That first day is always the hardest
That the last day is the easiest, but also the longest. Hard work and dedication pays off.

Everyday it gets easier, but you got to do it everyday, that’s the hard part, but it does get easier
This scene is so touching. He's limping up the steps in obvious pain. The music is soft and perfect for the somber mood. It's such a great contrast to the training montage, when he's taking the steps three at a time. The music swells, and when he raises his arms, I want to cheer, and cry. What a great build up to the finale! I ❤ Rocky.
spoiler! just kidding!
Don't forget that right after that other montage he realizes he can't beat Creed, and starts to realize the real fight is within him, his own lack of self worth, and that overcoming the personal feelings of doubt and standing in front of an unbeatable foe at his personal best is the real victory. It's what makes the movie so amazing (and why the sequels ruined that mystique).
This scene is perfect, it was his first training day, obviously it would be hard and this scene captures it perfectly.
If anyone has worked nights, knows the agony of only being able to workout at night. So this scene is my life. The running through a dead town, alone. Missing out
I’m confused if you work nights how do you run at 4am lol?

Random off days
Everything in this sequence is perfection. The music, the sound, the acting, the shots. Note there is no dialogue. There is absolutely no other way this could have been filmed. It makes the whole movie.
Man those early mornings are the hardest.
WHEN YOU HAVE ENOUGH GUTS TO OVERCOME THE VERY 1ST DAY THEN YOU ARE 100% WINNER
Yep😁
This one Arnold, he could never be beliavable in this. Not many actors, if any. This is seriously all SS, from the heart and it shows
It's why even when he fell into doing more generic action flicks (which were still fun) and being typecast later on, I've always had a ton of respect for him. He came from nothing, stuck to his guns and created something of serious artistic value here
this scene where this is playing is telling you that everything in this mans life evades him, rejects him, as he runs towards life, towards love, towards human connection, towards being a decent person and is constantly denied, even the news paper truck jets off as he's approaching it, so even first thing in the morning he's already being denied, try living like that, and see how it makes you feel inside, it can destroy you or propel you, in this case it propelled him and good for Rocky, he needed a victory in life, some appreciation, and even his bosses sidekick constantly bombs on him and dogs him out, Micky kicks him out of his locker, A LOCKER, a little piece of metal that holds dirty clothes is rejecting this man, are you starting to see the picture? the grunts as he's running, the sad music, it's a masterpiece, it's telling you it's not about boxing, it's about life and a man, a lonely man who finds love and that nourishes his soul, life isn't complicated people, we tend to let it get out of hand, it makes me sad because my eldest sister [deceased since 2008] was just born in [1975] before Rocky came out and my parents met and fell in love in the very parts of where the movie was filmed, and struggled, and moved to south jersey, and my father [deceased since 2002] always tried connecting to me tried telling me his history and love for Philly and Rocky and i was always too hyper as a kid or too much of an asshole to listen to him and i'm seriously regretting it i miss him everyday, Rocky is not about boxing trust me, as he's running up those steps in the early morning and you see the cars in the background moving on, it makes me tear up because that was probably my father going to work, providing for his family that never appreciated him, that's what i'm talking about, a lonely man, who is the greatest guy on earth yet is rejected at every instance in his life
Getting ready for the big fight. Keep punching, Rocky! 🥊🥊
I always like the scene, but now that I'm living alone, the moment Rocky turns on the radio just to have something in the background to make him company, makes the scene so relatable. The loniless walking down the stairs, it's though. Don't give up on yourself.
My God,it took me back in my hostel days of college.Twice began with breaking the eggs.Thanks.
How I feel waking up for work lol
Oh, wow! I have that exact sweatshirt that Stallone is wearing when he wakes up! Sweet!!!
a great scene. no celebrity workout. just dedication
No matter, how many times I watch rocky and rocky balboa. I always feel uneasy seeing rocky gulp down raw eggs like juice
Man, I do it all the time! I’ll drink them at night before bed or when I get back from the gym. Great protein source and very easy. It’s not that bad.
I Remember Being 8 years old watching Rocky with my dad and this scene always confused me because I knew from pop culture that Rocky was supposed to be a fighting warrior with superhero like abilities, and to see him BAREley get up those stairs, out of breath, panting, crying and just as human as the rest of us always stuck with me, To see where this warrior started off and ended up really inspired me to work hard and become a better version of myself.
No Movie Franchise will ever Beat Rocky
💥 🥊
Love the Radio bit in the back when he's eating the raw eggs. lol. so funny but so old school radio. I remember radio like that during the 80s and early 90s. lol.
The way this sets up the "Gonna Fly Now" montage that ends in hope is just brilliant storytelling. Modern "woke" films wouldn't have this scene because it makes the protagonist look "weak". But then there's no satisfying payoff and real triumph over adversity.
Still have this on VHS recorded from the BBC way back when :)
It is 4 ever ❤❤
Just keep in mind THIS is how most trainings actually feel. You gotta push through
This scene always gets me. 😢😢
You know I've watched this scene too many times when Mrs. Krammer the woman on the radio feels like a supporting actor.
This movie of 1976 still continues to amaze and motivate us . Rustless movie
I just love this scene nostalgic , beautiful , peacful ...
Today he’d be shot dead in most of these scenes, RIP Philly.
Greatest country in the world has the greatest sh*thole-cities in the world...
Nah Philly got love for Rocky
i was teary eyed watching this, then i laughed out loud suddenly 😂
This scene fooled me. I thought the big training montage was coming 😅
Gracias por la motivación Rocky! THANKS 4 allá MOTIVATION SLY!!!
Nostalgia
Great film and a inspiration
When i m in final exam period😂
Thanks
No words were said only the radio
Where can I get one of those radios that Rocky Balboa turned on after waking up?...
I tried looking for one almost exactly like that one on eBay & I couldn't find one.; Seeing as this movie came out in 1976 & this was the type of radio they had back in the 1960's/1970's, it's hard to point out exactly when it was made/etc. of that nature.
it is probably a build it yourself kit. Theyd sell small transitor radio kits with a tiny speaker at RadioShack
I can't help but start then stop then start again lol then I'm doing this all over again 😅
It's 2023. I can only do one egg. 😂
why?

Remember when they actually made films? The stuff that gets awarded Oscars today is an embarrassment.
Start your day with an Amber Moon.
Forgot to add a splash of Coke to the eggs.
I lost count, how many eggs do you need to be strong enough 💪❤
Being a winner is a lonely route.
I counted 5
If he would’ve swallowed one or two more eggs he would’ve become heavyweight champion

After drinking five raw egg yolks I'd be in the bathroom for half the day vomiting, rather than running....

Little did he know, he would face Apollo very soon.
He did know. That's why he starts training
He wanted to spar with the champ, at first. He wanted to be his sparring partner.
@@hectorlopez1069 No, he thought he was being asked to be a sparring partner, until he went to the office and learned differently. Maybe actually watch the movie?
