As an American on the east coast it surprises me how you have a lot of similar, if not the same, species as us. The bass you catch over on your side of the pond look similar in body structure and are even targeted in similar ways. The only real difference is the size. A starting point for a Striped Bass to be considered large is 40lbs and anything over 50 is exceptional (once in a lifetime fish).
It shouldn't be too surprising that share species, or variations of, as it is the same pond; The Atlantic, that is. And some fish do get around a bit. Eels, for instance, both European and American freshwater eels, all leave home and swim to the Sargasso to spawn, and then back again (I think): the elvers do for sure (personally I wish they'd stay there, but... hey ho!). So, that's my little contribution, and I'll just sit tight now for someone tell me that's all wrong, but.. hey ho, again. Anyway old sport, great video as always and keep 'em coming. Regards.
