      Tedward, rather than sticking microphones in the ear, I’d suggest mounting them to a girls hairband and wearing that beneath the cap... With a camera on the face, you might as well go full dress up. lol

    • @arteonyx
      @arteonyx 10 месяцев назад +1

      Unfortunately nnewer GoPros' now (10, 11, 12) can't do 1440p anymore, lowest resolution is 2.7k (for 4:3 ratio) which takes more space. However, the plus side is that the older generations (which still support 1440p on 4:3) are now cheaper and that 1440p can save you some space.✌

      Just take off the top strap, mount the camera upside down (which will angle it down), and bring the camera down low. Works just as well and keeps the camera very stable. Can even mount small amount of foam on the main part of the mount that sits against your forehead to angle more depending on how tall you are.

    Really good tips! Another good tip for people that don't want to wear a hat. Use the head strap with the center over the top strap removed, mount the GoPro upside down and angled down. Can easily get eye level view this way also and keep the camera very stable on your head.
    You can also use ND filters (Polar Pro makes great ones for GoPro) to maintain a 180 degree shutter speed during brighter days and get some nice motion blur in the passing scenery.

    I honestly want to thank you so much for sharing this vid. I recently started making POV videos of my own, and this setup just works seamlessly. It was especially not easy to find a perfect angle shooting in 16:9, but shooting in 4:3 and cutting out unnecessary parts easily resolved the issue.
    One question: I found your recent videos are in 4K 60fps, but since Go pro only allows you to take up to 30fps in 4K 4:3 ratio, can I ask how you are achieving such resolution and framerate?

    Thanks for sharing your secrets! I have found myself in the midst of a one in a billion opportunity and want to try and document some of it, if only for my own use. My oldest son is a musician (lead guitar for the Red Clay Strays) and one of their wonderful fans and benefactors is a fellow car enthusiast, specifically a Porsche enthusiast. He is in the process of sharing some very special cars with us (currently a 2019 GT3 Touring). I believe he is sending us a 993 turbo S next….. I just don’t want to rely on my memory alone. I didn’t believe it myself, until that GT3 drove up into our garage last month. I’m a believer now, there actually are some truly amazing people in this world, especially in the car world. People who appreciate our shared love of cars and driving.
    I’m torn between using a GoPro8 or an Insta360 to film these cars (GT3Touring; 993 Turbo s; 1974 Turbo; GT4RS; and a Singer).

    The GoPro is probably the best camera for this tipe of footage because of the small size, very good quality and stabilization(for a 400-500$ cam with this size), a lot of mounts, and you have choise where to put it for a diving, skiing, POV rides, Vlogs and everything. Yes, the DSLR is better for cinematic videos and night footage if you have a lightning, but the price is a lot more. For example, Sony A7 III is a great camera, but when you buy it and get 1 or 2 basic lens, light boxes and some other add ons, the price is 10 times more than 400-500$.

I just started this channel from my larger tech channel to branch out and I was trying to figure out how the hell they get the camera in the view without obstructing their vision. Thank you so much. I actually just bought a GoPro Hero 12 just to start this.
    I still have a question about the earbuds. You wear them while you drive? I'm trying to figure out how RUclipsrs like MilesPerHr do it. He apparently uses the same ones... but in his other angle when it isn't the POV, he isn't wearing the earbuds (or mics) in his ears. I'm assuming maybe a wireless mic? That's all I got right now from my other RUclips channel is a bunch of mics that's made for a sitting environment like the Rode NT-1. I also have a Rode Wireless Pro I guess I could use for now...

    Hi there, what settings would you recommend for using a Hero5 Session? I've recently changed my filming to 24fps and I'm yet to get my POVs to a level I'm 100% happy with. I have the shutter speed set to 1/96, ISO is set to its lowest, and of course, stabilisation is on. Sadly it's not as smooth as my previous method of filming at 60fps with everything set to auto. Granted, the newer GoPros have better stabilisation but using a standard size GoPro would be too much of a distraction when driving - I tried a Hero5 and I could always see it in my peripheral vision.
