  • In this video, we'll break down everything you need to know about the AquaQuest Waterproof Lightweight Guide Tarp.
The AquaQuest Guide lightweight tarp is lighter, stronger, quieter, more compact, more versatile, and more waterproof than your standard camping tarp. Constructed of 40D ripstop fabric with dual coatings of silicone & PU the lightweight Guide tarp is durable, ultralight and impressively resilient to the forces of nature.
    100% WATERPROOF
    No matter what the elements throw at you, the Guide Lightweight Tarp will keep you and your gear completely dry. Available in four sizes: 10 x 7’ (3 x 2 m), 10 x 10’ (3 x 3 m), 13 x 10’ (4 x 3 m) and 20 x 13’ ( 6 x 4 m).
    ULTRALIGHT & COMPACT
At only 0.9 - 3.1 lbs (430 g - 1.4 kg), you’ll hardly notice you’re carrying the Guide. It packs up so small that you can fit it in almost any compartment or space, and it comes with a handy stuff-sack.
    VERSATILE
Guide tarps feature 13 - 21 reinforced webbing loops (including one in the very centre for hanging), and are available in sizes that provide a total coverage of 64 - 243 square feet (6 - 23 m2). Peg the Guide into the ground or attach the side loops to a tree or fence and all your gear will stay bone dry.
    LIFETIME WARRANTY
Located in the Pacific Northwest, we’ve been designing and testing waterproof gear since 1994 and all our products are backed by a lifetime warranty.

Best tarps in the the industry in my opinion I own 4 defender series tarps from Aquaquest . I use them all the time I even contacted Aquaquest and suggested that they consider making tents based off the quality of their tarps . Very well made !

I love my 10x10 Safari so far... but geez I’d love to get my hands on that 7x10 Guide for backpacking! I just did a “first impressions” review on the Safari if you want to check it out 😬

I love my Defender. I don't mind weight, not a person that will save weight on most important stuff. Shelter, fire, water food and medicine. All else I will save weight on. But not on essentials

I recently bought your 10x10 defender, 7x10 guide and 24 boa straps. After seeing your setup here I am a bit confused as to how to use the boa straps. I see you also have a cord Ridgeline as well. I thought you could use the straps just by themselves. Quebec.

Hi James! Depending on your environment and pitch, the Boa straps can be used on their own, or in conjunction with cordage. If you need some input please visit the AquaQuest website and contact our customer service through your preferred communciation channel. Hope we can help you out!

Why no camp pattern on the guide?

The Guide uses a 40D Nylon Ripstop a different fabric from the Defender and the Safari camo's.
