“I don’t see this for life” seems she wasn’t kidding!
Yep - This clip did not age well !
Least she got her avocado
She's not yours, it's just your turn
That's what happens when you marry someone who loads the dishwasher the wrong way lol
He can try his luck with Anthea Turner now
I would like to see Jon and Lucy play against David and Victoria Mitchell.
YES! Take note Channel 4.
Amen to that!
Yesss
Omg yessss!
Hope C4 take note!! I’m definitely up for that!
I've been enjoying Lucy on Taskmaster. She's so sweet, but randomly pulls some absolutely unhinged things out of nowhere and it's just so hilarious.
The perfect way of describing her! Lol
Definitely came off better than Jon on Taskmaster.
@@nathandts3401 I enjoyed Jon on Taskmaster but Lucy was just comedy gold through and through. Really everyone on Series 16 was imo.
@@nathandts3401 I didn’t find her funny
@@nal7812you don’t need to, mate
I love Sean’s reaction to Jon explaining that it’s too busy on a Sunday.
A genuinely exasperated laugh.
RIP Sean.
Wait is sean dead?
@@86lanzo
Sadly yes. Cancer iirc.
Life's greatest achievement .. seal clubbing
I love how despite the fact they're married, they still have to be socially distanced. But maybe Jon insisted on it.
I guarantee you, even though the fact they're married is the focus of a whole discussion, people would STILL have rung up to complain if they hadn't been distanced.
I'm guessing it's just the way the set is made. They don't change it around depending on the make-up of the teams.
"can't be too careful now, can we dear?"
I like to imagine that during lockdown John put loads of tape on the floor and measured out 6 feet making sure they always stayed suitably separated :)
No one needs to be “socially distanced.”
It’s all about controlling your mind.
I guess her constantly stacking the dishwasher wrong finally got to him.
Well, to be fair, she did give him a fair warning lol
The signs were there, everyone just laughed haha 😂 😂
Lucy and Sean Lock (rest his grumpy soul) would have been such an insanely funny book writing duo
The Tiger that went for a pint in Hull! Brilliant book.
“I’d never had an avocado, now we have a daughter.”
Lucy is quite funny. Her delivery is just great. It's subdued and subtle. It's like being punched in the nose with a giant marshmallow. It doesn't exactly hurt, but you still have to live down the fact you got hit.
That's such a great way to describe it!
She can literally break you down, without being mean in words xD
@@Dutch_fellow Thank you. 😁
_being punched in the nose with a giant marshmallow_
I do have to remember that one, it's genius!
Why are British folks so expert at dry-as-Sahara delivery? I had to grow up with Jim Carrey 🥲
@@lartisteautravailjims not that bad lol
@1:02 this hits differently today after Jon's announcement on social media about their separation.😢
Oh no! Truly a shame. I only learned they were married within the past year so it is a true rug pull
I love watching Jon and Lucy...for me their shtick never gets old.
?
Their what?
@@rectify2003 shtick. Basically their “thing” stuff like interactions, humour etc. just a generality
@@TheFartGod69 Thanks
I think 'schtick' is a Yiddish word that nowadays means USP - that's unique selling point for the uninitiated.
That bit about the face of a deaf baby hearing for the first time being like his vegan face eating steak made me genuinely laugh so hard!
Although actually hearing is usually startling at first so most babies just cry the first time they hear.
on Taskmaster Lucy said she is a vegan, she just keeps forgetting lol
The rock-climbing jab is superb. Also her accent is sooooo good.
I've sometimes wondered what style of a woman would be married to John. And now I know. And it's about as perfect as you can imagine.
They've just divorced so probably not as perfect as we'd like to think.
Can't wait for Jimmy's insults for Jon now
'You can have any tea towel you want' 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Sometimes you meet a couple where you know they are made for each other. This is one of those times. Amazing haha
This comment aged well haha 😂 😂
@@Creedy10laa how come?
@@Dutch_fellow you've not heard their getting a divorce?
1:04 she was true to her word
@5:56
"YOU NEED A POO! GO TO THE TOILET!!"
Ah, me! I love Lucy!
I love Lucy. She certainly holds her own in comedy.
Yeah man, it's been 72 years, of course she holds her own.
@@Itwasalwaysme_Noone Bazinga!
"Like a family of raspberries standing over a grave."
8:42 the beat my heart skipped seeing Sean.... Great video.
I don’t normally care for celebrities, but it’s really sad knowing he’s gone. I’m sure he’d be cracking jokes about it now.
Lucy comes across as refreshingly honest,
Not to mention she is really funny.
True she wasn't lying when she said they wouldn't be married for life
1:00 Oh, oh no
they're so funny together,, we need to see lucy on cats does countdown more!
I never watched Meet the Richardson's, BUT, I would watch an episode in an instant if Jimmy Carr was a guest, and simply was there to roast Jon and always side with Lucy, that would be hilarious to see.
What would also be great is: Carrot in the Box between Lucy and Jon 😅
@@jigglchoo8858 Because Jimmy Carr "is funny"
Susie Dent's on the show.
I think Jimmy might be the only celeberity who isn't in it
3:45 funny thing about that Wilkinson's perineum comment... Jon Richardson has a stand-up bit where he tells a story how he rubbed his wife's (I assume the very same one's sitting next to him) perineum for months in special oils to prevent it from splitting during labour :D
She just hits it exactly on the edge. Fantastic.
Anyone here after hearing about their divorce?
