For future, when you get the invasion message on the right look around the blue portal is there. They attack buildings first, so some walls near the portal gives you time to work through the spawns.
Yeah you're right, I ended up building a handful of walls and a hedge tower in my game near thr portal. Helped a bit but ultimately I needed the help from the majority of villagers. Gotta figure out a strategy to have everyone at the ready during the invasions and not sleeping hahaha 😅 Thanks for the tip and watching!
I got my ass handed to me. playing solo and got attacked by 3 Skellies with great swords, killed them but very hurt I still only have beginning weapon (still learning the game) then right after that, had attack of the first test of the Gods. It was something different and all glowing. tuff to kill. But I killed that too. with very little health left. Then right after that. ended got attacked by a Giant Bear and with no health to back me up. I died. lost everything.. Attacked by 3 different events all within 5 minutes. was not fun. I think I will wait for the option to turn off invasions. I like the survival, village building of the game and the blood moons are ok .. then I Had a really hard first winter lost 2 villagers. the Goat bunnies Kept constantly stealing all my food even with a fence around it. So annoying not fun at all.
That sounds pretty rough! Yeah there is a bit of a rush to everything and can make it all hectic af at times haha. But if you can get the essentials sorted early and get thru the winter, it gets pretty casual after that. There's definitely not a lot of direction which adds to the challenge but it's very much doable, even if it takes a few restarts. Best of luck, thanks for watching!
The first one will be the toughest. Deff want to have a healer hut and the healer working at night for the invasion so you can heal. The hedge towers are good for tanking enemy attacks. you can find where the portal is quite a bit before the invasion starts so you can plan some defensive builds in the direction the portals at. Spike clubs for everyone and make sure to have a rested bonus too. The weaver gives you the ability to make clothing with some armor stats, which are very helpful and a must before the winter starts. The weaver is a workshop add-on. I think I had around 15 - 18 villagers when the first invasion came. Best of luck to ya and thanks for watching!!
Idk about the 2 handed swords but most tools / weapons can be put away, the last one equipped should be on the back. You can definitely sheath things but I tend not to bother.
I had the Bear invasion at day 21 and the first Test of Gods/Invasion at day 33. Is it all random? I have all achievments done except for the rare fish. Im currently at day 26
I think I've been getting the bear around day 21 as well. Maybe random to a certain extent but the invasions seem to follow the season changes, and right now it seems to be the same amount of enemies each invasion and that not changing IME. Awesome I also only have the rare fish achievement still locked! I hope more get added with future updates. Thanks for watching!
Yeah that's a bummer. The bear, if you can manage to keep it busy by running away and dodging, it will despawn after a while. Hedge towers are great for tanking enemy attacks while you deal with them. Casualties are to be expected tho. 😅

Yeah I think he has a whole perimeter and patrol routes all set up now proper. That's a good idea tho for the future invasions.

You have to run around with your 2 handed weapon out? You can't put it on your back?

I have only 3npcs when the bear came. It killed the two helper. Winter came, killed the other one. oh well.

Not sure about the number of people you're playing with but that would make sense. It scales based on the villager count from my understanding.
