- Professional Landscape Astrophotographer and RUclipsr @AlynWallace passed away late march. His impact on the art of astrophotography will be know for generations and his legacy will not be forget.
His untimely demise is leaving a gapping whole in the hearts of those in the astrophotography world.
I personally owe him a lot to my own personal growth with my own art.
Alyn Wallace rest in peace
A lovely tribute to Alyn Wallace in how he mentored you in astro photography. I will miss his ¨Whats in the sky¨ at the beginning of each month. RIP Alyn Wallace.
I miss it was well 😔
I think Becky still does it, but not that astrophotographically focused.
I think you should seriously think about taking on the baton for this. Im personally lost without it. After seeing your tribute to Alyn he has obviously inspired you throughout your journey, you are a perfect candidate to take on this role that Alyn made his.
We all will miss him. His absence is a loss to astro community. RIP Alyn Wallace.
I was thinking about him during the eclipse. He will be missed
RIP Alyn Wallace - he also got me into Astro photography helping me get my first stacked picture of Orion nebula with just my camera and 200mm lens in the back garden. May his videos live on and help others.
Great work, Justin! I enjoy your videos, & that is a great tribute to Alyn
Wallace.
This was absolutely beautiful tribute. So well said about his work and what you have done is amazing as well.
Thank you very much!
Very well said. I particularly liked your “the good kind of influencer” observation - exactly that. This space isn’t the same without him, but the impact he has had on so many lives is astonishing.
Thank you for such a lovely tribute. I will miss his voice narrating his beautiful images. I'm saddened by his loss and hope his family finds some solace in knowing he is truly missed by people whom he never met. RIP Wally.
Good job. Great tribute to alyn. I also learned a lot from him over the years. I almost did a workshop with him in his beloved brecon beacons only for covid hit.. RIP alyn
Such a lovely tribute to a wonderful soul in Alyn Wallace. Your journey is really encouraging to others on a similar path. Well done my friend.
Thank you! Keep up the great work your videos are helping so many people!
A wonderful tribute to Alyn. My wife and I were on a workshop cruise to Antarctica in 2022 with Alyn, Nigel Danson, James Popsys and Adam Gibbs. He was a delightful individual and extremely talented. Alyn will be missed by all in the astro community. Your photos are amazing.
Thank you!
I watched his video on that trip!
I’m so heartbroken 💔
Lovely tribute to an absolute legend. He will be missed. 💔 Great photography, by the way!
oh no, I can't believe it. This has made me very sad. RIP Alyn
Thank you for this . We all where in shock of his passing.
What a great tribute, i never met him in-person but with all he gave us I feel like I did.
That is a beautiful Tribute to Alyn. It's Because of Alyns Videos I have bought a cannon 6d his book his lightroom presets and waiting for my Samyang 24mm to come back then my Astrophotography will begin.he as truly inspired me to go into the Night Sky. Thank you Alyn thank you so much. now you can fly amongst the stars that you love so much. R.I.P you have touched the hearts of so many 😢😢
I'm so sad, I loved this guy and the wealth of knowledge he offered, I will miss him, farewell Alyn, I learned a lot from you, I can still hear the echo of your unique voice in my ears, writing with tears in my eyes. Thank you for this great tribute.
Alyn’s RUclips videos got me into photographing the milky-way in snowdonia. Alyn was such an inspiration to so many people & his work speaks for itself. He will be truly missed by everyone 😥
I am so shocked and saddened to hear this news. I can hardly believe it. Alyn's book was a revelation to me as a beginner in astrophotography. He was such a generous and skilled teacher, with so much still to give. He will always be a stand out star in the infinity of the night sky.
I am saddened to hear his passing. We lost a great astrophotography teacher.
i started learning about astrophotography watching alyn wallace's videos. I'll miss him :(
Me too man :(
for me Alyn was the most talent Astrophotograher.deep miss...
INCREDIBLE SHOTS😍 alyn wallace will be truly missed🙏
R.I.P thank you for all the beautiful work you did all those years 🙏
When this appeared in my YT feed, I thought it was a bad joke. I had to go and look up several other sources to confirm that it's true. I'm absolutely devastated. Alyn, and his photos, was truely inspiring. When I bought my first camera 4 years ago, I searched YT for videos on how to photograph the Milkyway and was instantly directed to Alyn and I've been watching his videos ever since. I learned a lot from his tutorials and loved his monthly WITNS episodes. As the video very rightly says, a real, true and positive influencer. RIP Alyn amongst the stars 🌟
I couldn't agree more. It's so sad
I didn’t expect my day to begin tearfully. He inspired us to be our best. What a devastating loss. RIP, Alyn.
I saw "A Tribute to Alyn Wallace" on my RUclips home page and thought. "How nice that a fan chose to make a tribute", sinbce he really merited it. I was so shocked to find it was a death tribute and also had to look it up . He was so enthusiastic and professional and will really ge missed.
Alyn inspired me to try star trails, and I've been hooked ever since. I've met some great people out in the dark, and there are 3 of us now who chase the aurora together. Alyn's passing is a huge loss, and he will be missed. Thank you for the nice tribute.
I will hear his tips, tricks and encouragement in my head every time I'm out nightscape shooting. Thank you, Alyn.,
Amazing video. Beautiful tribute.
Beautiful tribute
I miss him, especially the monthly “what’s in the sky this month episodes.” ❤
miss you Alyn
This was the best tribute Alyn could get. Thank you.
this is how much we love alyn. ❤️
Your journey is amazing, and this tribute is beautiful. I'm at the very beginning of my astrophotography journey. Alyn is one of the main people to get me hooked. I look forward to continuing to follow you now.
