Thank you, I have seen hundreds of videos before traveling. This has to be the most informative videos I've ever seen. It was very detailed, straight to the point, and fun at the same time. I will be booking today for my trip next week. Great vid!
Quintin Johnson Thank you! I appreciate the kind words. You’ll have a blast at Xplor. I’m hoping to go back next year so I can try Xplor Fuego at night 😃
Saw your video and booked both Xplor and Xcaret directly from the website along with photo pass for both parks, way cheaper than what my vacation booking agent had quoted me for. The agent only offered entry tickets without a photo pass. Better buy online. Thank you for this information.
I’m happy I could help 😁 Usually travel agents just sell basic tickets with none of the discounts that I mentioned, so I’m glad you saved yourself some money. Xcaret and Xplor is a great combo, you’ll have a great time!
@@TulumToCancun Thank you. Just a question if you don't mind answering, how do you get around the park? on foot or the Amphibian vehicle is for all day long use? I have no idea about the park size. Thank you!
@@rpyqr You get around Xplor on foot, the ATV/amphibious vehicles are one of the activities, not for transportation. The park isn't too big so it's really easy to walk around.
Was there in Feb 2017-amazing experience.Worth every penny you pay. All caves, stalactites, rain-clean water are real. Sunscreen: will be taken from you at the entrance if it doesn't say "biodegradable" (else how you preserve all this beauty?). Haven't seen HAMMOCK SPLASH ride back then, so if you go -go on it. Lots of zip lines plus one slide and one line ends in a water. Wear swimsuit and water shoes-everything else must stay in a locker. Your helmet has a tracking chip-if you pay for photo package, chip will track places you visit and take pictures in each of them. Buffet is fantastic-i would go back just to eat there. Highly Recommend.
Interesting, I went there in April 2017, so unless they just added it, I think you might've missed Hammock Splash during your visit, but they're always adding and improving their parks, so maybe it was new when I went. But I agree with everything you said, they've thought of EVERYTHING, it's such a great experience, and the food was surprisingly good for an excursion. We loved it so much we went back this year and did Xplor Fuego, working on that video now!
During the cave swim, I highly recommend you use water shoes, if you drag your feet too close to the rocks, they’ll scrap you, and the rocks are pretty sharp. I got a pretty nasty deep cut and it kind of ruined the rest of the park for me.
I'm sorry to hear that but I agree with you. That's why I recommended watershoes in the video, in fact I recommend using water shoes throughout the entire visit for all the activities.
I know what you mean, when we went back this year, we did Xplor Fuego at night, which was really fun. Definitely the best memory from both of our trips.
I just got back from this place yesterday , May 27 i love it , iam going back . And XCARET its a beauty too.😍😃its ur an adventures person go do it .U will love it.

Berenice Pacheco They’re all great, so it depends on what you’re looking for. Xplor is good for action and adventure. Xel-Ha is filled with natural beauty and water activities and is very relaxing. Xcaret Park is HUGE and features a little bit of everything, great for families- water activity, relaxing, shows, exhibits. I hope that helps you decide.
I been there. Damn you really feel disconnected from USA being there and its such a relaxing mellow fun vibe. Especially with the drinks they sell. I wanna b there again so bad.
Couldn't agree more. I still remember during my first visit, I completely forgot about everything else and just ran around all day doing the various activities. When I got back to my hotel at night I was exhausted. Can't wait to go back.

Thank you. I plan on taking my 15-year-old twins in August. This was very helpful. I want my twins to have fun. The only thing is I'm a little claustrophobic and am afraid of going under the caves. Hopefully, I'll be okay or maybe they will allow me to just let my twins go without me.
The caves where you walk around were pretty spacious, well lit, and there are lot of other visitors walking around so I hope that helps you figure out if it’s right for you or not. You may want to think twice about swimming and rafting through the caves though.
I'm confused on their guidance for the zip lines. They say the minimum weight is 88lbs, but I'm unclear if that applies to kids as well. My 9 year old easily meets the height requirement, but is a long ways from 88 lbs.
Great video! I'm visiting Xplor for my birthday in about 2 weeks. I'm thinking about bring my GoPro. How did your camera attach to your helmet? Do they have helmets with attachments?
Bring your own helmet mount or sticky mount. When you’re getting a helmet, you can ask the person if they have a helmet with the mount already on it. If they do, you can reuse that, otherwise you’ll need to use your own.
Corey Champion Thanks! I used the curved sticky mount and stuck the GoPro to the top of my helmet. When you’re getting your helmet, you can ask them if they have a helmet with a GoPro Mount. If they don’t, then you can just use your own mount.
