    You are the best demonstrator in this entire business I have never heard anybody so clear so truthful and so educated with limited wording without draining the want to know feature about learning this industry

    This looks like one of those nice easy climbs where you can practice safe work practices and respect the risks involved, even on a smaller tree

      I am finding the resources extremely useful too! It seems the videos, the ebook, test questions and website were all created as part of an Erasmus programme from a couple of years ago. It was for students from Iceland, Denmark and Slovenia.
      I have participated in an Erasmus programme before in an entirety different field. Safe climbing seems way way better!
      To the creators of the programme, well done and thankyou for keeping it all online and viewable.

    Cool video.
    One issue, why would the climber bother taking the scabbard with him up the tree?

      Yeah BRO! WEST COAST BRO. Where the trees are straight as an arrow and the houses are in the woods. So much harder than a 80 foot span white oak completely grown over a house. WEST COAST BRO. shut up.

      So that the chain doesn't damage the rope while climbing.

    Cutting at neck height?

  • @olkofri
    @olkofri 4 года назад +1

    Why do you put sling on branches (ruclips.net/video/9Fti8AF299M/видео.html) before cutting ? You need to lower them down at some point.

    • @safeclimbing7392
      @safeclimbing7392  4 года назад +2

      The sling is put on the branch so you can control where is falls/lands. That way it is a bit safer for the groundsperson to work under the tree, not having to worry too much about branches falling everywhere. Before climbing you decide in a spot to drop all the branches.
