This is adorable and the instructions are excellent I am a newly retired Nurse Assistant and used to being busy busy. Sewing helps keep me occupied. This will be great for my 6 year granddaughter who lives at the Jersey shore full time,. I will add a wrist strap to make it perfect for walkin' the boards! Thank you!
When you do that bottom pleat, it looks like a 💜!! I cannot wait to try this. Love a new bag corner technique! Thanks for sharing your Love 💕 of Sewing with the us all.
I love all of your tutorials. You make everything easy to follow. I learned how to make my zipper pouches by watching your videos. May God continue to bless you.
Real simple and cute, love how you did the bottom! This has motivated me to try something. I am going to try and add a couple tabs with rings in the side seams to make my mom, who is 94, a Fanny Pack so she can carry her cell phone
Great tutorial. I have found after making many zip bags that tabs make a nice clean look at the ends of the zipper. My zipper would always be pinched in the seam. I really liked how you boxed it out.
Vanessa I'm wondering could this be lined? Would you just line it in the usual way that I line pouches? The thing I'm wondering about is would you do the little talk on the lining the same way as the outside. I just don't know that I like the scenes showing when you open it up just my opinion. I love the looks of this though
Thank you so much for this video, I have been having so many issues with my corners and zippers. I think this is the most in depth video out there and I really needed it.
You don't even have to do the lining if you're still a beginner. You can take scraps of fabric and line the inside edges with it... If you know what I mean...there are tutorials with it too, it's quick and easy
Hi Vanessa. This zipper pouch is soo very cute and you have stitched it perfectly !! Your detailed instructions and tips are super useful for a newcomer like me !! Thanks!! Kudos to the cameraman for Great job!!
Loved the video & I think you're an awesome teacher! My pouch didn't turn our cute like yours. I always seem to do great until I get to the side seams. That's the point where, if I'm going to mess up, I'll do it there. What should I be doing to help my poor pitiful pouches?
I’m just starting my sewing journey and this looks like a good “first” project. There isn’t a lot out there for guys, (most sewing projects are pretty girly) but I can totally see me using this in my shop, or for cake decorating tools, and even for sewing notions! I’ll post the finished piece on Instagram. Thanks!!!
Thanks Venessa for agreat tutorial. I have made a few projects watching your tutorials. You are great teacher . Can't wait to try this . One question, if i add lining to a cotton pouch , do i have to box the lining in similar way and if yes how to assemble the lining and the outer bag .. thanks..greetings from India 🇮🇳
The easiest little pouch ever ! Thank you so much , I started sewing with you since you made the fleece hats for kids. My kids are grown so no I’m focused on purses
I just love your videos and close up views. Was planning to do something else this morning, but now I'm sewing! Thanks for sharing your talent and time. Ecdited to add that I made two in 30 minutes and I'm pretty new to sewing! Love them!
I had some left over vinyl after making your sewing machine cover and use it to make this. It came out super cute and it was the first time I added a zipper! Woohoo! I'm so excited that it looks pretty close to yours. My only complaint is that the vinyl is too thin. I should have added some fabric on the inside. Thank you Vanessa! I love all of your videos!
Would this method still work if there is a seam at the bottom of the bag? I have two small pieces of faux leather that I could sew to make a big one. The pinch method looks so much easier than the box method!
im a new newbie lol trying to incorporate fabric with my leather... i like leaving a bit of zip at one end of my pouch, do you happen to have a tut on how to do that... tyia and tyfs
Hello, how do u store the faux leather so it wont ruined? I'v recently bought quite a number of it and I kinda worried if it will starts to disintegrate of I didnt store it correctly. Thank you.
im gonna try this style boxed bottom. have been practicin my sewing on a few diff style projects. feeling more and more comfy. lol tyfs
I love this pouch. I just made a quite few of them. Is it possible to add lining to it. If so, can someone tell me how? Thank in advance.

Thank you so much. You have made this look so simple. I just bought some vinyl and I cannot wait to try to make these.
Best instructor, Easiest bags, and easy peasy projects from this lil lady, Crafty Gemini 💎💯🪡🧵
I stepped away from sewing for a bit but I am back now and so happy you are still teaching!
Yes super cute and easy project. Love how the corners are folded on the outside as opposed to them being inside and needing to be trimmed off.
Omg so cute, but I would like to line them, how do you suggest?
When you do that bottom pleat, it looks like a 💜!! I cannot wait to try this. Love a new bag corner technique! Thanks for sharing your Love 💕 of Sewing with the us all.

Thank you so much! I’ve made many cotton fabric zipper pouches but now I’m inspired to try faux leather…love your teaching style🥰