Anyone know if the amphibious vehicles are free activity with ticket entry or is this an extra cost add on activity? I’ll be staying at the xcaret resort and all park tickets/ shuttle transportation will be included but I can’t see what extra activity fees there will be. I paid extra for the Snuba activity when I visited Xcaret
Thanks! The park is very kid friendly, but according to the site, they recommend 5 years or older. And it says the zip line requires min height of 3.6ft, min weight of 88lbs. So if they're bigger than that, I think they might be permitted. Be safe and do a little more research, to make sure the little ones are safe :)
It’s definitely family friendly but you’ll need to check the height and weight requirements to see if younger children will be able to participate in those activities. The Xplor website lists this in the activity pages.
I used the adhesive mount to attach mine, and I've seen other people use a helmet/head strap. When you're getting your helmet, ask them if they have one with a gopro attachment. Sometimes they may already have one that you can use.
Yes I heard! Not only are all the Xcaret excursions included, the hotel itself looks awesome. Are you planning to go? We'd like to check it out in the future.

Loved the video! I will def check this out when I'm in cancun in oct, 1 question for you. What hotel did you stay at? I'm trying to get a hotel that's near most activities what do you recommend?
Thanks! Last year we stayed at Bahia Principe, and this year we were at Secrets Maroma. If you really want to be close to Xplor or Xcaret, you could check out Occidental at Xcaret, it's literally next door to these two parks. Otherwise, if you stay in Playa Del Carmen, you'll be nearby as well. But if you're staying at any of the resorts in the Riviera Maya/Cancun area, they'll pick you up & drop you off if you buy the transportation package. Check the site to see if the hotel you're staying at is listed as a pick-up point.
sina92 sweet! Thank you for your reply ! Me and my gf decided to just book a hotel in xcaret and just get the parks for free included ! btw did you go outside of the resort ? We are only 21 years old and this has pretty much been the only place we have traveled out of our country. We both are Hispanic so getting around and talking Spanish is no problem, but my concern is if it's dangerous ? I've heard many envious stories so this is why I'm asking here before I decide to go out of the resort.
Ludwig Lemus Cool, Hotel Xcaret looks really nice. And yes it’s safe, we’ve been off resort. Just exercise regular precautions as you would when traveling anywhere else in the world and you’ll be fine. It’s a big tourist area with a large police presence. We’ve never had any problems.
Can 2 person get on same raft. If for 1 person only. What if u get stuck. Will there be a guide near by to help u. How about the swimming. Is life vest provided?
You can choose from single or 2 person rafts. It’s not that easy to get stuck, but if you do, you’ll have to figure it out yourself. For swimming, life vests are included.
I've seen many families with young kids on my visits. Kids can take part in the activities as long as they meet the height and weight requirements. Check the Xplor website under "important information" for this info.
Hi I was wondering if we buy a transportation ticket on their website do we have to purchase it with each person's ticket? My boyfriend and I will be going but I wasn't sure if I need to purchase a transportation pass for both of us or just one of us. Also on their website they only have Xplor but they don't have Xplor fuego. I was wondering if I purchase just Xplor does that mean I can use it at night too?
The transportation cost is per person. It’ll automatically count it for each person that you’ve added in your booking. Xplor Fuego is considered a separate park, so you’ll need to book it separately on the Xplor Fuego site: bit.ly/2HayCc2
Yes this is all in one day. It’s actually quite manageable, just follow some of the tips I mentioned in the video and you’ll be able to do everything in the park in one day.
Thank you for the great informative video, I am going soon with my two kids 6 and 8 do you think it’s kids friendly, if yes can we fit family of four on that small car for a ride?! Please let me know
Thanks! Yes Xplor is very kid friendly, lots of families there when we visited. I believe the minimum age is 5, so your kids will be fine. The amphibious cars seat 2 adults & 2 children, so you'll all fit.
Yanis Check the link I put in the description for prices. They differ depending on age or early booking. I’m not sure about buying on site, but when you’re in or around your hotel, you’ll see lots of places selling tickets. Online is the cheapest place I’ve seen tickets be sold.
Is this Park near Cancun or Play Del Carman. Also can you recommend a good pair of water shoes ? And , how long would it take to complete the entire park with all the stuff that can be done ?
It’s closer to Playa Del Carmen. I have a cheap pair of water shoes that I got from Wal Mart, so any decent pair will do. It takes about 7-8 hours to do every activity without rushing.
