I know I'm some 3 years late to the party, but for those who come up even later than I did: The best part of this video is where René joins the pack just in time for SC clear off, starting some remarkable overtaking thereafter. Bester Mann!
Wahnsinns-Leistung + beste Strategie!! Voll verdient nach dem Pech von gestern. War auf der Tribüne, aber onboard sieht man erstmal wie krass er arbeiten musste!! Wittmann kann einpacken!! Glückwunsch und GR
Congratulations to René, after the SC period he made some wonderful overtakes restarting from the last position on grid because he stopped to change tyres under SC deployed. After that, he had an impressive race pace, so he deserved to obtain that victory!
Ingenieur 21:12 tack your time to warm them up. Ingenieur 21:40 saftey car in this lap, Rene where is it ? Ingenieur Saftey car entering Motordrom. Rene ohh and then attack mode👍😂😂😂
Can someone please explain why is he "resting" his left feet on his right one? He does it all the time, but here is one example: ruclips.net/video/9GHFvXG831I/видео.html What's going on with the pedals?
Thats very strange. I see it for the first time. And to be honst, i dont understand it ?! Maybe its just a relax Position, to stay away from the Break with the left Feet.
He explained it last year, that this was basically to make sure his right foot didn't lift off the right pedal during a bumpy straight (keeping it 100% planted lol) “I just want to avoid that my foot slips just the slightest bit from the paddle on one of the numerous bumps to not lose the slightest fraction of a second. Therefore, I press my left foot on the right to make sure that it definitely doesn’t move. I have been doing this everywhere, since I made my first steps in motor racing. In every racing car, even in the Cup vehicle. My right shoe always is somewhat dirtier than the left,” explains Rast.
Useless technique with this cars now, and it doesn’t make any difference. The point? Drivers like to be seen different from the others. I find this a bit showy to do
a full-race onboard of the beast rené rast, and with radio comms?
damn i wanna marry the person who had this idea
yea this is awesome.

Sounds a lot more F1 than actual F1 has in years... Rast is a beast on Hockenheim.
What an absolute unit!
complet onboard. i love germany
Awesome Drive. Well done champ.
Excelente video, gracias por compartir. Espero el próximo. Saludos desde Argentina.

Very nice 😂😂
These onboards without non stop bla bla bla from commentators are the only way to enjoy a race. Brilliant, thanx.
Yeah, I didn't wanna say this but these 4 cylinders sound better than the old V8's
Love it. Is it possible to add a position counter to the onboard screen?
Bravo. Maestralno. 👏👏👏🙏

Ein tolles Rennen. Wofür ist dieser große Gelbe Drehschalter da?
4:51 erstmal die Leute in der Kamera mit Peace begrüßen 😂😂
Endlich mal synchron 🥂👍👍👍
MEGA!!!!!!
Very smart team, they undercut everyone with that satefy car pit
Megaleistung vom Rene Rast.
Just watched the race. I'm curious though, why are there no Mercedes Benz cars in the series? Doesn't seem right to me without them.
They left at the end of last season and Aston Martin took their place!
Gerade noch dazugestoßen beim SC :D Aber dafür mit nem frischen warmen Auto allen davon gefahren!
Stell dir vor er Wäre 5 Sec später dran gekommen dann hätte er voll durchziehen können :D
@@Racingisgreat Stimmt. Aber die Planung wäre wirklich eng gewesen ;)
I wish to see somthing like this with visor cam
Pov. Yeahhhh
How many laps are these races? Or is it a time limit? Someone kind enough to educate me please
60 Minuets and one lap
Why cant we see a multicam stream online?

Anyone know what’s the purpose of the secondary vertical lights seen on either side of the cluster?
It's the grip lose. The cars have no TC and ABS, but they would work when the lights blink
now someone please give me this man's cheat code, could come in handy next time doing online racing.
good graphics BTW
Can someone please explain why is he "resting" his left feet on his right one?
He does it all the time, but here is one example:
ruclips.net/video/9GHFvXG831I/видео.html
What's going on with the pedals?
İ think he is making sure he is pedal to the metal and his foot is not exhausted.
what is that yellow spinner for?
08:43 is he holding his left foot over his right foot to make sure he doesn't accidentally lift off the throttle or something?
I heard once that if you press the pedal harder you go faster.
Your foot gets exhausted over time and you might not be pedal to the metal all the time so he is distrubuting the work.
3:47 Engine start
5:01 Ok and rev (from here on is where you might begin to realise this is not a sports car, if you didn't already)
When u have number 33 ur always no.1
what is the center console front crank that Rene turns ?
Pretty sure that’s an adjuster for brake bias (front/rear)
Why he press the gas pedal with two legs on the straights?
Thats very strange.
I see it for the first time. And to be honst, i dont understand it ?!

Is that new turbo engine revving over 8k rpm?
Yes, they now rev up to 9500 rpm.
