There’s a very simple reason why “artists should be special” in this argument. Because in all of those previous technological innovations, the new tech wasn’t literally stealing all of the previous labor of the old tech to even exist. The evolution from wagon to car didn’t steal wagon makers labor to make cars. Car makers created new tech and required NEW labor to make the NEW tech. AI tech is STEALING from other artists without permission or compensation to function. That’s a pretty big difference Todd.