Lucy is too pure to this earth
She really does seem too good to be true doesn't she? Like, she must do something horrific we don't know about like she makes kabobs out of puppies and kittens..... ;-p
Every time we go there he says: " you can have any teatowl you want" - thats Jon in a nutshell! So funny 😉😘
My catch on the Hull accent sucks. Who does Lucy name? Amphy Turner? Closed caption doesn't have a clue.
@@jatredies Anthea Turner. She turns up later in the episode (2019 Xmas special)
Michelle and her frog was fantastic
their kid is either going to be the funniest or the most depressed person ever
I reckon it'll just be both 🤣🤣
@@SamannyV That is how that often works. Which is extremely heartbreaking.
Usually the funniest people are innately depressed
@@michaelmay5453 Humour can be a really helpful and healthy way to cope with depression.
@@junbh2 I know, I just think it's heartbreaking that some need a coping mechanism to go through life. It's not a comment on the action, I'm just empathising with their struggle.
I've seen Lucy on Taskmaster! I had no idea they were married :O the bit about her being a vegan who eats meat makes a lot more sense now hahahaha
Also, it was Roisin Conaty who introduced Jon and Lucy. She knew they were perfect for each other. Jon once said Roisin introduced Lucy as his future wife to him. 😂
@@jand563 aww
Lucy is so funny. Meet The Richardsons is a very funny show. It's a bit like An Idiot Abroad meets Emmerdale. Jon obviously being the idiot, but set mainly in Yorkshire. Comedy gold.
I adore that show. Very surprised Jon did it. Apparently he was the instigator of it too. Baby steps Jon!
I’m currently watching Lucy on Taskmaster. She is so delightfully weird.
I love how Jimmy always emphasizes that she's 'real' 😅
This has aged fantastic… todays news was something 🤐🤐
Well this was highly prophetic wasn't it...
Yep
I just think it is so sweet that she fakes being full to get John to enjoy some steak ver cute
1:00 OH MY GOD IT HAPPENED
The only time ive been envious of jon is when he married lucy. lucky sod 🙂
A stepdad, lol. My glasses literally fell off the top of my head.
Thats nothing, my shoes fell of my elbows
My hat fell off of my ass.
My toe fell off my foot. Im diabetic.
Oh how I ❤Lucy! Hilarious, brainy, kind, and totally GORGEOUS.
I find her very funny and she is hot.
I love how this whole bit is just the reverse of “take my wife” humour, but it’s okay because its the guy this time. Lol
After hearing that book read I am thoroughly convinced that John has actually married girl Sean!
can’t wait for this show to return
Guess this predicted future quite accurately
She knew at that point she was going to divorce, hanger on
Absolutely hilarious watching this clip now that Jon and Lucy are actually getting divorced 😅 I mean, she did warn him it wasn't forever 🤷🏼♂️
Not saying the producers should have Anthea Turner appear unannounced and fold clothes beside John... Perhaps introduced as someone's mascot on the other team as a distraction? :)
You should watch that episode.
I was expecting there to be a carrot in that box.
3:05 - Sounds similar to the whole shamed-filled routine around eating an Ortolan! 😂
Lucy is a riot.
this is why they work ying and yang perfect
Jon Richardson is my third favorite comic out of Britain, Sean, Sean again, and Sean tied with John.
How prophetic this turned out to be.
they are so wholesome together.
Which episode is the children's book bit from? I thought I had seen every episode, but apparently not.
Please have Jon and Lucy play against Victoria and David.
She is freaking briljant. :-D
Well. They are now...
This aged well 😅
These two could have a reality show 😆
They do have one. Or at least, a half scripted half improvised docudrama loosely based on their real lives.
Jon did well.
Lucy is a treasure.
This is relevant
When Sean laughs...
💎
This aged well..
my ideal marriage right here. goals tbh.
u failed 😂😂😂
@@coraline1503 yeah this didn't age well
I just adore Lucy,,,, for a multitude of reasons...😘😍
The clues were all there...
If ever there was a time for Ian the Beef Waiter to show up...
Reminds of Sean reading a tiger who went down the pub ❤️
Yeah but seans was good
Any time I think I need an ego check, I remind myself that Jon Richardson has more luck with women than I do.
Your going to have to tell Jimmy what B & M is 😄
This hasn't aged very well... aged like milk, one could say
She's bloody hilarious!!
Mad crush on Lucy....
Anyone watching this after hearing that they are breaking up for real?
«Step-dad» 😂😂😂
well....yeah, that happened
So... wonder what we're all doing here today.
Didn't Anthea Turner show up in one of Jon and Lucy's skits somewhere?
She did, in the very same episode.
0:55 oooo that aged very badly
Do they practice -carrot in a box- at home?😂😂😂
What is the season and episode which Lucy?
The episode that starts playing at about 4.5 minutes in - everyone is just caked in makeup.
7:40 😭
Just imagining lucy acting like will smith lol
Should've gone for Rachel, Jon.
A stepdad........🤣🤣🤣
How can you put in the Anthea Turner crush reveal bit, but then not include the bit where Anthea comes out? Does a 5 year old run this channel?
She’s an absolute scream !
It turns out yes they were in the process of breaking up 🥺😭
Imagine, here you have five persons and Richard Ayoade & Joe Wilkinson isn't the weird ones
Gall Dang, Jon I have a spare room if it gets worse. ~hugs~
Any tea towel you want...? Luxury.
God she speaks slowly! Imagine how much like grandparents they are like at home already
