Thinking about getting a Q50 3.0T and inwas wondering if it was complicated to change the oil. I was initially thinking that it used another type of oil filter. This is VERY straightforward.

Honestly, it's not that expensive to have them do it. It cost me $140 at the dealership right now.
If I bought everything myself, filter & oil it would cost around $85.
So for $55 I don't have to worry about it and not get dirty? Yeah, Ima take that every time.
AND they wash your car for you, come on!

I just got my 2015 q50 and it is all black. Once i get my ramps, i will do my oil change. What size ratchet did you use to remove the lining underneath the car?

5w-30 if you want your VR to last longer
Why are u using 5w-30 and not the oem one ? I need an oil change done should I do 530 or oem?
5w-30 is fine if you’re in a warmer climate.. i dont know, I’ve always use 5w-30 .. if you have a souped up q50/60 the 5w-30 won’t burn through the oil as quickly. Either should be fine , but 0w-20 is in the manual. I think In winter I’ll use 0w-20 and try it out, see what difference it makes
I have a 2014, and the dealer told me to use 5w-30. I'm in TX, so it's probably better for our warmer climate.

Dude just use car ramps. Way easier and faster. If your slammed you can use 2x4s to get up to height and get up ramp.

@jordantcastro 🤣 I hear ya. Plastic ramps vs steel stands, no dount srands are guaranteed safe. I actually had to build ramps out of wood since car was slammed 2.5 inches. I trusted solid wood.
You only put 5 qt?
Vr30 takes closer to 6 (5.8) in 2018 infiniti revised it to 6 qt
Minimum 5.5 qt if you’re rwd

0w-20 for fuel efficiency yes 😂 5w-30hp is better

You are DEAD WRONG using 5w30 in the Vr30ddtt. The reason why 0w20 is required is because of extremely TIGHT TOLERANCES in the engine. This means that thicker oil like 5w30 wont reach the metal in time. If you’re modded then go max 0w30. If stock stick to 0w20
