- We take a tour of the Texas Governor's Mansion and it's a great virtual field trip for kids! Watch as we see Texas history up close in this mansion that's housed every Texas governor since 1856 -- that's a whole lot of history, folks!
It's not only tied to Austin, Texas history, but to the history of the Lone Star State, and the interior is incredible! Not only do we see the cabinet where each governor has left a memento from their time in the home, but we also got to see the actual bed where Sam Houston slept, and Stephen F. Austin's traveling desk! So cool!

True statement for anyone; get up each day and want to do what is right - then it will work out. I am curious; when governors are not re-elected where or what do they do? Do they have a back up plan when that day comes?