No you don’t have to go on the zip lines if you don’t want to. You can just select the activities that interest you. The hammock splash isn’t as high as the zip lines.
erica johnson Yes, the price is for access to the park which includes everything that I showed you. The only extra costs are the photo package and transportation to & from your hotel.
Abraham Botello I think it’s about $90, but I can’t remember. There are different packages based on the number of people in your group. Since you’re staying at Hotel Xcaret, I suggest asking the hotel. Maybe you’ll get a discount?
I used the adhesive mount to attach my GoPro, I've also seen other people use a helmet/head strap on the helmet. When you're getting your helmet, ask them if they have one with a GoPro attachment. Sometimes they may already have one that you can use.
It's about 6-7 feet deep on average. The water is calm and they give you life jackets, so as long as you're comfortable and confident in the water, not knowing how to swim shouldn't be a big issue 🙂
It depends on what you're looking for, because both are great parks. Xcaret is all about the shows & exhibits. Xel-Ha is all about doing the water activities. I preferred Xel-Ha overall.
Nope. Just ask the helmet desk when you arrive if they have a helmet with the mount ready to use. If not, just bring your own mount and use it. That's what I did.
@@TulumToCancun Thank you so much for your reply. It was an excellent video. I got a lot out of this video. I can't wait! My twins are going to have a blast! Do you have to have a driver's license or can the 15-year-old drive the Jeep. How many people can fit in the jeep? It will just be my twins and me.
@@nicoleyap6070 the ATVs fit up to 4 people. If you look old enough, they usually won’t ask for ID, so if you’re driving, you’ll all be fine. I don’t know if they’d let the kids drive though, unless let have a driver’s license.
I used the adhesive mount to attach mine, and I've seen other people use a helmet/head strap. When you're getting your helmet, ask them if they have one with a gopro attachment. Sometimes they may already have one that you can use., otherwise bring your own just in case.
There are two zip line circuits, you can choose to do just one if you wish. Once you’re in a circuit, you zip line from tower to tower. The staff can help get you down if you’re uncomfortable or unable to continue to the next tower, but I don’t think you can “skip” towers.
You can check the minimum height for each activity on the Xplor website. Most require a height of at least 1 meter. I also have a toddler and I wouldn't take him to Xplor yet, I'd recommend Xel-Ha or Xcaret instead.
I bought a $10 pair from Wal-Mart and they served me well, but I only use them while I'm on vacation so any cheap pair will work in my opinion. If you want to spend a little more on a nicer pair, wait until you arrive at the park, because they have some pretty nice shoes for around $30-40 I think.
There’s just one along the zip line circuit. They have a tube slide coming soon, but there’s no release date. If you want waterslides you should check out Xel-Ha.
I did xplor it was great not worth $100 though I've done stuff for $40/50 that was the same or better only five exhibitions and the river was is all work they tire you out more than they are fun
@@TulumToCancun just wanted needed to ask do you think it's better to just stay at bahia principe and just do all the activities at xplore versus staying at xcaret because the price difference is huge so im thinking about staying at bahia principe and just going to xplore and xcaret to visit what you think ?
@@mr_yaakemmr_yaakem296 I’ve done exactly the same thing in the past. Hotel Xcaret is very nice, but considerably more expensive than typical resorts like Bahia Principe, so yes if budget is a concern, definitely do what you’re planning to do.
@@TulumToCancun thank you for replying and giving your feedback because im having a hard time trying to decide on which route to go. Given that I'm a pretty seasoned traveler I always try to go with the cheaper hotel and room because most of the time I've traveled I spent next to no time in the room besides a few hours of sleep so I gave up the fancy hotel/ room route along time ago I rather have more spending money on activities, entertainment also food and drinks I find it just a waste to spend over $500 a night on a room your just sleeping in a few hours unless your going to a vacation where you are going to spend a nice amount of time at your hotel and your trip consist of you being at the hotel for a good amount of time then that's a different story. Budget is not a concern im just the type that wants to get my money's worth so I guess my question to you is xcaret worth spending around $3000 more versus just staying at a spot like bahia principe or occidental at xcaret because I've priced all three and both bahia principe and occidental are around $4000 that's including all of the excursions that xcaret offers now for that same trip at xcaret im looking at $7000 for the same days and same excursions so again my question is it really worth paying $3000 extra in your honest opinion? So in advance for the long message just need this info from another experienced travel who's done it both ways ?
@@mr_yaakemmr_yaakem296 Hotel Xcaret is definitely worth the money, but like you said, it’s more expensive. If you want to visit all the parks and you want a nicer hotel, it’s worth it. But based on what you’re describing, it sounds like you’ll be happier saving that money by staying at a regular hotel/resort and spending those savings on the actual parks you want to attend.
