I've watched a lot of painting videos and yours are my favorite. Straight to the point and effective. I'm actually painting a squighog army following along this video, so thank you!
@@TableTopReadyRUclips your still bloody great mate. Can you maybe do a video on nighthaunt from age of sigmar one day? I like how they blend the colours but idk how to really do it. Also how do you find our how to paint these minis?
Cheers. I don’t think I’ll be doing any night haunt content anytime soon to be honest. Go check out mengal miniatures though. He has an amazing tutorial on his website and I would just do what he’s done. A lot of the techniques are the same when it comes to painting, it’s basically just choosing the colours. I tend to spend a day looking at pictures and turn around a on the games workshop website and then I do a plan and script which does change as I’m painting and changing my mind on things which I find work better.
Still putting my Boarboyz together since I have an uncrollable need to convert everything but I am glad to see this tutorial, especially for the mouths, seems to be one of those areas I blank on when painting for some reason.
Your tutorials are absolutely amazing. Very clear and precise, love the tips that you give throughout even though they are the same as other videos. Other content creators can tend to feel like they are repetitive but if you don’t watch a particular video you miss the tip. I would love to see how you would adapt you colour selection and mixing with less paints. Is a struggle to follow sometimes not having all the colours that you have. Keep it up!!
Thank for the time taken to give such great feedback. When I approach a new tutorial I always assume no body has seen any of my other videos or knows what I’m talking about. I understand the struggle for not having certain paints but the best thing I feel I can do is to show people how to do things without having to mix the colours. If we can work with the colours that already exist it helps with consistency and means your more likely to get the same result as I do. It also makes batch painting multiple miniatures easier as well. But if you are the kind of person who likes to mix colours then absolutely go for it 😃 just feel the vibes as your painting and see where it takes yah.
Wow I really appreciate that, thank you. It’s the best thing someone can do to really help a channel 🙏🏻 I’m really glad you liked my content enough to do that.
That would be an interesting colour scheme 🤔 and patterning. Using inspiration from things we love else where is a great way to personalise our own miniatures 😃 go for it 💪🏻
Been lagging behind in painting myself and your Videos.... but DAMNNNNNN SON!!! This is pure 🔥🔥🔥🔥 I love and hate you all at the same time 🤌🏻🤌🏻🥰 keep em coming dude.
I’ll ask Santa to put it under the tree for yah this Christmas. It’ll be an ancient Chinese scroll and it’ll have a mirrored surface when you open it, because the lesson will be that it was in you the whole time. Just like in king fu panda 2
There needs to be a love button as I love your ork videos, my bank balance would disagree but I don't listen to it haha I'll have to order these guys on payday. Just wish white paint wouldn't clump up so much
I 'm glad I could help. if you are struggling with white. Corax white is a great alternative. It covers really well and if you get clumping you could use a flow improver or acrylic thinner rather than water
Awsome. These miniatures were a lot of fun to paint and I definitely underrated the level of detail in them. I’m glad your enjoying my content. I’ll keep the videos coming 😁
oooo I love Orks, so much fun and full of character and these guys are are just cool looking miniatures. Make sure to take your time, check out some of my other more recent tutorials. you may find some things in them that I do better now I have more experiance. i hope you have fun painting them
I’m working on some snaggas myself for my own army. Honestly if you follow this tutorial and the vehicle tutorial, they should go along way to help you getting a rig painted. I’m not sure when or if I will do one in the channel, nothing planned
Thanks for these videos Mike they're my favorite guides on youtube! Could i ask what colors you might use if you wanted to make purple squigs instead of the traditional orange? I've followed your videos and used your techniques for painting my army in my scheme but im having difficulty painting purple squigs that dont look so pastel
thank you :) when I painted some purple squigs the main skin colour was xereus purple. shade with naggaroth night and highlight daemonette hide. the under belly was daemonette hide and slaanesh grey highlights. you could still do the black stripes or pick something more funky of your choice :D
Thanks for the guide! My hogs look great! But now I have a question. How do I glue the gretchin on without ruining the paint? I think the orcs will be easy as their friction fit is pretty tight.
I'm glad I could help. I would use super glue and just be very careful and take your time :) scrape away paint on contact areas if you feel you need to
If the model has a large base I’ll tend to use blue tack and stick it to one of the old GW painting handle. Other wise I use either plastic shit glasses or Jenna bricks
There's one serious problem with your fantastic tutorials, they make me want to buy more minis. Love your work
Haha that is a serious problem to have. I’ve got so many things I want to make tutorials for
I've watched a lot of painting videos and yours are my favorite. Straight to the point and effective. I'm actually painting a squighog army following along this video, so thank you!
Awsome. It always makes it worth while knowing my tutorials are helping people to get their own miniatures painted 😃
GW are looking for eavy metal painters btw.
You'll be a great addition to the team. the next Duncan perhaps?!
haha I'm flattered you think I'm that good. I'm not that good yet and I really enjoy making these videos as well. Duncan has some big shoes to fill

