    This video was so positive and inspiring. I have been dealing with what I was told was CCCA probably about 12 years ago, without a biopsy. For years I have been able to hide my thinning, now it is nearly impossible. Recently I have linked up with a Trichologist, not in my state, who has been helpful. I am now in the process of finding an African American Dermatologist. I am praying something works. I will say that I have been blessed; for years the thinning wasn’t noticeable to anyone except for me. Now you can see straight through my scalp. Talk about stressed and depressed. Glad I found your channel.

    Thank you for sharing. This is my 1st time watching. New subbie here. I’m CCCA and my dermatologist asked me to be a part of her study using Metformin to address my scarring areas. I had a biopsy today. I’ve been on oral minoxidil for a year. I’ve had some growth but my hair is still thin in the ccca areas. I will join the Facebook group and continue learning. 🙏🏾

    Thank you for sharing your story! I’ve been dealing with losing my crown for a couple of years now and I finally started taking steps to heal. And I feel better seeing so many stories of regrowth and just too see how so many others are going through this too. And I had Covid around Thanksgiving and my body was going through it! Anyways Sending you blessings.

    CCCA sufferer here! I have had COVID-19. I managed a COVID-19 clinic during the pandemic. Listening to this clip, it sounds to me like you have a gut issue that needs to be dealt with. Also if you have COVID-19 again I would strongly recommend following the FLCCC protocol & do the keto diet immediately. Loratidine is highly important when managing COVID-19. I also suspect your Vit D although within normal parameters, they are actually low for you as a person of color. Take your Vitamin D at bedtime.

    • @nourishyourcrown
      @nourishyourcrown  Год назад +1

      Thanks for the tips! You are spot on ... the gut issues were identified early in my journey and have been a priority for me. I take my Vitamin D in the morning because it can disrupt sleep at night.

    You are a champion! Thank you for your sharing your knowledge and encouragement. I started following your suggestions on Jan 24, 2022 and I haven't seen any great improvement in my bald spot. Unfortunately, I did not give up diary or sugar. I also did not take the supplements regularly, along with a lot of other life issues... husband very sick from January to April, then husband dies, then just trying to keep going and readjusting to life. My hair did not get any worse, i have good edges and good thick shoulder length hair, just bald crown, sometimes it seems to be getting smaller, I can't really tell from my pictures, which I take every 24th day of each month. I was going to foresake this regimen, as I am 75 and it could just be age... but your words have encouraged me to keep it up and to seek a good hair doctor, cut out diary and sugar (very hard for me) and to continue and increase eating anti inflammatory foods. So happy to hear you were able to get back on track with your regimen and happy to hear that you overcame you and your husband's bouts with Covid.

I have not been diagnosed with CCCA but I am experiencing some of the symptoms. I have been praying for some time for scalp healing and rejuvenation, but FAITH without WORK is dead, so it’s time to put in work. First step is to find a dermatologist, then allow the journey to begin from there. 🙏🏾 thank you sister

    Thank you so much for sharing your story. I came across your videos because I was looking for a review of IRestore helmet by someone like myself. I thank you for posting your review. I ordered mine yesterday as I plann to add to my arsenal against CCCA. Thankfully, the regime my dermatologist has me on has been showing some results, but I am sooooo tired of wigs & I want to wear my own hair. I cant wait to get started and pray for good results.

    I would recommend a through check up with a rheumatologist or immunological doctor. I was dx with ccca alopecia 3 years ago. But now I'm dealing with sjögren's syndrome and arthritis. Ccca maybe a precursor to more serious autoimmune diseases like Rheumatoid arthritis, Lupus, or sjögren's syndrome, because it's not just inflammation in the scalp ,but in the body. Recommend to do this and rule out all other underlying disorders.

    Hi sis, just subscribed to you. I have a question... I was in my twenties when the gherri curl craze came out and I know it was the moisture from the s- curl formula that helped hair to grow. My boyfriend at the time got one in the spring and by September he'd have a bushy growth of hair. So did so many others i knew as well. My question to you is: do you put the hair lotion on at night or are you using it during the day? And does it have a strong fragrance? Im thinking about using it for nighttime and rinsing it out in the shower the next day. Sounds like a great idea; usually I wear my hair in a dry afro. 😅

    • @nourishyourcrown
      @nourishyourcrown  Год назад

      Welcome to the channel! Yes, I remember the gherri curl craze and I had one too! lol I have been using it in the morning and if it's feeling dry, I'll also use a little at night. It doesn't have a strong fragrance to me. I don't rinse it out until wash day.

      Hi! Great question! I try to eat an adequate amount of protein (chicken, fish, eggs, etc.) as well as anti-inflammatory fruits and veggies. I'm still working on this area. I eliminated dairy completely because I'm lactose intolerant and I could tell that it was impacting my gut health and causing inflammation there. I also reduced refined sugars (this is a big one, from my perspective) and I still have some work to do here as well. I have a few food videos on the channel and those represent some of the foods that I try to incorporate regularly (smoothies, salmon, etc.)

      I don't currently use any oils consistently. I've periodically tried all kinds of hair oils but not enough to determine if they help or hurt. My current product line for styling for the past few weeks has been a combination using Scurl moisturizer, tabitha brown's hair conditioner, and sometimes a little gel.