Not too sure, I don't remember seeing anything about height or weight restrictions. There were people of all shapes and sizes visiting, and everyone was having a great time :)
While I enjoyed the actual footage? I did not enjoy the narrative? This guy ends every sentence like he’s asking a question? Why do people talk like that? I had to shut the sound off? Where in the US do you come from to pick up this way of talking? How did we go from making statements to making statements with a question? Notice the question marks at the end of every sentence? I’m completely mocking the narrative?

Where did you come from to become so negative and critical of others? If you don’t like the way he speaks, why did you continue watching the video? Shut upppppp lol
I’ve been to Xplor a few times, always between January and April. The water isn’t that cold, it felt similar to pool water, cool at first but you get used to it quickly. I had a hero 5 for this visit, but I’ve returned since with a larger camera and it fit fine. Just bring your own mounts.
Thank you. Very informative .
Thanks, hope you enjoy your visit!
For swimming, life vests are included.
sorry idk if I missed it but how long does this park last ?
we're planning to go here but do you think my 8yr.old son will be okay? with some explor videos here in youtube, I didn't see a kid..m🥴
I've seen many families with young kids on my visits. Kids can take part in the activities as long as they meet the height and weight requirements. Check the Xplor website under "important information" for this info.
@Tulum To Cancun thank you! nice video looks really fun🥰
Hi there, did you do all this in one day?
Yes this is all in one day. It’s actually quite manageable, just follow some of the tips I mentioned in the video and you’ll be able to do everything in the park in one day.
@@TulumToCancun thank you very much, we're thinking of doing the night one 👍🏻
Thank you for the great informative video, I am going soon with my two kids 6 and 8 do you think it’s kids friendly, if yes can we fit family of four on that small car for a ride?! Please let me know
Thanks! Yes Xplor is very kid friendly, lots of families there when we visited. I believe the minimum age is 5, so your kids will be fine. The amphibious cars seat 2 adults & 2 children, so you'll all fit.
Is the water for the activites fresh or salt?......really hoping to find some freshwater excursions :)
It’s all fresh water.
I plan to go next year.will this activity be a full day?
Yea, doing the whole park is a whole day activity. Definitely worth staying the whole day to see and do everything!
Did u book the transport online as well or when u arrived in Cancun? Which is cheaper?
kerii Online at the same time when I bought my tickets. It’s always cheaper to book online
Which package did u choose? Also how much is the photo package?
Xplor just has one ticket so there's no need to worry about which package to buy. The photo package is US$58.99.
Whst month and is the best to go?
How much does a ticket cost?
For how long does the trip ? is it possible to buy our tickets on site? Tks
@@TulumToCancun wonderful , thanks
@@TulumToCancun thank you
Is the water deep at the bottom of that slide? Worried about being unable to swim. Thanks
Struan Taylor No, it’s shallow, you can get up and walk. I’ve been here with people who don’t know how to swim and they were fine.
I do t like heights, do you have to zip line? Is the hammock swing high?
No you don’t have to go on the zip lines if you don’t want to. You can just select the activities that interest you. The hammock splash isn’t as high as the zip lines.
Does this excursion price include all of these activities?
erica johnson Yes, the price is for access to the park which includes everything that I showed you. The only extra costs are the photo package and transportation to & from your hotel.
How much
Hi.
I’m going in May and staying at Hotel Xcaret, I have a question, how much is the photo package?
Abraham Botello I think it’s about $90, but I can’t remember. There are different packages based on the number of people in your group. Since you’re staying at Hotel Xcaret, I suggest asking the hotel. Maybe you’ll get a discount?
Hi just a quick one we are going here in July and was just wondering how you mounted your go pro
I used the adhesive mount to attach my GoPro, I've also seen other people use a helmet/head strap on the helmet. When you're getting your helmet, ask them if they have one with a GoPro attachment. Sometimes they may already have one that you can use.
thank you
How far from xcaret or xel ha?
Jaime Garon Xplor is right next to Xcaret. Xel-Ha is a little further south, closer to Tulum.
How deep is the water? I really want to do the cave tubing but I cant swim.
It's about 6-7 feet deep on average. The water is calm and they give you life jackets, so as long as you're comfortable and confident in the water, not knowing how to swim shouldn't be a big issue 🙂
Did you use your own camera to record this?
Yea I used my GoPro with a sticky mount on my helmet.
is this spot far from Xcaret? we will be going soon and would love to take my son!
