Hard-pressed to find a singer right now with more personality and weirdness than Cameron Winter.
Man I wish this version of the song was on the album.
This is objectively the best song I’ve heard all year
I liked their first album a lot but I have a feeling 3D Country is gonna propel them to new heights. So far in the two singles you can hear a lot of maturing from this band in songwriting and technique, especially Cameron’s singing, which sounds possessed compared to the first album (where he was already pretty great). I’ll cross my fingers the whole album is this great, it sounds like they’re evolving quickly

The first one is great but it definitely fits in among some other sounds, this one sounds like they're finding somewhere totally their own. A cross-pollination of all kinds of familiar sounds, sure, but it adds up to something fresh and, frankly, fucking awesome.
Evolving is not always good, these new songs do not sound good at all

I love how all of us who knew Ween instantly made the connection when we heard the vocal delivery, song variation and lyrics on the album. While everyone else is seemingly expecting them to start "reviving classic rock". It's gonna be fun to watch where a band with Ween as its main inspiration is going to go over time...
One day I want to be as cool as this cowboy dancing alone in the desert to music seemingly coming from inside his crazy old cowboy mind.

@@ShinyFlakesShinyFlakes oh dang I’m sorry you feel that way. I find his style super unique, kinda evoking a style of the past like Jim Morrison combined with modern post punk a la Julian Casablancas. Just really dig the sound, works for their music. Hope it grows on you

@@flowerfairies4685 I just read up on it on Genius, basically they had a short version on the album originally. Then, they made a music video for it, which is this one, but it had a longer instrumental than the album version. Later, they released this new version on an EP with the name 4D country, and then they changed the title of this video so the versions are consistent.
They would probably have just named it "full version" or something if they were a regular band, but they are clearly not.
this is an extended version of 3d country which they released for their 4d country ep, in this one they have like extra 2 minutes of jamming near the end

I have been listening to this tune for a couple of days now. I like the ''vintage recording'' mix. Not many crazy effects on the guitars, really mellow. The vocal is beautifully mixed and of course, masterfully performed by Cameron. Honestly, I liked the mood in the beginning of the song the most, such a classic feeling I get, it's that emotion of freewheelin'. A shame there's some hiss in the beginning. Otherwise, it sounds really good. It's incredible how sound evolved to this point in music history, this recording would blow anything away if it were released 50 years ago.
