These egg chairs go on sale in August. I just bought one online at Walmart at $299. It was $100 off the original $399 price. Get the roomier rounded ceiling type not the pointed ceiling type which many have said cramps your head in uncomfortably. I sat in one of these egg chairs 2 years ago and fell in love with it---sooo comfortable & cozy. I fell in love! I like that it has a "ceiling" over your head so you can drape a tablecloth over the top if you want to sit and have instant shade, then remove the cloth when you don't want shade. I will receive mine in 5 days. I plan to use it outdoors then bring it into my living room after summer. Saved my money for this. Can't wait to get it and set it up.
Beautiful little oasis! One concern is for the tree that has the plastic at the base not causing it to slowly die because it wont be getting adequate water or soil to air circulation. That tree has had a nice long life and adds beauty to the yard. I imagine you'd like to keep it that way. Thanks you for your creations! Be well :)
Thank you but a tree that size, roots are a lot further out than the small area I covered. It's two years later & the tree is doing fine. I think that a better option is fabric sheeting but if you use plastic, it won't kill it. I guess we won't know until many, many years later if it dies.
Not only is your decoration I pleasing it but you did a lot of detail and putting down that plastic you did a lot of work and it is very very relaxing looking
I Truly Love what You did with Your backyard, It's Beautiful and it looks Soooooooo Comfortable. What a Stunning idea for the Bamboo fence! 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕
Loved your video you did everything in detail is very very good enjoyed watching you your project looks lovely your backyard you did a great job should be so proud of yourself so glad I came across this video it was very helpful
I think in the long term, the plastic isn’t the best idea for under concrete, just FYI. It doesn’t offer a means for any moisture to escape, so it must escape through the concrete, which will most likely cause cracking.
You’re right Cindy! Thanks...it’s now almost a year later after I did this project and I’m going to show you guys soon how well it’s doing a year later, I have no complaints!
Beautiful job!! Love it all. A hint that my friend came up may work for the cute chairs you put by the tree. If the legs sink in, cut an “x” in tennis balls that you spray paint after and place under your legs. It works great!
What a sweet world you have created!!! At nite is is just so peacful looking. What I really noteiced was texture. The texture , curves and size of the dream catcher goes so nicely with the two chairs. Very inviting space. And really, isn’t that what we all wanr in a space? Thank you for sharing.
I watch so many videos related to bamboo and backyard decoration and tiki, and your use of the solar lights with the banboo has such a great look and style. Your entire set up is great.
This looks amazing. You did an awesome job. The lighting is beautiful. I may have to get a couple of those chairs for my front yard. One Tip: Check for the protective spray for your cushions on the egg chairs. This may aid in keeping them clean.😊
And the entire ecosystem is going to die from all the people that think that rocksliding and mulching their former yard is somehow “environmental“. (Can we sue HGTV for all the stupid, hideous, ungodly design out there? I say quite possibly yes...). They’re destroying the habitat of...pretty much everything, and they just figure that “other people” will pick up the slack for their lazy, nature-hating selves. Turning your property into the equivalent of a parking lot is not environmental. It’s irresponsible and downright lazy, and if this generation doesn’t pull its head out quick and start planting things and having plenty of environment for...like...you know...stuff that’s...like alive and stuff...they’ll realize far too late that you’re part of nature whether you like it or not… And if you hate it so bad, just commit some sort of crime so you can go straight to prison or to an insane asylum, because they already have plenty of concrete and steel and gravel, without having to destroy all the perfectly good neighborhoods. Talk about being completely blind to the big picture… Which also explains the way most drive as well.... The under 35 crowd (and the younger they are, the worse it is) needs to snap out of it ASAP, put down the remote, read a patent or two on TVs and then use those last two brain cells productively and toss that thing out the window, wipe the drool off their chins, get some real intelligence instead of relying on “artificial intelligence”- and the reason it’s called “artificial intelligence” is because it’s not actually intelligent....And once