Xplor is right next to Xcaret park & Hotel Xcaret. You and your son are going to have a great time!
What park would u recommend more Xel-Ha or Xcaret?
It depends on what you're looking for, because both are great parks. Xcaret is all about the shows & exhibits. Xel-Ha is all about doing the water activities. I preferred Xel-Ha overall.
did you have to pay any extra to take your go pro?
Nope. Just ask the helmet desk when you arrive if they have a helmet with the mount ready to use. If not, just bring your own mount and use it. That's what I did.
Does the price include the jeeps? or is that extra?
Yes, tickets include all the activities.
Is food including?
Yes, food and drinks are included.
What attachment did you use for your gopro?
I used the adhesive mount to attach mine, and I've seen other people use a helmet/head strap. When you're getting your helmet, ask them if they have one with a gopro attachment. Sometimes they may already have one that you can use., otherwise bring your own just in case.
Do you have to do all of the zip lines?
There are two zip line circuits, you can choose to do just one if you wish. Once you’re in a circuit, you zip line from tower to tower. The staff can help get you down if you’re uncomfortable or unable to continue to the next tower, but I don’t think you can “skip” towers.
Is it additional to do all of these activities?
Anji Lopez Your Xplor ticket includes all these activities. None of the activities in Xplor cost extra.
Can I take a toddler?
You can check the minimum height for each activity on the Xplor website. Most require a height of at least 1 meter. I also have a toddler and I wouldn't take him to Xplor yet, I'd recommend Xel-Ha or Xcaret instead.
What resort did ya stay at
For this trip in particular, we stayed at the Bahia Principe.
Is a lot of hiking involved to get to the zip lines ?
I wouldn’t call it hiking, but yes. There are stairs to climb and walkways to walk on to go up from one tower to the next.
Say u didn’t want to get on the zip lines, could u skip it or they’re not gonna allow it
@@amiyalandis27 yes I’m here today, we skipped the zip lines but did everything else and still had a blast :)
where did you get your water shoes? thank you!
do they also provide the shoes there? what do you recommend? thank you!
Got mine from walmart before the trip, they also sell them at the park. I definitely recommend you buy a pair, don’t skip the water shoes.
Which water shoes do you recommend
I bought a $10 pair from Wal-Mart and they served me well, but I only use them while I'm on vacation so any cheap pair will work in my opinion. If you want to spend a little more on a nicer pair, wait until you arrive at the park, because they have some pretty nice shoes for around $30-40 I think.
@@TulumToCancun thank you for the reply. I appreciate it. Walmart it is lol 😂
X plor isn't for 6 years kids
Did you need a valid driver's license to operate the amphibious vehicles?
Beautiful Sunshine Nope, I think there’s just an age requirement if you want to drive. Otherwise anyone can do it.
sina92 thanks
No license is required
The croc is real? 4:20
Haha no, it's just a prop.
Are there water slides
There’s just one along the zip line circuit. They have a tube slide coming soon, but there’s no release date. If you want waterslides you should check out Xel-Ha.
I did xplor it was great not worth $100 though I've done stuff for $40/50 that was the same or better only five exhibitions and the river was is all work they tire you out more than they are fun
But thank you for the replies big help!!
@@georgetorres1944 which other parks or tours do you recommend?
No alcohol
What resort did you stay in?
Celine Agecoutay We stayed at the Bahia Principe when we went.
What’s the weight limit
Not too sure, I don't remember seeing anything about height or weight restrictions. There were people of all shapes and sizes visiting, and everyone was having a great time :)
Weight requirements is 88lb to 300lbs I read somehwere
Do you have a code that works for a February visit? That one provided is expired by then.
does transportation have a/c?
Yup, it was nice and cool.
Maybe I don’t come from the US and English isn’t my first language? Did you ever think of that? Or are you just close-minded and entitled? If you don’t like it, move on to another video with music dubbed over it and no info given.
Anyway, thanks for watching.
Where did you come from to become so negative and critical of others? If you don’t like the way he speaks, why did you continue watching the video? Shut upppppp lol
I want to do this but I’m afraid of freezing cold cave water. What time of the year did you go and was the water cold?
I’ve been to Xplor a few times, always between January and April. The water isn’t that cold, it felt similar to pool water, cool at first but you get used to it quickly. I’ve even done Xplor Fuego at night and never felt cold. Maybe I was having too much fun to notice, either way, it was never a problem for anyone in our group.
Are all of these activities included in the admission price?
Robert Acosta Yes, Xplor is all inclusive so the activities and food are all included