Yeah the mouths are as important and I find even myself not giving it the attention they need sometimes
Super helpful I started with my orks already but my squig game is leveling up after this tutorial
awsome. I'm actually painting some more at the moment for my army :D
Your style really makes these models stand out!
It’s the magic of wraithbone spray haha

Clearest video I’ve ever seen! Well done.
I'm glad you think so :)
Spot on 👌 You've quickly become my second fav painter on YT. 2nd only to Mr. 2 Thin Coats himself - Duncan 😁
That is some high praise indeed, thank you :) I'll do my best to become your favourite now :P
My man, this video is perfect! Exactly what I needed to get me going on my models, thankyou!
your very welcome, thanks for the comment :)
Great video! I love the stripes.
I still need to paint my beastboss.
I want to paint the squigosaur like the Pokémon Garchomp

9 months late but I just started a Beast Snaggas army and this was great. Almost as good as the Warhammer paint tutorials.
I better up my game then. Gotta get Better than games workshop 😉 haha glad you think so highly of my content. Such huge praise. Thank you
Aww yisss! Got me some more of them Chunky Highlights!
There’s plenty more to come 😉
looks awesome, stealing that ork skin ❤

As long as i was able to help in some way, I’m happy 😀
These guys look great. I just ordered some. I'll definitely be following your guide here for the most part. You do absolutely fantastic work!

I've still got some more Ork tutorials on there way :)

Thank you very much :D
I do this exactly 😆. Only the red, i take gryphound orange contrast for the squig skin. Great vidéo.
Dakkajet tuto paint one day?
ooo interesting. thank you. whenever I get some dakkajets I'll do a video for yah :D
Another great video! Keep up the good work!!
Thank you, I will

Good work
thank you thank you
Great video
Thank as always 😃
How about a tutorial on those awesome bases
They’re very simple. I just use the Martian mix from geek gaming scenic 👍🏻 simple
Just a quick question how do i paint armor for stuff like commander dante with a drybrush i can figure everything else out just not the gold
Thats the neat part you dont
I would start with a gold spray undercoat first, give it a wash of reikland fleshshade and then a drybrsuh of liberator gold
Nice vídeo brow!! Thx!
Thank you 😁
9:00 look at that magnificent bastard
thank you :)
hi mate, love this tutorial. nearly impossible to buy morghast bone here, do you know of any other alternatives?
Yes you could use wraithbone 💪🏻
thx u!!!
No, thank you 😊
is there a reason why you paint orc skin last ? i tend to do it first as it is "below" the rest of the mini
its really just the order I chose to paint things for the video. you can paint things in what ever order you prefer :)
Uuuh that leg color combination could be neat for inflammed/infected limbs
I didn't think of that. it would be good for that kind of stuff
How did you put the finished models all together? Just super glue or was it something else?
Just super glue 😃
@@TableTopReadyRUclips ah okay thanks, I'll definitely try this with my Squigs. 👍
How many different colors were used for these models?
All the paints I use are listed in the description and shown on screen during the tutorial
Great Job, how did you do the base? Thx
Thank you. I use a Martian mix from geek gaming scenics. They do some great basing stuff
What do you use to stick the ork as painting handle?
If the model has a large base I’ll tend to use blue tack and stick it to one of the old GW painting handle. Other wise I use either plastic shit glasses or Jenna bricks
