I love seeing the place that saved my life get more recognition. Tree House Recovery is seriously the best treatment there is, and seeing them team up with doctors from Harvard makes me so happy. What they are doing needs to be seen by the world. I hope more and more people can share this knowledge so that we can finally make an impact on the addiction epidemic.

I’m so happy that there is a program out there that truly understands and is continually learning how to provide the best holistic care for people that for years have only had very limited options and low success rates.

Research strongly shows a correlation between exercise and a reduction of depression. Looks like a well rounded program that addresses exercise, meditation and community. All very integral in healing. ❤

Humans and addiction are complex - so treatment should be too. Amazing to see an organization that treats the whole person, the root, and not just the symptoms. Love knowing that THR creates a safe place for men to be vulnerable. Without a feeling of security we can't develop cognitively.

If you’ve tried the talk therapy of other rehabs and have not successfully connected to a program, consider THR. Their multi faceted approach gives you the tools to break the chain of addiction and start a new life. Great video that represents the commitment, compassion and respect THR has for addiction.

      My story
Had social anxiety like issues since school time . Never got diagnosed & kept within me.then to avoid it I drank alcohol on weekends ( 4-5 pegs /2-beer )for 3-4 years. There were gaps of 2-3 weeks also in b/w. The day after the day i got drank i got my first panic attack i.e 13 jan 2024(felt heart attack first as i didn't new what was panic attack( heart racing , nausea, dizziness, world going to end etc.) rushed to the hospital to emergency they told me it was panic attack & asked about the alcohol intake time & symptoms of nausea, dizziness etc and then they prescribed me lorazepam for 1 week . I felt great but also b/w i got panics but dealt with it. Afterwards i was on mirtazpine 7.5 mg it was sedation hell for me for first 2-3 days & got better with my depression, low mood was almost gone away. Then after 50 days on it, i was prescribed naltrexone with stop on mirtazpine .It made my mood low & irritated for 15 days of use. Abnormal heart beat often through the day. Told about this to doc & prescribed me camprol 333mg 2- thrice a day.Now today i have started it lets see. No cravings i have now but being anxious & pounding heart 5 minutes in totall throughout the day. I dunno whether these are protracted alcohol withdrawal or something else. Now its 6 Oct 2024, approx 8.5 months. Habe been on acomprsate for three months felt really good. Last week stopped. Now again symptoms but not that panic level as of jan 15th. But stress & anxiety of death pf person in family triggers again & again . Went to psychiatrist. Dosage of sos medicine increased to 0.5 grams. Feels ok only when meds action is on. Then gets return to anxious state. Still trying to find out whether there ia some other serious problem of anxiety or alcohol effects on. I am try for year to wait for any further treatment apart from alcohol. Lets see. Also not taking acomprsate from 01/10/2024

I chose to live. Try doing it for something you want bigger then yourself. A goal that your addiction wouldn't allow you to have. That's helped me be so much more excited
