@@thomaszhang3101 That has nothing to do with flaw everyone downloaded their magazines (provided it wasn't an internal one). even today most soldiers get told to load their 30 round mags only to 26-28 rounds simply to reduce wear on the springs and improved reliability.Magazines aren't disposable afterall. They get loaded and unloaded serveral times in their lifespan that fucks the springs.

Firstly, the metal quality for the spring is poor, so loading more than 25 will wear the spring down quickly. Secondly, StG mag was designed to be long so soldiers can use it as a monopod when shooting prone or in trench. However, this caused the magazine to rock back and forth as the gun recoils, leading to feeding issues. It is exasperated by the heavier weight at the end (from the 5 extra rounds). If you watch RUclips vid of StG, some shooters (like VikerTactical) will demonstrate how much motion the StG mag has compared to other assault rifles.
