    From Bangor, Bar Harbor was almost 50 miles in and 50 miles out. 2 1/2 trip for those 7002 points. Ask me how I know!

    Very interesting. I'm enjoying you experience, and look forward to other videos. I don't want to pry too much, but what is your "rally speed"? 5-10 over the speed limit? If you'd rather not go into that, no worries.

      well...I was running at 85 MPH and another rally guy passed me so I bumped it to 90, keep in mind I was in the South for most of this. In the North East you cannot run those speeds...Dave

    Really enjoying the videos. Interesting in trying for a IBR in the future. Question? First leg where did you sleep on your rest breaks?

      The first leg I rode through the night on day 1 and stopped late the second day in Roanoke, Va...Dave

      So to be specific, if I needed a nap, rest area benches were my go too, but if I was taking an 8 hour break then it was a hotel....Dave

    Thanks again, Dave. Very helpful information. Question - you arrived in Tulsa 1.5 hours before penalty. If you went for the lobster would that have put you into penalty or how did that impact your route/bonuses etc?

    • @KendallAdventureandTravel
      @KendallAdventureandTravel  Год назад +1

      Easy answer is yes, I would have had to drop something else, but the rest of the bonuses were smaller in points, 1000 or even a 600 point bonus. It's good practice to learn to skip waypoints and watch arrival time or distance....Dave

      @@KendallAdventureandTravel FYI - I'm located in Indiana and rode over to Pitt to watch the start and the finish. I'm a fairly "young" IBA with my SS1K completed in 2017 and 48 in 10 completed last year. Would love to be an IBR rider some day!!!! Thanks, Dave!!!

    Cool. 1 question, if you did go the fattest east you could for the 7k points, would you still have made it to the hotel the same day or do they have people arriving multiple days?

    Congrats on finishing!!
    Question: Do they provide the bonus point locations in a GPX that you can easily import into Basecamp or other mapping program? I downloaded each leg PDF but was curious if you had to type in all the coordinates.

    • @KendallAdventureandTravel
      @KendallAdventureandTravel  Год назад +1

      They provide the GPS locations in 3 formats, GPX, GDP and KML, those are emailed after each rider meeting...Dave
