Takes a lot of thinking and skill to build something like this.Your attention to detail and function is awesome. This truck really does look like a full size truck when you play with the camera angles.
Rite on Brother great to see the ol girl. You know the other truck guys will welcome FatBetty. Man she even looks sweet out fitted as a logging truck took.Looking forward to the next video. Thanks for sharing my friend and hope you are doing well.
I absolutely LOVE this truck! It just looks so old & crusty looking that it's cool. Perhaps someday I'll have a truck that's as versatile as this one is.
So cool! i like how you made it so versatile to accept the different types of payloads youll need to haul, all with custom mounts, very innovative.nice work!
Thanks Rick! When I first built it, I called it a utility truck with just that in mind, a tractor unit that I could switch out with what was needed for the job. It keeps it interesting, you never know what you'll get with a FATBETTY video :o)
Thank you mate. Sure did, it was a fun day, seen some very impressive models and run Fatbetty around the layout. Videos to come later this week hopefully.
Looking for the right words to explain how awesome this truck is to me.where I live logging is a major industry. I see quite a few different styles of trucks in the woods.
Thanks Tony! I just been checking out you channel, I got a few bb guns (got a 1911, AK47 & Dragunov SVD) and am a old school Star Wars geek myself. Subbed.
Thanks for this fascinating look at Fatbetty´s clever design. I´m lost in admiration - she seems to be infinitely reconfigurable! I hope she goes down well (so to speak) at the Truck Club event. I´m sure she´ll be surrounded by admirers.
I've been working on my 68 ford vatera body on a tamiya hi lift chassis, another project in progress, seeing you work inspired me to do more, keep it up brother😀
Cheers mate! I am glad the video inspired some more work on your build. I get the same inspiration watching other folks videos as well, youtube is great for that.
Thank you Patrick! Yes, I always wanted to build it as a configurable tractor unit that I could switch out for different loads/jobs. On my build list still to this day is to make an old style truck crane/excavator to go on the back also.
Fatbelly is a BIG model That's not 14th like so many big trucks, that's really a 1/10th? Ok I typed this before I even finished watching the video. So this is quite a bit bigger. That thing is amazing.
Thanks Mike, yeah, she is about 1/9th. I did not work to a scale as such, I just eye balled it. However, 8 inch figures I used as a driver are 1/9th from what I found.

Thank you mate! She does have the full size rust that is for sure. ;o)
Groovy seeing the ole girl out & about again!! She always look amazing Brother.
Thanks Twist! I is fun to get her out, I do feel a bit guilty when it sits for so long the deck becomes a parts storage place for current builds.
Very cool,i like the old truck and the trailer, they look awesome :)
Thank you very much!

Thanks Robert. The guys at the truck display were great. She certainly caught the eye of the spectators. I got a bit of footage to edit up.
@@OldIronRC Awsome buddy looking forwards to the video.Oh yeah I ordered a mig welder cheap one so I can build things
That sounds like a fine plan to me! Can't beat the home builds, it is very satisfying.
I absolutely LOVE this truck! It just looks so old & crusty looking that it's cool. Perhaps someday I'll have a truck that's as versatile as this one is.
Thanks Anthony, yep, it is definitely a crusty looking old girl. Getting rustier every year.

I miss watching your content mate
It's good to see fatbetty I've taken a few of your ideas for my truck build
Thanks Mark. That's why we share our builds online, so people can use ideas. It makes me happy to hear.
Fat Betty sure is beautiful, you do awesome work cy😀
Thank you brother!
The driver needs a hickory pinstripe shirt !
What sound unit did you have in this truck at the time
“What did you learn in school today?”
“Today I learned what a Skeleton Trailer and Trombone Trailer are!”
“Very good. More tomorrow.”
I am not sure if that is local slang, or proper names, but that's what I know them as.
What scale is Fatt Betty? She looks awesome.
Not built to an exact scale, but somewhere in the region of 1/9 if we base it on the height of the 8 inch driver figure.
Hermoso qe laburo. Es arte
Gracias amigo
