Brandon jokes about the dubious legal arguments, but 4Kids Entertainment did somthing similar with Chaotic (a TCG that spawned a TV series and video game). 4Kids signed licensing deals to market the product in the US, and even played a part in some of the development. 4Kids apparently decided that this meant they owned the entire property. While the real owners fought this in court, legal action went on for seven years (ending with 4Kids *second* bankruptcy), during which time no one was allowed to release new Chaotic products which killed the IP anyway.

As a Thai, I'll explain that in 6:18 is actually the hell in Thai's Buddhist beliefs. They have something that call "The 5 Precepts" which tell the 5 sins that you shouldn't commit like one must not take the other's life, one must not steal, one must not lie, one must not have the adultery and one must not consume the intoxications. If you commit one of these sins, you'll be sent into hell with 5 different torturing for each sins that you have commit. For example, If you having the adultery, then you'll be sent to climb a spike tree naked, if you drinking an alcohol or taking drugs, you'll get fried alive in a really big pan that we see in the video. This is why this very specific scene always scared me as a kid, back in the time I still believe that hell exists LOL.

This looks like a weirder version of infra man, that movie was already weird enough, this also looks like a Bootleg version of zone fighter. But it would be interesting to see a co production between tsuburaya productions and toei with elements of Kamen rider and ultra man.
Holy shit, thanks for reminding me of Masked Rider after around 20 years. I remembered this series by I never could remind myself it's title. Once again, thanks a lot. Also great video!
@@ssj4jason737 Both versions are good in my opinion. One focus heavily on drama while the other leans toward a more super heroes story. Ryuki make being dead in the mirror world an actual burden on the mind. Different from Dragon Knight which just make the character stay in statis in the Void and can be revived. But that does not mean the American version does not have its fair share of dark or heart broken moments. (Kid's death and got revived as Ryuga/Onyx)
@@zeroakira584 I didn't finished the first episode of Dragon Knight as a kid because at the time i was already tires of "edgy black leather jacket bad boys".... and at the time i didn't knew what "edgy" means, so when i watched Ryuki i was surprised by the main character being a kind and dumb reporter.
@@Another_Hibiki yeah, Shinji was kind hearted and dumb main character, which differs himself from Kid who just another one of those "I want to find my dad" main characters. Sure, some will find his lack of serious attitude in a battle royale style serie jarring or annoying but the thing is the guy only fights to protect other normal people and end the game without further bloodshed, not fighting to enjoy the thrill of battle like Gai or Ouja. But when all the chips are down... oh boy does he hits hard. Seriously, aside from Odin and probably Survive Knight, no one aside him can 1v1 Ouja. And then there Ryuga, his evil alter ego, who also kick Ouja ass. Yeah, just don't make this guy go serious mode.

