You can really hear the zeppelin influence here. I just discovered this band about a week ago and it is crazy the influence they’ve had on me already. I’m walking around smiling humming their tunes in my head feeling confident. One of the best bands I’ve heard in years song for song, and they are only two albums in holy shit
These guys are awesome and I knew about em for a little bit. Seeing them open for gizz was insane though. Incredible show. Both bands absolutely kicked my face in. Fuck yeah geese
There are a lot of really interesting cultural, religious, and mythological lyrical references throughout, but the inclusion of Kali Yuga is the one that i think is the most important to the themes and narrative of this album: Kali Yuga in Hinduism is known as the "Age of Darkness" (or Demons, Chaos, etc), and is marked by pain, suffering, and spiritual decline. From Cameron's writing perspective, he is but a lone cowboy born to a wasteland where all he has inherited is hopelessness, and he's wondering whether or not the world is truly so 2-dimensional as to be solely defined by the inescapable gloom and doom. Hence the album title - it's a cowboy's journey to see if there's more out there on the frontier than desolation.
Just saw this band and song before King Gizzard. Loved every moment of it
Fuck yeah same
Dude they were so damn good
I was there. They kicked ass!
Same
WHAT AN OPENER
Can’t believe there’s finally a sequel to 212 by Azaelia Banks
don't you mean 2112 by Rush?
why not both
This is the coolest thing I've heard all year please do more of this. I need more of this, it's literally left a 2122 sized hole in my ear.

GOD OF THE SUN I'M TAKING YOU DOWN ON THE INSIDE
WHEN THE KALI YUGA COMES AND CLOSES MY EYES AND WE CAN DIE BY THE EQUINE
saw these guys opening for king gizzard they are so epic!!!!
Go back in time and release this album in 1965 just to see what happens
My brother John Lennon would shit his pants
Pretty sure that would trigger the exact kind of apocalypse described in this song
WE CAN DIE BY THE EGG WHITE
Its by the equine.

Two bands with insane, unhinged energy lol that sounds like it'd rock
I absolutely fuck with this, it sounds amazing!
I like the part where they play their instruments really loud and unexpectedly
album of the year so far
slaps so god damn hard unbelievable its under 50k views
Saw Geese perform live last night. Pretty freakin awesome. They included a couple minutes of Nilsson’s Jump Into The Fire into the middle of 2122!
in one song, looks like jon spencer meets butholle surfers in a bar an go to the house of mr bungle end the night driking with ween
Can't wait to see in which direction this band will go the next few years!

Read Revelation and it's the same thing. And more. Yet it lacks any reference here
a lot of human myths follow a similar structure @@papercut7141
The singer sounds a lot like Mungo Jerry. This is fire 🔥
such a great opener
Really good shit. Has a way of feeling so familiar but also new and fresh. Very hard for rock to do.
