  • Dear Colleague,
    Open bite is certainly a pain in the neck for all of us to treat. In orthodontics, an open bite is treated with intrusion of upper molars using miniscrews, extrusion of incisors, or with surgery. If you are lucky enough to see the patient in the pre-adolescence, you might be able to gain some mm of bite closure with funcional appliances. But there is a very important thing that you always need to look at, when treating open bites: and that is incisors display

    Dr. .. you mentioned in the video. that the pat. should keep putting the elastics for another 3 to 4 months to prevent relapse.. did you mean the CL 2 or vertical elastics?

    Dr. please, what is meant by low and high torque bracket? and in what cases we can use them?
