Definitely reminds me of Bowie, as well as Arcade Fire (the latter of which they have stated they are striving to be the modern version of). It still sounds so fresh and unique though

I’m underwhelmed by this artwork and prefer the artwork related to For The First Time, but to each their own. The FTFT artwork kinda served as a contrast to the lyrics of that album, which is oddly fitting in my opinion. Like the looping video of the smiling snowboarder tied to Sunglasses. To me it was simple but effective, and highlighted the music.

To me this songs about leaving home disgraced but forgiving yourself and returning to clear your name came to me in a time of my life where that really spoke to me
“A concord will fly” great plane that’s remembered for one failure that wasn’t really its fault “Ignore the hole I’ve dug again” it’s easy to dig yourself into a pit of self loathing it’s a real strength to crawl out and move on
Huge step for BCNR. I feel like a proud Dad that has watched my moody teenage child blossom into a respectable well functioning adult. Still has that beautifully chaotic arrangement that drags you through a journey like the whole of FTFT, but much more accessible and good vibey. Would have been so easy to do a remake of FTFT but they've been bold and progressed to a new level IMO. It's even under 4 minutes (⊙⊙) If anyone knows of somewhere that can put me in an induced coma until Feb 04 please let me know.

In the last 30 years only a few bands have truly been remarkable and uniquely brilliant In songwriting, lyrics, originality, musically. Only a few bands have truly pushed the envelope and have created something truly special. Music that is underground but also maintains the spirit of pop music. 1. Nirvana 2. Radiohead 3. Arcade Fire 4. Bon Iver (I almost want to include Dave Mathews Band but I'm holding back) Black country, New Road I believe has the opportunity to be one of these artists. Issac Wood is a very rare and special talent. It's a shame he will not be in the band anymore. It maybe selfish for me to say he is depriving the world of something truly beautiful but I do hope he gets better. That's what is important but the costs of creating great art is maybe too much for him to bare. I've not heard anything this important since Bon Iver self titled album.