He would be proud of you. RIP Alyn.
🥹🥲
Alyn Wallace wrote the best book of astrophotography that covered all my high and lows also. But some filters that made my astro shots even greater as well with trackers. I loved following all his treks that will be missed but watched again as long as I can. I give thanks to the knowledge he continues to share as I give his book as gifts to many friends.
Agreed!
I've never messed with filter! Just one of the many things I need to try!
Which ones do you like?
Did Alyn teach you to completely obliterate the milkyway in post???..
No that just my style. I'm glad you hate it though. 👍
Same here. I also found Alyn's videos when I first started my astrophotography obsession a few years ago. He is greatly missed!
Such a touching tribute to show the beautiful art you’ve created from what you’ve learned from Alyn. RIP, Alyn.
Thank you! 🥹
I enjoyed his photography and videos. Sorry to hear of his passing.
Very heartfelt tribute. Thank you!

That sounds amazing thank you!
Very nice tribute Justin! He will be missed.
His video podcasts on astrophotography as well as his book I purchased last year are my bible to astrophotography. I thought of him while photographing and videoing the solar eclipse in Arkansas Monday April 8. His podcast on photographing the solar eclipse in Chile a few years ago was very helpful
A magical tribute to Alyn. Thank you for sharing. PS, I love the images you did of the folks that came out to photo shoot the night sky with you. Fantabulous!
fukc is he dead no way i was waiting for his next video for few months. im so shocked after hearing this what happened with him. so sad😢. thank you for your knowledgeable videos RIP😖😖
Incredible tribute. Alyn was truly inspiring!

Thank you,it is very nice from you and i am sure that Alyn feels our participation.
Sooo well done!!❤
Love West Quoddy Head! Miss Alyn...
I am also gonna make one video on how i was inspired by alyn wallace and my experiences under the night sky
Hello. I don't know that this is the best method of reaching out, I just don't know of another. You may want to look over a video titled "A Tribute to Alyn Wallace: Post Your Tributes Below In The Comments" by a channel called 'common science', which looks to have borrowed heavily from this video of yours.
i appreciate you comment this. ill report the video and you please do the same! it seems they downloaded and reuploaded my video together with some of alyns shots too. thanks for finding this!
I erroneously thought this would be a tribute to Alyn Wallace, it’s more of a tribute to the guy who put this video together
How so?
I am sorry for the loss of your mentor!!!
You are insanely talented!!! I hope to be able to be half the creative you are one day. I just picked up a used Z7 and a 24-200 4 to 6 and I’ll be working on it. Are you putting together classes on the entire workflow for your panoramas from shot to final touch in post? Keep it up and I just subscribed.
Allen was a great teacher and I definitely recommend watching every single video on his youtube channel.
I have a panorama workshop coming up in June where we will be learning editing and the workflow. If you'd like to attend, you can find the details on my website at jmnaturescapes.com
Very nice tribute. Well said.
Thank you!
A M A Z I N G. Alyn would be proud of his contribution to your amazing journey as a top photographer.
@@Artsmitica thank you for the kind words
This is so cool. He is the GOAT
Alyn inspired me for mobile astrophotography, Alyn is the one who really appreciated mobile astrophotography and its rapid development, may he rest in peace, greetings from Romania
It's crazy how far it's come on phones!
@@JMNaturescapes yes, that's true
RIP Alyn..........
Thank you ...
Beautiful tribute, I was lucky to find Allyn in RUclips when I started my astrophotography journey a few years ago, I would add that Alyn was more than influencer, he was (is) a teacher.
I love watching Alyn's RUclips channel. I was sorry to hear he had passed away.
I believe he did a fine job mentoring you.
A very fine tribute to him.
This was a really really lovely and respectful tribute.
Alyns videos also played a huge part in me getting into astrophotography, and I even used his review-video (and his discount code) for my first tracker purchase - also the MSM.
Stunning and inspirational images too. Well done.
Unbelievable... Thinking of you and praying for you from Japan.
Dang, he will be missed.
Thank you for sharing your journey and the inspiration Alyn had on you. This was a kind tribute. Congrats on finding astrophotography and may you go on to share the lessons learned to others so that Alyn's influence lives on long after we are all returned to star dust.
So sad he was a huge inspiration to me and helped push me to do better AP...Im shocked !
Blown Away by this story...thank you and so sorry for your poignant loss and lessons.
He will definitely get a place among the stars, the things he had a passion for his whole life!
Well done man 🙏🏼
Thank you!
Well done!!
Thank you
Thanks for that video
Nice.. also could have been a nice short video explaining but referring Alyn‘s work about how it inspired you.. I know Copyright etc. but it’s a bit horrible if you try piggyback. Your work is Great but please.
Don’t Tribute yourself..
sorry
I agree with your thoughts.
R.I.P alyn
I'm sorry you feel that way.
Sure, it could have been short and sweet. I believe that's alyns channel when ment to inspire and help people with their night photography.
My goal was to make a tribute video that expressed that he was able to do that.
@@JMNaturescapes fair enough. I just felt it was more about you and less about Alyn. If or when I do a eulogy then I am the less important..
But.. rest in peace alyn and you continue your amazing work..
The Heavens declare the glory of the LORD.
Alyn loved that declaration.
I was still waiting for April 2024 night sky update. How did he pass on? 😢😢 This is our loss😭😭
God Bless! 💔♥️
Cause of death?
I believe it was organ failure due to an infection. He had a pre-existing autoimmune disease
@@JMNaturescapes That sucks. Thanks.
@@miller-joel I know, very sad
Great video and tribute! Great work! New subscriber. Rest In Peace Alyn Wallace 😢
