  • In this video, we're taking our 2JZGTE powered S15 Silvia to the dyno for the first time to see what kind of power we're making. We'll be using the Mainline Pro Hub Dyno to get the most accurate and reliable readings of our engine's performance. We'll show you how to set up the dyno, how to run the tests, and what to look for in the results. We'll also be tuning the engine on the dyno to maximize power output and ensure that everything is running at its best. Whether you're a seasoned pro or just getting started with tuning your own car, this video will give you a great introduction to the world of dyno tuning and help you get the most out of your 2JZGTE powered S15 Silvia.

    Hey legends, sorry but the video was cut short for some reason.
    Car ended up making 683whp
    I’ll try and recover the last part of video

    Shops coming along nicely good to see the s15 finally on the mainline.
    Quick tip I've seen at a few shops if a car has an external wastegate put a plate of steel under it to save burning up the floors

    At 3:09 in your video. Are you able to put the car in 4th gear then accelerate, or do you have to start in 1st gear to build momentum and work your way up to 4th gear?

    • @Motorsporttuningsolutions1
      @Motorsporttuningsolutions1  Год назад +1

      You need to drive the vehicle just like on the street. You can’t normally start driving a car forth gear from the street but you probably could.
      Best on the driveline to just start in 1st or second and get the momentum.
      You can Dyno run in 1st or second or any gear if you like.

    What settings adjustment on compression and rebound (firm/soft) you end up using on the IDS rear coilovers?

    • @Motorsporttuningsolutions1
      @Motorsporttuningsolutions1  Год назад +1

      I’m not 💯 on my settings as it’s been awhile and so many changes but it’s in the range of 5 clicks from softest on the compression and 5 clicks from hardest on rebound. For the rears

      Hey mate, few years of road tuning and calibrating on many cars but this is the first time with a proper Hub Dyno.

    Did you install your Haltech dash yourself or get someone to do it? I've got one but am yet to wire in fuel level, indicators etc.

    • @Motorsporttuningsolutions1
      @Motorsporttuningsolutions1  Год назад +2

      Yep, installed it all my self mate. Fuel level, indicators, handbrake light. Also you can wire in sensors directly to dash if need be.

      I do want to upgrade the alternator at some point and put the twin pumps on staged

      Spool will surely be around the 5000rpm I would say. Does depend on the fuel you use and the tune. Also does the engine have intake cam control?
