One-step Overjet reduction: orthodontic lecture about funcional appliance and braces

- Literature suggest protruding upper incisors should be retracted as soon as possible to avoid a greater risk of trauma. In this orthodontic lecture we will see how a dental functional appliance, the twin block, can retract the upper incisors while activating the mandible. In orthodontic school, after orthodontic diagnosis, I was thaught to use two different appliances to do that, and then dental braces. But after seeing how effecting that is, I use that.

I am currently having this problem with a few singular teeth, but my dentist won't do anything 🙃😬
If you're over 13 or 14 an appliance like this probably won't do much. Maybe your dentist isn't comfortable doing orthodontics.

i applied braces twice.. both the times within 6 months.of removing bracess my teet got back to its outward posion leaving my teeth too weak..

I am 30 and have over jet class 2 ll... I am wearing removable braces since 1 month. Will it work for me. Because my orthodontist told me removable brace will nt work in this stage.. He said go for permanent metal braces but that need extraction of 4 pre molars upper two n lower two and i am nt ready fr that please suggest
I had my treatment with aligners and results are pretty awesome, just have to be pstient and tske care of your teeth, my problem was exactly the same

What is the ideal time to get treated for overbite after putting braces ?
Around 11-15 due to property and changes for bones 16+ recommend jaw surgery or talk to a orthodontist!

Hi I got my braces last month, and today my orthodontist change my wire bracket I only got front row braces , my orthodontist said he will be putting bottom row braces next 3 weeks and I’ll get forsus spring next 6 months is that normal?

You can wear braces,You will feel pain but after that you can have a better smile and confidence☺️I am also getting braces tommorow.
I can feel your pain,but there is one surgery also for these types of teeth.
Best option would be braces it’s not ideal but time will fly and once they come off you’ll be so much happier and confident
