😊man just a question please
As a new box truck company with MC and DOT number do they brokers/Apps give you loads right away or do they say oh your a new company we don’t give you loads same as semi truck loads
Does anybody think central California could be a good area for box trucking. I asked because on all the videos I see it is towarda the middle or east of the US. Anybody has any suggestion?
I wonder how much getting started costs? Ins and Dot and mc and ifta and hut tax costs
can you make over 3k if you put a driver in your truck? is 3k considered bad or ok after paying all expenses and paying a driver.
Looks like you're up there across from the Love's truck stop🤔
I've always like that make and model of the Freightliner,M2.... What is the year of your truck, and how many miles do you have on it????
2000 & 300k
@@qb6737 wishing you the best of luck with the longevity of your truck! I actually thought that the truck was in the 2002--2006 range..
I'm surprised that the mileage is relatively low at 300K miles.. 😉
intellegent young man
Does it matter what year model truck you get in order to get loads? I went to indeed but most of them require 2009 models and newer. I’d appreciate the response
You ever get an answer?
Thats right depending on the state and area your at, some required 2015 and newer
Others 2001 newer all depends what area your at.
In socal they need to be 2015 newer and have the emissions atf

Im looking to get into the box truck business. How much is your insurance and whats the most you made in a day? If you dont mind me asking.
About $1200 to $1500
What’s a good way to get hands-free loads? I’m older and can’t move a whole lot of heavy weight round anymore.
Load Boards
Dont be scared to get on the phone and call customers directly.. Especially if you're running locally, a local relationship can go a long way with these customers. You're also cutting out the broker... This is coming from being a broker for 7 years. Offer them quarterly bids also to win dedicated freight..
How do you price local loads or contracts
Wish u answered instead
What insurance company you with? Progressive quote me about 30k.
Good video. Work on your camera skills. It’s hard watching the sky and half truck.😂
I have a semi trucking company..but I want to buy a box truck for my son....how do you get loads...what load board do you use
DAT And Truckstop Are The Most Common
Oh ok I been using the day for almost 5years...I never have had the truck stop...I pay 180 a month I think it's the pro..but I see the loads faster... keeps me busy

I appreciate the advice on how to find a dedicated account but what I find interesting is you never said how much those loads pay. Folks, pls do not waste your time with Amazon. Amazon hires whomever is able to breathe air because very few people last beyond a few weeks. They are lowly paid, overworked and tend to feel its ok to take out their frustration on box truck owners. On top of that their loads dont pay squat.
Money I Make Won't Determine How Much Someone Else Will Make
@@qb6737 That is true and thanks for responding. I too am a box truck owner and have had my authority for three years. The best month I had was October 2021 when I grossed $16k. I will never forget that month and that month in particular is the ONLY reason why I decided not to throw in the towel this year because of criminally low freight rates. I have a 24ft reefer box truck and I haul reefer and regular freight. Last week this guy wanted me to haul 10 pallets at 18k pounds 400 miles for $950. I kid you NOT. I told him the absolute minimum I would accept for a load that big was $1600 (the going rate for a load that huge for that many miles is $1700). The entire year so far I have hauled 11 loads. I am not going to haul a damn thing that leaves me lass that $800-1k per load. I see loads on the boards that have been up four and five days because no one will take a load that doesnt even cover a full tank of gas by the time you're done. I wish you luck with you business and thanks again for responding.
@@outreachvideo Yeah Its Definitely Hard Out Here That Why I Stay Local And Keep Looking For Contracts Like Curbside Final Mile And Amazon At Night. The Spot Market Is Way Too Bad Right Now
@@qb6737 I admire you for dealing with Amazon. I balked at the necessity to raise my insurance rate up to $2 million dollars for them but I knew I either did it or I wasn't going to get the load. When I showed up at their facility I met the most frustrated woman life could have ever been placed in. What made me laugh at her was she was getting $17 an hour at best and going on and on about things that were just foolish. She was no doubt bucking for a supervisors position (at $1 an hour more at best). I went into business for myself because I do not get along well working with people who know they are underpaid and overworked. Two days later I went to another Amazon facility and didn't even accept the load. I just drove off and that was the end of it. I can't help but notice that the majority of the tractors that haul for Amazon look VERY beat up and raggedy and that the majority of the drivers of those tractors were immigrants (Ethiopians and other Africans, Russians and the like). Good luck with your business dude. I am in Missouri and hope one day we might cross paths.
But you don’t know what the hell you’re talking about
Be careful young fellow don't give to much it might work you out of your dedicated route because these companies don't care they just want there product moved and that's real talk
I Agree. I Just Do My Part
gatekeeper. he doesn't even tell you the name of the companies. i got my start through another brother on youtube who actually told you the companies. this dude's a gatekeeper for sure.
