I retired 4 years ago after 30 years in law enforcement. As they say, I miss the clowns but not the circus. I keep in touch with a bunch of the guys I used to work with who also retired. It’s great to catch up with them every now and then. Yep, everyday is Saturday lol! More time for family especially the grandkids! It’s nice not having to say… can’t make it I have to work! I’m sleeping better, eating better and enjoying the time to do whatever I want when I want. My father is elderly and requires more attention so I’m available to do that and I’m thankful I can. Keep yourself busy with whatever it is that you like to do. It’s time to enjoy the things you can do now! Congrats!
Congratulations on your retirement, I retired in 2020 after 37 years with my local fire dept and it was the best move I ever made. Bought a 2022 FLHP IN 2022 and never looked back.
I am right behind you on retirement. 25 yes of doing the cop thing is enough. I plan on selling my Sport Glide and upgrade to a Road Glide or Street Glide and ride the snot out of it. Congratulations and be well. Greetings from sunny Arizona!
Congrats on your retirement!!!! I would recommend protective gear for your practicing. I understand that we don’t get to choose what day we go down on our motorcycle but we can always be prepared when it does happen!!! Be safe and keep up the great work!
Congrats! I'm finishing up year 2 of retirement. The thing that took me the longest to get used to is the habit of waiting for the weekend to do stuff. I still have packed weekends because I go out and do stuff with friends who are still working, but it took me a while to get used to going out on a random week day to shop or whatever.
Congratulations brother Cue! I’m sure you’ll find the ability to get more miles and enjoy longer trips on your scooter. Stay safe and thanks for your positive outlook always. 🫡🤜🏼
Que, congratulations and best of luck on the next, and likely best chapter / journey of your life. I have said this to many, make a plan (short, mid and long term) for your life or plan to die. Slowing down is great, and well deserved…living in the moment is difficult for man, but being purposeful in all things adds value. With regards to sugary drinks, glad that you are getting healthy….this should be the number one thing you place into your plan. Nutrition wise, sugary drinks have made companies rich while the consumers get sick and develop diseases. Live this chapter of your life well as I know you will. Be and ride safe.
Hello Cue, Congratulations on your retirement, I just retired 8/31/2024 as a VA/RN. If I had to talk about my retirement, I could use your exact words because I’m experiencing the same thing.
Enjoy your retirement. When I retired, I took day trips (~2 hours) away from home at least. Got to check off some bucket list things. Most of my friends are still 9 to 5 worker bees; found some new friends with same interest in motorcycling. Ride safe and happy holidays.
Congratulations brother. Looks like it’s 2 for 2 for you now. Another 6 years for me and I’ll be done too. Look forward to seeing you again on the next ride.
Congratulations, I’ve been retired for the second time for about a year now and I struggled during my first 6 months because I thought that I had to be doing something and was always anxious. Now I understand what it’s all about and absolutely love it, riding and wrenching. Riding from Virginia to Memphis again in May for the Memphis in May BBQ event, hopefully I will see you there.
congratulations--I have been retired for awhile(getting ready to turn 75) one thing that will keep you going is find a way to exercise---it will keep you active which you have been by working all these years. Ride safe and thanks for the videos!
Congrats!!! I'll hit 10 years out after 38 years doing the same as LOMROB below me here. Retirement is great. I highly recommend it. Too long but started when I was 18. I'm lucky enough to have a pension and small SS. All I want to do now is ride. I'll go until I can't hold the bike up anymore then I'll go to 3 wheels. Thanks for all the videos. I'll help out the old crew once and a while when they need it and I want some pocket $$ but only IF I feel like it. See you on the road I hope. 3+week xcountry trip coming this summer besides Daytona, Sturgis, and Laconia. Maybe Myrtle.
Great to hear the news that you have retired. Congratulations! I retired a little over5 years ago in June of 2019, I took a solo trip to the west coast. Gone for over thirty days. I hope you can pull some money together to do some riding with out a schedule. I also have church on Sunday and look forward to my grandson coming over on Saturdays. Ride safe brother.
Congrats on your retirement. I retired in April and I'm currently at my winter home in Lakeview Arkansas. Summer place is in Vale SD. I make sure I accomplish a task a day. My reward is to pack a lunch and ride to a new scenic place. Or I go fishing in the morning and do a chore/ project in the afternoon. I have a ton of projects I can finally finish and a bunch I want to do. I always do cone work once a month or before a trip with my Rickrack bag on the tour pack and a semi full seabag strapped in the backseat to simulate my girl. Comes in handy having confidence on trips, riding on grass at campgrounds at rallies with all our gear for a week or two. I bought my 2022 Ultra- Apex new, paid it off and retired. USN 82-86 GSM on a FFG in San Diego, Golden Shellback 2x.
Congratulations brother Cue! I’m sure you’ll find the ability to get more miles and enjoy longer trips on your scooter. Stay safe and thanks for your positive outlook always. 🫡🤜🏼.
Congratulations on your retirement! 🎉 Hoping to follow in about 7 years myself. Great prelude to the next video, and I'm really glad to see you're alright! 🚴♂👍 Can't wait to see you as a guest on the podcast-it’s going to be awesome! 🎙🔥
Dang things are slick!, Done the same thing. if you ain't falling you ain't learning. MGD's??? I got em. Thanks Cue. Congratulations on retiring. I am excited to get there next year. Oh, It's Thursday today. So, damn funny, I really thought it was Thursday. yeah, I am semi retired and don't know what day it is.
Congratulations Cue. Retirement is the best, as you are already learning. I've been retired from law enforcement for 13 years, and my advice to you is not to put off bike trips you want to take. Do them now while you still can.
Congratulations on your retirement. Now is the time to reflect on the next chapter of your life. You already have a passion, i.e. riding your motorcycles. If you desire, why not turn that passion into a way of making capital by sharing your riding skills with those who wish to learn. I'm sure Robert Simmons can provide you insight into doing this.
I could have retired 2yrs ago, at that time my wife was already retired…..she’s home 24hrs a day, if I was home 24hrs a day it would be death or divorce My brother,73, is going back to work, mainly because the do nothing lifestyle is killing him. He can’t walk 1/2 mile without resting I work rotating shifts, I never know what day it is……my wife tells me when to go to work, she has to keep track of my scheduled doubles In a yr I’ll be 65 and considering it, but the way the economy crashed over last 4yrs I don’t know if I can afford it…….maybe retire and do another full time job then at 67 start SS….make sure I got everything I need….. I need a new tractor with backhoe
First congrats on pulling the plug, i do have a question for you though, how old are you as I to am seriously thinking of doing the same as ive been at the same job for almost 38 yrs but i to am a young man and like i tell everyone who asks.. the fat lady an't singing yet but shes definetly picking out the band members.
I'm one drop closer to perfection. Some people are proud to have never drop their bike. I take pride in dropping all of mine. You can't become a better rider without learning your limits. I push all of my bikes to the limit.
I always have mixed feelings when pressing the like button when something happens that isn't good. I don't want you to think that I like to see you crash p.s. i probably won't retire i will just take a little more time off, hopefully
I did too! That drop caught me by surprise. I made a poor choice with cones....the cone started sliding once I ran over it, which took out my front wheel.