Ah, at first I thought this is about Ultraman. Because I remembered when I was little, there was a movie where a Thai "Ultraman" met with Ultramans to fight evil. One scene in the movie scared me as a kid because it was a scene where the bad guy shot a kid's head point blank. The kid was revived by Mother Ultraman and became that Thai Ultraman. Edit: Ok, so I saw that you've reviewed that one ^^;
Fantastic, amusing review once again! Now you need The Noble War to conclude Chaiyo's Hanuman movie series. In contrast to the previous movies, The Noble War is pure mythology-based. No crossover with Japanese characters at this time.
I watched The Noble War, I found the film to be too slow, it didn't get anywhere at all, I removed it off my like list and history list, real sorry everyone. 😢😢😢😫😫😫
Fun Fact the first era of Kamen Rider was mostly bug themed heroes. Then in the Heisei era especially the 2010's it went all over the place. You still a couple bug themed ones like Kuuga and Kabuto but then you get one like space theme videogame/doctor theme and fruit samurai made by Gen Uroboshi creator of Madaka Magica.
Truly appreciated that you review some of the weird movies from my country. If you want to you can review a Thai kaiju flick like “Garuda” (2004) of spiderman wannabe like “ Mercury man” (2006)
I know this isn't a movie, but anyone remember the old cartoon Tranzor Z? This one has tons of material to work with. One of the main evil characters is literally one half man an one half female split down the middle and the underlings refer to them as "Yes Sir,Ma'am." The main good guy's robot is piloted by this tiny little hovercraft type vehicle that lands at the very top of its head and is encased in nothing but glass. An obvious weak spot, but nobody ever attacks it. And it's special attack is a "rocket punch" which shoots its own fists off at enemies and if memory serves, they explode. So...yeah. It doesn't stop there. A little later in the series, the main good guy gets a female side kick who also gets a giant robot named Aphrodite A. Instead of her robot shooting her fists, it literally shoots breast rockets....
You should do a review of Varan specifically the Japanese original version since the American cut is absolute garbage especially because you've been making lots of references about Varan as of late.
Aaah, Hanuman, the perfect children's folkhero, either dancing around like he's being attacked by bees, or viciously annihilating evil with extreme bodily destruction and mortal wounding!
@@drdreddmanofmystery9482 Looking at this movie I would like to take a look at that script. I'm sure it'd be very entertaining. Probably more so than the movie.
In-universe the transformations are usually happening instantaneously or the hero is protected by an energy shield or something similar. The only instance I can recall where the villain actually did interrupt the transformation was Infermon stopping MetalGreymon and MegaKabuterimon's digivolution in "Our War Game!".
Very important note about this genre of superheroes: in style, it's much closer to professional wrestling or theater than a realistic fight. Looking cool and being dramatic is more important than being efficient. Though to your point, when the Kamen Rider shows of the 2000s started relying on gadgets and external bits to transform, you'd see transformations get interrupted by the villain snatching away their gizmo first. So, they've thought about that.
I can't believe I'm saying this but supposedly this takes place in the same universe as "Hanuman vs the 7 Ultraman" and is meant to be a sequel to that movie. The scientist guy is the same person who survived the destruction of the missile base. The three robbers are also the same (talk about recycling actors?) and is sent to hell here to be punished for what they did to the boy in that movie before one of them managed to escape with the help of King Dark. The theme song is the original instrumental theme from "Kamen Rider X" just with Thai singing. P.S. That hell sequence used to scare me shitless as a kid and I'm Thai lol
Well one good thing about this is that it wasnt made in the 80s and stronger through Black RX were spared this travesty....And that Sampote Sans left Super Sentai Alone....Or Maybe Goranger wasn't popular yet
I’m convinced that the guy who was in charge of explosion either could have given less of a shit or was just some ex-Thai army guy that had seen some real shit and had a ptsd flash back and thought all the actors were enemy soldiers.
Would also like to see Hanuman vs. Metal Hero (will be a combination of Gavan, Spielban, Jiban, Blue SWAT, and B-Fighter plus a cameo of Kabutack), Hanuman vs. Gridman, Hanuman vs. Gransazers, and Hanuman vs. Garo. As for Super Sentai, I think they will include Gorenger, JAKQ, Dynaman, Flashman, Turboranger, Jetman, and maybe Zyuranger (due to being adapted into the first Power Rangers). And they will include Hell again as well as weird comic relief characters.

This looks like a weirder version of infra man, that movie was already weird enough, this also looks like a Bootleg version of zone fighter. But it would be interesting to see a co production between tsuburaya productions and toei with elements of Kamen rider and ultra man.
Funny you should say that.

Also nice V9 concept art you have there on your profile picture. I like it.
You should check out the Kamen rider series, the first one and Kuuga are free on Tubi, Ryuki and Zero One are coming later
Holy shit, thanks for reminding me of Masked Rider after around 20 years. I remembered this series by I never could remind myself it's title. Once again, thanks a lot. Also great video!
Go watch Black and Black Rx they are way better
I highly recommend watching the orignal Showa KR series from the early 70s, trust me, they're amazingly dark actually.
Yep especially Amazon
They are like Adam West Batman but with more explosions.
@@ssj4jason737 amazon Has literal gore in it LMAO
Kamen Rider Shin would be a perfect movie for Brandon to review
Yeah someone on Patreon request that film!
That's a metal movie
He should do Kamen Rider The First and The Next as well
There was a second American Kamen Rider adaptation in the 2000s-2010s using Kamen Rider Ryuki. Actually won an award.
And it's apparently more popular in Japan then Ryuki which doesn't surprise me since it's pretty good
@@ssj4jason737 Both versions are good in my opinion.
Oh yeah Kamen Rider Dragon Knight
Technically toho's special effects team was led by tsuboraya and he made tsubaraya which is connected to toei studios who made kamen rider, super sentai, metal hero, space sherrif and the one cyborg of teen titans suit was based of
Holy crap south Asian tokusatsu are hard core sometime.
I think that's Chaiyo Production is so brutal.
Ah, at first I thought this is about Ultraman. Because I remembered when I was little, there was a movie where a Thai "Ultraman" met with Ultramans to fight evil. One scene in the movie scared me as a kid because it was a scene where the bad guy shot a kid's head point blank. The kid was revived by Mother Ultraman and became that Thai Ultraman.
Edit: Ok, so I saw that you've reviewed that one ^^;
3:53 I like how they very obviously didn't close down the road to film this shot and are just riding through public traffic.
"At least they get their own theme song"
Do they? That sounds like they took the Mazinger Z ending theme and replaced the lyrics
To be fair a lot of 70s toku/anime soundtracks sounded alike
I thought it sounded like the ending of Grendizer
Actually it’s Kamen Rider X’s theme song.
Fantastic, amusing review once again!
Now you need The Noble War to conclude Chaiyo's Hanuman movie series. In contrast to the previous movies, The Noble War is pure mythology-based.
No crossover with Japanese characters at this time.
There was also a Chaiyo movie called The Magic Lizard, starring a giant talking frilled lizard. It was REALLY weird.
@@nicholaslienandjaja1815 I read your comment as "a giant talking FRIED lizard" and somehow it still made some sense in my mind XD
I watched The Noble War, I found the film to be too slow, it didn't get anywhere at all, I removed it off my like list and history list, real sorry everyone. 😢😢😢😫😫😫
"At this point I'll even taken something like 'Mortal Kombat: Annihilation'"
WOAH WOAH WOAH hold on there, Brandon, that's crazy talk!
Yeah mk annihilation has more dignity than this
Glad to see you getting good sponsors man! Thanks for the great vids
Hibiki was about Oni Musician that fight monsters with their Instrument.