they’ve done all that they should desperately seek somebody old enough to have some first-hand experience on how life is supposed to be before they’ve been so programmed that they’re lost in the matrix forever And once they’ve done all that they should desperately seek and apply all that can learn from somebody at the very least over 35 (the older, the better) so they’ll have someone old enough to have some first-hand experience on how life is supposed to be, before they’ve been so programmed that they’re lost in the matrix forever... For many it’s already too late. They enjoy having their brain turned into a mushy cesspool of mental shite.... And what do they expect, when they let the TV vomit all over them every day, while they swallow it all up happily, and turn around and try to puke all that crap all over everyone else as well?
Kimberly, thanks a lot! It's now a year later and the tree is doing great! The roots expand alot further than the area I covered. Also wood absorbs water meaning the bark of the tree and stems on the tree retain water. Thanks for your concern but it's doing great. I'll soon be doing a year update so stay tuned. Thanks!
Hey Nikkie... great job! I'm going to give you a little bit of advice about your chiminea... I lived in Santa Fe and Kiva Fireplaces are similar. But these ARE different than regular chimneys. Next time you build up one... try creating a little teepee with the bigger pieces of wood... then you place inside that the little ones and your starter material (pine needles, pine cones, etc)... Of course... you start by layering the starter stuff first and then build around it with the logs. this way the smoke goes OUT the top and not out the front. I read all the comments to see if someone had said this first... didn't see it. hope this helps...
Thank you for all the support! I'm 28 subscribers away from my end of the year goal! Please help me get there, I have some fun projects coming up soon!!!! Love you & Happy New Years!!!
OMGoodness! The bamboo fence idea is brilliant. That is precisely what I need to put up to hide my sizeable ugly propane tank. I was wondering what I could do myself without trying to convince my husband to help me build something. Great ideas and impressive improvements!
I loooove the idea of the bamboo fence!! So pretty!! I had been searching for a way to make my backyard more private and all the other options were way to expensive!! After all: it’s just a rental. But wow! The bamboo PLUS the lighting made this look very glamorous!!! I definetly know what I’ll be doing this summer!! Thanks for sharing!!!
Very inspirational! I love your cozy habitat finished project. Great vision , planning and execution of your project. Mostly impressed by your wonderful ability to share what you love to help others. Grateful to be 60 and learning from you!!!
Beautiful how you transformed your backyard!! More expensive than I hoped but with fall in sight I hope stuff goes on clearance! These lights on the fence are such a great idea!!
Thanks! I think that the chairs are pricy but Target sells them for $200 more so Walmart is cheaper. Also, when you consider the price of hiring someone to dig up grass & install a fence, it's much more.
Thank you everyone for support! I can’t wait until you see the DIY Pergola I’m doing. You’ll see it soon!!!
I'm new on your channel. What an awesome job
Hey when are you uploading this?
Hey! It’s my last video uploaded.
Thank you!
I'm only 2 minutes in and already I can tell that the bamboo gives the fence a much more _elevated_ look.👌
this is beautiful!! however one of those chairs would be my budget..
Lol girl I understand! It took me some time to save my coins lol
Facebook marketplace, thrift stores,& used Amazon items will be your best friend!

The fact that you have a budget shows that you are disciplined. Save and you will afford more.

I think in the long term, the plastic isn’t the best idea for under concrete, just FYI. It doesn’t offer a means for any moisture to escape, so it must escape through the concrete, which will most likely cause cracking.
I think she poked enough holes in it with the nails while tacking it down! I'm sure the water can escape there, just saying!
You’re right Cindy! Thanks...it’s now almost a year later after I did this project and I’m going to show you guys soon how well it’s doing a year later, I have no complaints!
So lovely, it's such a beautiful and peaceful oasis, great job.

Thanks a lot Susan!

I’m absolutely stealing your fence idea 🖤
First of all, absolutely beautiful 😍 however, I'm concerned your tree may die from lack of water due to the plastic 😞

Hey Nikkie... great job!
I'm going to give you a little bit of advice about your chiminea... I lived in Santa Fe and Kiva Fireplaces are similar. But these ARE different than regular chimneys.
