    1. What the ADHD brain pattern consists of. What the anxiety brain pattern has gone.
    2. How addictions serve both those brain patterns.

    Sounds great, simple, but unfortunately doesn’t work long term. I’ve been going through cycles like this for decades: I think “I’ll just take a walk when I get home from work instead of pouring a glass of wine… YAY, I’M CURED!!!!” For a week or two. Maybe even a few months (long enough to create a habit). But time and again, I just fall back into old patterns. Nothing is this simple with ADHD. Still searching for help.

      When you find something that works let me know. I’m honestly so FN tired of this.

    That was quite insightful to know that one could sometimes couple stimulating and calming activities or depending upon the need i.e reading a thrilling novel while lying down in a cosy bed and in a soothing room.

    I have trouble distinguishing if I need stimulus or calming in the moment, and I know my mind craves both.
    Healthy habits are incredibly difficult to naturally think of and most things that come to mind as healthy habits or routines don’t seem to interest me.
    I do want to change my unhealthy habits and have stopped some of the most destructive ones, but I feel the void made in their absence.
    Is there some sort of master list of calming or stimulating activities that I could choose from rather than the normal suggestions of reading and other such mundane activities?
    Like a “choose this when craving that” with hundreds of options?
    Sometimes even just hearing many different examples helps me come up with my own when I’m given a “genre”

    I wonder if this may help in addition to those discussed (because i have those 3. I seem to think i have an addiction that i use for emotional detachment. Currently it is research, porn, and t.v.. it could also be video games, cigarettes, caffeine soda, sugar, pot, i have done all of these at one time or another quit all of them except t.v., porn, and sugar) - these maybe unreliable additional diagnosis - PTSD , maybe schizoaffective disorder 🤔 unclear really if this is true, maybe borderline personality disorder or something similar where a friend can instantly become foe, maybe I have this but maybe not this one is for a family member "narcissistic" issues?

    I have a problem to understand it to be honest. Adhd mind is hiperacive and it can be very fast and powerful if focus. How is that related to the low frequency sleepy brain?

    • @Alex-gg3qm
      @Alex-gg3qm 3 года назад +3

      I think that the "tired-brain" or low frequency with the adhd mind means that they hyper-actively seek external and internal stimulus (because they don't have the normal stimulus to begin with)

      I like the way this video explains how brain function can be “sluggish” and may cause the individual to compensate the deficit in the brain processing speed with addictive behavior. It might be worth noting that there are three presentations of ADHD; innatentive, hyperactive, and a mixed of both. Depending on the type, symptoms will vary. Since neurological processes are complex, a program that is tailored to the individual will be the most effective.

    I loved the content so much! You have to most def collaborate with Bad Friends. Their vids are similar to Logan Paul mixed with a bit of Casey Neistat. Theyre a dope group in SoCal!
