I played a match today in a logistics squad and a German player joined that didnt speak english. Between Vades videos and picking up combat related phrases in German through video game voice acting I was able to communicate well enough with the German player to relay information to him and play cohesively. Based on this wholesome gaming experience I am now considering taking lessons in the German language.
Originally I started learning German just for a meme, but now I'm finding my basic understanding of the language is actually useful when it comes to milsim games, because apparently only Germans and Australians play the military simulation genre anymore. Like you, I plan on actually properly learning the language one day so I can actually connect to German servers and communicate with my team.
We germans love it when someone learns your tough language but be warned! It's really hard and we'll all be speaking english with you as soon as we hear you speak english :) We love english ^^
Arnheim usually turns into a terrible slugfest. We managed to cross the bridge by splitting our forces and moving in quickly after bomb strikes. We kept up the momentum to take the two churches. We took quite a few casualties doing so, especially because our armoured vehicles were very vulnerable in the streets. We had few tickets left to attack the last objective 'Train Station'. It got close!

It was a true military blunder for the Germans, who took horrific losses of both men and equipment (they lost half of their armored vehicles during the attack). They stormed that bridge despite all the glaring evidence that doing so was a horrible idea. If their Commanding Officer wasn't killed in the battle, he probably would have been stripped of his commission and put in prison.
55 kills to 11 deaths. I think I’m in love with StG. You can do so much more with it than say a K98. Notice how Vade seldom use hand grenades when he is using StG.
Who needs grenades if you shoot them all! On a serious note, there's a time and a place for grenades... especially so for smoke grenades! Most people either never use them or throw them all the time...
Hey man, Kar98s can be fantastic in the right hands, you just need to know how to use it right... Just ask my RO2 scores where my top weapons by a significant margin are all bolt action rifles... Not snipers, but just regular ass mosins and Kar98s
@Brandon_37 You say that like that isn't the literal reality of 20th century combat. obviously an MP40 or STG is better in close quarters... that's like saying being in an M1A2 SEP is safer than standing around in the open with a big red target painted on your chest. But, just because they're *better* for "sniping" doesn't mean they're useless in close quarters... they're big and slow, but nobody's getting up from an 8mm mauser to the chest... 9mm luger? maybe...

@@Vade ja lernkurve ist hoch, aber dank deinen tutorials gehts. bin nur überfordert da ich ständig zum gruppenführer aufsteige und die ganzen möglichkeiten noch nicht drauf habe. vielleicht solltest du ein fortgeschrittenen gruppenführer video machen, wo du taktiken und einsatz der möglichkeiten demonstrierst.

It's always nice to come back to classic videos of Post Scriptum such as this one, which really highlight why we play the game. Post has evolved so much since 2018 especially with such a small development team. Vade I do believe has most definitely contributed to many a player deciding to play.

Not really: Scheiße obviously means 'shit' but the exact meaning depends on the current situation. I generally try to translate in a way conveying my meaning rather than the exact word by word translation. If I was british I'd have said 'bloody hell' ... :D
I never managed to play a game like this, so i don't know if you usually get a good number of players to play with. But IF NOT, do you guys think that will ever be possible for a game like this (realistic, in the level not too many ppl enjoy it sadly) be played massively, and turning out to get the developers to get resources to add more and more content (factions, weapons, better sounds, better effects, locations) into the game?
Von der Bewegungsgeschwindigkeit und dem gunrecoil siehts super aus, nur leider etwas steril. Panzer vertragen auch zu wenig, nicht ganz realistisch. Trotzdem besser als BF. Leider gibts auf der Konsole nichts.
If it got this close with this great of a game how are germans supposed to win in a more even, less fast paced match? Or was it close because a lot of people died while pushing?
@@tsesuutromaria2459 keep in mind, tannenberg and Verdun are two titles, you have to buy each one. I only got Verdun, can't speak on the behalf of tannenberg

This map is not liked. Is it because it is near-impossible to cross the bridge under fire & get into Arnhem from that 'rural' side of the bridge?
3 years late, but yes. Arnhem turns into a gory mess real quick. Just like the real version. It can be really frustrating for both teams, this map.
