Had my fill of cheap tarps weight and silnylon that mist through in a downpour. I'm delighted with the AQ Guide tarps. Two 10×10 and one 13×20. Best tarps going.

I love this brand ! The quality is amazing! But... I have the Defender Heavy-Duty 13X10 and it's too big for me! So, since I've only used it 1 time, and I don't need it (not too much rain in France), I'm thinking of reselling it at half price...

I have ordered a 10x10 guide tarp from aquaquest, my last tarp tore on one corner last trip, so wanted something with a good rep that would last. I think this one will be a good tarp.

I own this tarp in various sizes. Love aquaquest products and the support they show the camping community. Can't believe how light this tarp is and how small it can get. It's also fairly cheap for the quality you are getting. Thanks for sharing Marty. Be cool if you compared the different versions. Defender, guide, safari and emergency. Just a thought! Have a good one.

Hey that's a great presentation. Have you seen the Rab Siltarp? I've been wondering which one to get. 5.000mm hydrostatic head. That would be 3.000mm more than the Siltarp and most others. How about the weight? On german Amazon some costumer weighed their 3x3 Guide tarp to be quite a bit (like +200g with stuff sack) heavier than advertised but could be just a Monday model? Jupiter hikes recommended two ultra lightweight Sil nano tarps 5 years ago but both are only sold in the US. Here in Europe Ultralight is often twice as heavy for some reason. Regards

Very nice piece of gear, a must have IMO! Edit: any idea as to how heat(as in a closed vehicle) would effect this unit? I'm thinking as in a longer term storage as in a emergency kit, have an extra tarp just for that 🤔

Hey Dustin, I'm not sure how it would do in high heat to be honest.... I feel like it might be to much in a car in the middle of the summer for extended period of time...
