In this Broadcast Award-winning, BAFTA and Emmy Award-nominated entertainment show, Taskmaster tyrant Greg Davies (Man Down, Cuckoo), with the help of his loyal assistant Alex Horne (The Horne Section and the show’s creator), sets out to test the wiles, wit and wisdom of five hyper-competitive comedians.
Comedians that have risked life, limb, and dignity in the hope of making the Taskmaster proud so far include: Frank Skinner (The Frank Skinner Show), Mel Giedroyc (The Great British Bake Off), Romesh Ranganathan (Asian Provocateur), Hugh Dennis (Outnumbered), Sally Phillips (Bridget Jones’ Diary), Rose Matafeo (Edinburgh Comedy Award Winner 2018), and Russell Howard (The Russell Howard Hour). Unaware of what awaits them in each wax-sealed envelope, only one competitor can become the victorious owner of His Royal Task-ness’ golden head and be crowned the next Taskmaster Champion.

Except Katherine was humourless and was also not very clever in the tasks. Lucy is so funny and completely intentionally comedic even though she plays this sort of flighty character.
Lucy, the best at referring to herself in the 3rd person, even if she was the only one who wasn't sure what that was. Love her 🥰
I love how Alex finds Lucy so charming that I get to see him fail to hold in the giggles. Thanks, Lucy!
Her talking about realizing she needs to go back to therapy because of Taskmaster has the same energy as Frankie Boyle tossing a bin over a gate he easily could've opened and deciding he should go back to therapy too 😭😭 Excited for the new series!!!
IIRC the gate actually had a latch that was all the way up. Another contestant needed to get a stick to open it.

My favorite contestants are always the ones who seem like they only occasionally understand what other people are saying, but they're really happy to be included in the discussion.

Her look of bewildered delight when Alex asked for muscle-y fingers spoke to me on a spiritual level.
I'm sure Jon Richardson was yelling "Debajo de la Mesa" at Lucy for weeks before filming started.
I do appreciate that this channel keeps giving us updates. I know that it may take a while to watch the episodes outside of the U.K., but knowing it will go up here is great.
They just announced that the S16 episodes will be going up on this channel just 24 hours after the original broadcast, in many territories outside the UK.

It’s funny how the third person thing completely broke her ability to speak even when she didn’t need to say anything with her pronouns in it. She was just fully overthinking lol
The brain doesnt really do multitasking outside of subconscious actions. So doing two higher thinking tasks at the same time, one with a twist can be quite challenging for those who are not quick switchers.

I love these interviews, they're such a perfect teaser for how the new contestants are going to behave, Lucy's adorably awkward energy is going to be so much fun, I cannot wait for the new series!
I'm looking forward to seeing Lucy in Taskmaster, and this just proves why she will be so funny (if a little eccentric).

Honestly the nz version is OK, but not as good as the UK version... Especially the taskmaster themselves. Greg is soooo much funniest than Jeremy wells...

The first minute and especially 0:48 tells me absolutely everything I needed to know about her as a contestant. Already loved Lucy from other shows but I’m so excited to see her shine and get to know her without Jon. Can’t wait!

Either Lucy's husband Jon is way more patient (among other great qualities) than his onscreen persona, or the "real" Lucy is slightly less chaotic. Probably a little of both I assume. She has been a lot of fun on TM for sure.

@@tribalpeacock no she really isn't. She's been an actor, a stand up comic, she's also written TV and her own TV show with her husband is also scripted even though they don't admit it. She knows what she's doing.
@@urmumsbaps I don't dispute that she's a success in the comedy world. I'm extremely familiar with her and Jon's work and especially enjoy their "Meet the Richardsons" series. Her mum is a hoot! All I'm saying is that through watching her for years, I've come to the conclusion that Lucy's generally knowledge is non existent. It does work for her content though.
