Better to contact your local tour operators, guides, your known contacts in Nepal, and read up on as much online information as possible. Nevertheless definitely be prepared for peak winter weather, terrain and snowfall during Jan. Please contact your local representative in Nepal.
We haven't shot anything using a drone camera. I think people use drone and cameras at their own risk here (especially drone) as you could see some difficult to shoot terrains too, because of active snowfall while walking.
I think it's more about whether you can manage handling a drone at these temperatures. I used a GoPro. So while all throughout the journey, I was covered head to toe, it was only my right hand bare skin which was exposed to the cold temperatures, because no other way you could shoot. Gloves are too thick to give you precision while using phones, pressing touchscreen buttons, and if they're thinly layered, then the cold air seeps in and enters your hand and body. I am assuming a similar case is with the remote control that via which you operate your drone. It's difficult to press buttons and screens. You feel immobile. But nothing like it, if you can find a spot to stand, warm up and then shoot. content,
