This was Made before that
Yoshi being able to eat things through walls is a carry over from the original Mario world, which even had a secret exit based around this mechanic. It’s also used in a story mode level, so it’s definitely intentional here too. Also, there is actual meltable ice in Mario games (Mario 3, Wii, And U have coin ice blocks and muncher ice blocks), just not in Mario Maker. I think it would make for a nice addition to Mario Maker though

1:53 actually yes you can, but it involves a certain setup where a slope is poking out from a tilted seesaw just enough to start a slide, which will then transition to the seesaw.
The "S" in the Stars in the night theme stays for "Smashy"
The whole see-saw having different weights idea is good, it could be used for checking if someone has a mushroom before they progress or something.
The hitboxes is where it's at.
The fire does melt the ice! That's why it's slippery.

You forgot one more thing: floating boxes, blocks and even ground! It is possible to place in mid-air boxes, blocks and even ground blocks! -What?!- I get the mid-air enemies, but why can I place a ground block in mid-air? Why it doesn't fall?
Oh, and the naked pipes!... Especially for the naked warp pipes: if a warp pipe is naked, Mario should enter in it and imediatelly fall (or go out of the same exact pipe)! Like seriously! It makes no sense!

I’d love a fragile ice block that you can be melted with any form of fire and can have items be kept inside it like a ? Block. It would also work well with Fire Bros, which we should also get in styles besides 3D World.

There's been fire underwater since Mario 1 though, so it's at least consistant.
I liked it. :Lenny:
1) the ice is really, really, really, really, really cold
2) Biggerer Mario has the same density so he’s the same weight
3) Mario has sticky boots
4) Luigi is kind enough to not steal Mario’s P-Switch or POW Block
5) The Spike Traps don’t feel like it right now
6) The Spiny Shellmet is no longer spiny when worn
7) Magnesium fires
8) The Angry Sun doesn’t like being three dimensional that much
9) Luigi is hacker :o
10) Their legs and shoes are slippery when they’re like that, try a different theme
11) It’s like a highway, from the side it looks like they collide but they actually don’t
12) Flags can’t swish that well under wind
13) Banzai Bills aren’t alive so they’re gizmos

5:03 i think the game assums you and luigi as one entity, and 1-way barriers only solids of the entire body is on the other side in front of the arrows pointing.

The angry sun in NSMBU doesn't look sad, he's just bored.
I found another one the other day. In 3D world style the hammer can destroy hard bricks that Mario can’t, but it can’t budge sand or dirt or snow.
The one-way gates makes sense. The game believes that the hitbox of the person holding the player is the hitbox of the player they're holding. The same thing happens if you use a mushroom and go through a one way gate where the characters head is sticking out. The game thinks that two player stacked is one player with a mushroom, which is confirmed since you can break bricks if you have a small character hold another small character.