Very well done sir. Enjoy your retirement. Sounds like you've earned it. 7yr. Retired myself. Able to pick days when we ride..

Congratulations! Welcome to the Retirement club. It's a beautiful thing that a lot of people never get to experience. I don't take it for granted.
I am thoroughly enjoying it so far!
Very well said. Privilege many are denied..
Congratulations on your retirement!! Hope you put out more content.

@@charleshilliard9151 I think I'll be there this year. Tough thing about the BBQ event is that you have to know someone....I don't know anyone!
Robert would be proud that you’re out there practicing, slip or not!
I hope to be able to retire within the next couple of years, before I see 58
Congrats on the way of life. I aspire to that lifestyle one day.

I'm hoping to ride to Alaska this year. Probably be gone close to 30 days. I can't wait!
@RidingandWrenching go for it. I wanted to do that in 2021 but Canada and the province of Yukon had way too many regulations.
Congratulations on retirement
Thank you!

Those cones aren't ideal for patterns. I'm going to keep using them, but I will use fewer of them to minimize the risk of sliding.
@@RidingandWrenching Sorry, MDG's. Motorcycle drop guards. Dyslexia Bro.
Congratulations
I’m retiring next month and I am looking forward to more motorcycle rides and practicing in parking lots.
Once the weather is nicer, I will be able to devote more time to practice. I want to participate in more motorcycle rodeos too.

You are better than you think. I've seen some motorcycle safety course instructors ride and you can ride circles around some of them.
Did you retire from the Navy also? I retired, 30 yrs Navy, now working on my 2nd retirement. 2 years to go.
I was not in the Navy long enough to retire. Most of my career was with Toyota and Ford. I was in the Navy for about 6 years.
@RidingandWrenching solid channel Q. One of my bikes is a 23 CVO. You have gave some great pointers on those. Thanks for your service.