I loved these shows/ movies growing up. They definitely have a certain amount of charm.
Awwww yeah. After multiple times fighting with Toho's RUclips team, Brandon gives Toei a rider kick to the copyright department!

Toei once flagged an official Toei video!
I am not joking.

Love your reviews!
It looks like Sompote Sands saved money by getting his third grade nephew to choreograph the fight scenes.
I know this isn't a movie, but anyone remember the old cartoon Tranzor Z? This one has tons of material to work with.
One of the main evil characters is literally one half man an one half female split down the middle and the underlings refer to them as "Yes Sir,Ma'am."
The main good guy's robot is piloted by this tiny little hovercraft type vehicle that lands at the very top of its head and is encased in nothing but glass.
It was a heavily edited and unfinished dub of the mecha anime Mazinger Z.
Check out the original subbed version.

I can't help but worry they may have got that fight footage by guerrilla filming in an actual artillery range.
You should do a review of Varan specifically the Japanese original version since the American cut is absolute garbage especially because you've been making lots of references about Varan as of late.
9:20 foot tickle and piss play? That some Deviantart kink shit
Aaah, Hanuman, the perfect children's folkhero, either dancing around like he's being attacked by bees, or viciously annihilating evil with extreme bodily destruction and mortal wounding!
That "blood drive" is the Thai punishment for criticizing their king. True story.
Hell yes.... 🤣
Nice that this come around my birthday. Perfect birthday present really.
I've waited a long time for this review to come.
I've been a fan of this channel for several years now, and I think this was hardest I've laughed in an episode 😆
These long transformation scenes, why doesn't the villains just start blasting them before they have a chance to complete their transformation?
Because that's not in the script.
@@drdreddmanofmystery9482 Looking at this movie I would like to take a look at that script. I'm sure it'd be very entertaining. Probably more so than the movie.
Rebecca hawkings: b'cuz that would rude.
I was watching Kamen Rider in Japan as a kid in the sixties. Good stuff.
Impressive, since Rider didn't start until 1971...
Making your own captions is pure genius.
So the stock footage is a flashback?
Hello from Thailand! Thanks again for the laughs Brandon.
Well one good thing about this is that it wasnt made in the 80s and stronger through Black RX were spared this travesty....And that Sampote Sans left Super Sentai Alone....Or Maybe Goranger wasn't popular yet
The film didn’t feature Amazon either.
I’m convinced that the guy who was in charge of explosion either could have given less of a shit or was just some ex-Thai army guy that had seen some real shit and had a ptsd flash back and thought all the actors were enemy soldiers.
I’m surprised Brandon didn’t mention the explosions , since he was concerned about the proximity of the kanji suit actors to fire and pyrotechnics
Whoops. He did mention the explosions💥 when the rider dropped his bike.
You need to cover the El Santo movies. You haven't lived til you have seen Franquéstein driving late 60s Detroit iron.
Seconded! That or Ship of Monsters!
God I love the thumbnail for this video it's one of the best and funniest
It's not their own theme song because it is a Thai dubbed version of the kamen rider x theme.
Man, now I wonder how the heck a Hanuman movie featuring Super Sentai would have look like...
I bet everyone doing a silver shower on the pink ranger
