Fabulous video Alex. Did Tryfan when I was 60, but now in my 70s I think I will leave it to you young’uns! Coming to Snowdonia soon though to do some hiking and photography, so will admire Tryfan from afar and look back on a great experience. We did it in the snow, but we had a guide from Plas Y Brenin, so were in good hands.
Thank you Peter! That’s awesome that you’ve done it in the snow, I can imagine that was an amazing day out! Hope you have a great trip to Snowdonia, one of my favourite places to take photos with its dramatic scenery, Tryfan always makes for a good photo. Thank you Peter 😁👍
Another banger mate - looks like you had almost identical conditions to those we had a year ago! Love the shoutout too - although clearly not a legend like Lucy! Nice switch up on genre of music too - works well with the GoPro.
Thank you so much bro! That trip we did is easily one of my favourite days out in the mountains, what a day!! 😂😂 mate you know you’re in the legend bracket, she got the extra shout for keeping us safe that day 😂 Hope you’re having a blast in the Colorado mountains mate! Big love ❤️
You find you end up going up slightly different ways each time. You will have to find The Cannon en route next time 👍 Brilliant fun to be had on the North ridge. Nice video
Loved the video! I thought maybe there was some footage of the canon rock formation thing around 10:09, but maybe that wasn’t it. Anyways, gorgeous hike and views, thanks for sharing! 🤩
18:10 this is exactly the same as me. When I first did Tryfan I saw the stone, but the second time I did it I didn't see it at all. I unintentionally took such a different route the second time round
Tryfan is a fantastic mountain. The North face is great. I did a wild camp the other month next to the tarn at the bottom of Bristly Ridge, Llyn Bochlwyd I think it is. Great spot for a camp 👍🏼. Great video mate.
Absolutely epic scramble up the North face, lovely challenge that! Beautiful scenery, very well captured on film as usual Alex. What a fab place it is. You should definitely get a head or chest cam Mount sorted, that would be great. Can’t wait to get some serious scrambling done later this year. It looks like I will return to the Peaks but also having a week in the Yorkshire Dales too.
Cheers Greg!! It really is an awesome scramble. Will definitely be purchasing something to get some better shots when scrambling, also been looking at the 360 cameras but can’t justify the price at the minute!! 😅. Sounds great!! The Dales are beautiful, somewhere I need to explore a little more. Thanks Greg 👍😁
Earned a like just from yout first pronounciation of Tryfan! Most people don't even try to harden to 'f' at all, but that was pretty good. As an educational point, you can pretty much substitute it for a 'v' - 'ff' if our soft version
Fantastic video Alex! Wales is certainly a different beast! I'm doing the Spine Race next January, have you thought about entering? Keep up the great work as always. Legend! :)
🏔🚗🌞🏃♂📸😍👀🤩🙌🏼💪🏼👍🏼👌🏼👏🏼🔝🌅🌄🌿🌲🐑🐾🎥🤳👀👨💻🔗🏴🌟 Thank you for taking us on this epic adventure in Snowdonia National Park! Your enthusiasm for the stunning scenery and the challenging scramble up Trifan is infectious and inspiring. Can't wait for more Wales adventures in the future! 🙌🏼🏴
Incredible video, man. Went up today for my first time and sadly had to turn back at the point where you're basically rock climbing near the summit. Every single surface was like ice with all of the rain and not worth risking it. The route you took is the route I had planned in my AllTrails and the way down after you summit is so much easier than going back down the way you came up! Was a battle to get back down. Always frustrating to not make it up but much more confident to do it again on a dry day.
Hi Bud i was over Climbing Snowdon on the 26th of July after Travelling From lreland,,i was Supposed to Climb Grib Goch aswell but it was Covered in Fog..So im Returning To Wales To Climb Tryfan on the 28th of October,,,ive Climbed 25 Mountains in my Country But My Question For Tryfan is how many hour's up and Down and how's the Weather Conditions in October in Wales...im getting the Ferry on Friday the 27th of October,,Climbing Tryfan on the 28th and Returning to Holyhead Saturday night For the 9pm Ferry.....any information you can give me will be appreciated 👍
I climbed up yesterday with my son. It was our 1st time in Snowdonia. Intention was to do the Horseshoe. Took us about 3 hours to reach the top and just over 2 to get back via the south summit descent. We are not the speediest though
@@greggargiulo5250 my plans now is to Climb Tryfan on the 11th of November...Congratulations to you both on the Climb,,,,i will Take on the North Ridge and down the South Ridge and back to the Car park...Them kind of hour's will be great For the Climb....Thanks so much for the Reply 👍👍
High, whay gps are you using, i fonr it last week, and i was up it easy, but i fidnt have a clue eicj way to go up or down. I got into a tight doot voming down, but im alive 😂
Great video! 👍🏽 Not to be pedantic but as a matter of info, it’s actually pronounced “thri-van” not “trifan”. Welsh is distinctly different from English
If you use the car park on the a5 do you have to come down the way you went up or is there an easier route to take down training in the gym and doing some small things but getting ready to do this for the first time with my brother we both never done before so little anxious and ovbs wanna stick to the grade one part for most if not all of it so fingers crossed! 🤞
Thanks for taking the time to explain the hazards and inform on Mountain leaders. Too many videos avoid the important stuff. Great vid fella.

Really helpful thanks Alex! Those views 💚

Sure is lovely when you drive through that valley and you see tryfan in the distance with snow on it, like something out of lord of the rings lol

Certainly an epic scramble, Alex. It's too much for me, but it's great to see you accomplish it. It's always great to see a vlog drop from you.
Thank you Chris!! Can’t beat Snowdonia on a clear sunny day!
Did tryfan today, didn’t go on a trail just went straight up the north side was epic in the snow
Awesome! Glad you had a great day out 👍

Gr8 video Alex. Me and my son are going to do this route on Sunday!
All a bit too much for me now, but thoroughly enjoying reliving my youth. Thank you !!
Glad you enjoyed it! Cheers 😁👍
Hopefully doing Tryfan for the first time this year!! might be doing the exact same route keep up the awesome work bro
Thanks Great video !!!

Cheers Max!! Sounds awesome you’ve signed up for the Spine, it’s on the list of races to do, not for a little while though 😅. Thanks Max!! 👍😁
My favourite mountain ever ❤
Northwales is beautiful. We’re so lucky to live in an English town which is an hours drive away!

Thank you so much! Appreciate the kind words. More Wales content on the way 😁👍
Lovely video. I was expecting you jump from Adam to Eve at the top though. I’m looking forward to taking 11 and 14 year old daughters in half term.
Well done fella
And thank you for the shoutout 🙌🏻
Hoping to do this this year
Fantastic! What next Alex Snowdon and Grib Goch? I dare you.
Cheers! Crib Gock is definitely in the list!!
Thank you for the video, definitely one I want to try out.
What program do you use to export you video content from your go pro.
Thank you! I use Final Cut Pro 👍

Great video, how long did it take up and down?
How does compare to Helvellyn / Crib Goch etc?

where would you recommend for easier scrambles?
Cnicht has a good starter scramble at the top also grade 1 but nowhere near that level of exposure.
F in Welsh is pronounced as V - so it is pronounced Trivan, not Trifan - I am not Welsh, just been corrected by locals :)
Great video! 👍🏽

I was with you until you said triffan. 😢
Why does everyone put SH*T music over their videos??? Couldn't watch it!!
Thank you for the constructive feedback
Well done bro 💯💪👍

Unreal video mate! Do you have a map of the route? Also messaged you on instagram :) thanks
