That would depend on the project, and when and how you decide to use it.. More facility equals more options to choose from. If you do this in a gentle pop song, yes you would be fired, but that would have been your choice. Using it for 1 bar as a fill in a fusion track? That would be encouraged..
@@ferggriffindrumsTotally get it! I found the video interesting and informative but, as a (very loosely) intermediate drummer who has been looking into alternatives to the basic paradiddle, the prospect of 32nd notes scares the crap out of me! So this is very much an advanced technique that I understand but am a long way from being able to play. But it's gone into the memory banks and maybe it'll come out one day, so thank you! Will be checking out your other stuff...
Appreciate the reply, man, thank you 💙 I, absolutely and entirely, understand. I’ve been playing drums for 20 years and this video was just me trying to be creative with Paradiddles and seeing what I could come up with using them. I’ve just done a video, however, on getting started with 32nd note drum fills. That will be a far better starting point for you than this! Once you can feel them, it’ll be a lot easier to try different patterns. I walk you through the whole process in that video from start to finish, so check that out, and I really hope it helps. All the very best and good luck with your drumming journey! 💙
@@ferggriffindrums Appreciate the suggestion. It seems to me that you might be based in the South West, your name is familiar to me, might have cropped up on Music Workshop Bath insta at some point? Sorry, not a stalker!
Haha no worries and not at all. I am based in the South West, and I have been to Music Workshop Bath! So, it’s quite possible we’ve met. Nice to meet (virtually) a fellow Brit drummer! 👊🥁🫡

Practical applications vs 'getting fired for using it'?
