Hi Hank. I just had a thought. Maybe for the monitoring of the cooling water you could make a flow meter like what's on a welding gas bottle. Merry Christmas!
Btw, if you intend to repair or debug your constructions, connected to the engine, then consider adding quick connect fittings to your pipes. Some threshold between engine compartment and cabin could be good too. The idea is to reduce spilling of oil, coolant and other liquids, because cleaning stinky mess inside closed space can be very difficult task. Plz check, whether you have enough space for exchange of oil, filters, coolant and whatsoever.

The hull is 48 inches OD, so its pretty roomy for a personal submarine.

All fluids can be drained into containers to avoid spills. I hate a dirty bilge.
