Was super baked last night watching RUclips and this whole music video was an ad, normally I skip ads but this one kept me intrigued the entire 6 minutes. ❤

I liked their first album a lot but I have a feeling 3D Country is gonna propel them to new heights. So far in the two singles you can hear a lot of maturing from this band in songwriting and technique, especially Cameron’s singing, which sounds possessed compared to the first album (where he was already pretty great). I’ll cross my fingers the whole album is this great, it sounds like they’re evolving quickly
The first one is great but it definitely fits in among some other sounds, this one sounds like they're finding somewhere totally their own. A cross-pollination of all kinds of familiar sounds, sure, but it adds up to something fresh and, frankly, fucking awesome.
@@ShinyFlakesShinyFlakes oh dang I’m sorry you feel that way. I find his style super unique, kinda evoking a style of the past like Jim Morrison combined with modern post punk a la Julian Casablancas. Just really dig the sound, works for their music. Hope it grows on you
@@ShinyFlakesShinyFlakesis singing is very exaggerated, which can be a turn off, depending on how it’s done. I personally love Bob Dylan and hate Anthony Kiedis. You can definitely tell he has some vocal chops though. Listen to that line around 2:58
I love how all of us who knew Ween instantly made the connection when we heard the vocal delivery, song variation and lyrics on the album. While everyone else is seemingly expecting them to start "reviving classic rock". It's gonna be fun to watch where a band with Ween as its main inspiration is going to go over time...
@@flowerfairies4685 I just read up on it on Genius, basically they had a short version on the album originally. Then, they made a music video for it, which is this one, but it had a longer instrumental than the album version. Later, they released this new version on an EP with the name 4D country, and then they changed the title of this video so the versions are consistent. They would probably have just named it "full version" or something if they were a regular band, but they are clearly not.
this is an extended version of 3d country which they released for their 4d country ep, in this one they have like extra 2 minutes of jamming near the end
Let's hope for 3D Country Deluxe? 4D Country? 3DXL Country? I just don't know but maybe at least the full song standalone so you could perhaps just que it next for almost original experience.
I have been listening to this tune for a couple of days now. I like the ''vintage recording'' mix. Not many crazy effects on the guitars, really mellow. The vocal is beautifully mixed and of course, masterfully performed by Cameron. Honestly, I liked the mood in the beginning of the song the most, such a classic feeling I get, it's that emotion of freewheelin'. A shame there's some hiss in the beginning. Otherwise, it sounds really good. It's incredible how sound evolved to this point in music history, this recording would blow anything away if it were released 50 years ago.
IT AINT EASY LIVIN' ON MY OWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Damn you get some good ads geese is superior I see them at shaky knees a few years back
@@jeremybatten1791 I know right! I never heard of this band until that ad came up 😂 Thanks RUclips! I hope they come to WA whenever they tour next
it should be a law that all ads have to be as cool and engaging as this, otherwise you get to sue your ISP
@@maxseth1 they were playing at a festival in PT (Fort Warden) today live on KEXP!
Yeah I don't think I'm high enough for this yet. I'll check back later.
This album is healing my soul.
i feel like i'm going to simp for their songs 10 20 30 years from now?
0:45 I love the way he sings grabbing the dollar bills for some reason
For real
Since I was born I've heard the voice of the father

I was Cassidy's gun and she was his daughter
And I was the country
We were young and I was water, I was rum

Cutting my brother's neck grabbing the dollar bills
The day the cowboy cried
And I gave up on love and you gave up on light
And so began my second life
And honey I'm leaving everything behind
Caesar's old roads are gettin out of my mind

Rolling up the pieces of my life
Used to tear em up, I used to cut it down
Double it back I'm turning around, I'm goin home

(A cowboy with a one track mind)
It ain't easy livin all alone
(He drank a cup of the devil's moonshine)
And I saw the dead come alive
(Allulah no anna see ray yah)
What I saw could make a dead man cry, I'm goin home
Losing love, my baby's leaving town
Said my honey's flying high above and never coming down
Oh and I'm sorry for my stealing hands, the way they take it all
Oh hi oh dee rama no lie, I was hypnotized by the great wall
You know you know you know you know
I used to cut em up
I used to tear it down
I coulda been the king of this town but I'm going home
It ain't easy livin on my own
(A good heart and a wicked mind)
It ain't easy living all alone

Oh I saw the dead come back to life
(Allulah no anna see ray yah)
What I saw could make a dead man die, I'm goin home
Hit me, hit me, hit me, come on, come on, hit me, hit me motherfucker
One day I want to be as cool as this cowboy dancing alone in the desert to music seemingly coming from inside his crazy old cowboy mind.
Criminally underrated at 25k views. Can't stop listening
Good to see Easy Pete is still kickin
This band should be huge and changing the music scene right now

If these boys were not Ween fans I would be astonished
This is objectively the best song I’ve heard all year
Very in the vein of Ween, good stuff

Man I wish this version of the song was on the album.
It’s on the b sides ep called 4d country
For some reason the whole end section with the breakdown and “hit Me” gives me goosebumps every time.
I just heard this album and this band for the first time and holy fuck this is great.
honestly my favorite song of 2023
I could swear this great song was called "3D Country" just a few months ago.
shit transcended

I'm sooo hooked on this song god his voice is so nice.
Hard-pressed to find a singer right now with more personality and weirdness than Cameron Winter.

This band is amazing! Really refreshing
I love the high concept of meeting dominic

So stoked I've found this when I did. As an aspiring songwriter good to know there's still a market for this kinda stuff.
God that solo is magnificent
Such a phenomenal song bro this is my favourite this year tbh.
The opening drum line has been my alarm for a solid six months. I’m still here rocking out to this. Never get tired of it.
5:50 - this part makes me want to dance like the guy in the video, the most euphoric ending to a song I've heard in a while 🤠
this is such an insane track
I even get a little Grateful Dead feeling from that song. First I have heard of them. Love it!
This is in the running for best song of 2023 for sure. Fantastic sound!
