The Brother MFC series printers do not use "cartridges". The refill is an actual tank that is getting replaced. Cartridges are installed above the print heads and hold very little ink, making them useless if high page counts need printing, not to mention that "cartridges" dry out in a short period of time. Brother offers 3 different sizes of refills for the MFC series printers with the XXL size able to print up to 6000 pages. The Brother software notifies you when the ink gets down to 500 pages, but doesn't inhibit printing. It will notify you again at 160 pages, again it does not inhibit printing. The best printer I've ever purchased was the Brother MFC-J995DW. It's on its second set of XXL refills and is still going strong. For less than $200USD it's worth it...and a steal at that price!
Thanx for the video. The main problem I have noticed with the cheaper inktank printers is that they only paper feed from the rear and have small displays usually not touch screen though they seem to be getting better. One thing that does worry me with these inktanks are the print heads dying out hence the reason I bought a brother laser. I still have an old Canon cartridge inkjet for printing CD and DVDs.
Sir, Brother inktanks is great t Dcp T520w for home use. .And Mfc T920w is nice also ,compact .Epson before is good but now ,we don't like ,cannon is nice quality but,,if you didn't use the header is stuck ..like hp if you didn't use the header easily damage. For me, Brother inktanks is best of all

I would agree but I think bang for your buck the Brother MFC-J4440DW is better value.

Sat tank printer in title but has other type
nothing like a robot review
I do not listen to robots
Ink tank printers are the only way to go. Cartridge printers make no sense in 2023
