This could be in the morning or evening according to your convenience. I have made videos for strengthening the body parts we use while dancing. Do check them out.

Such lovely videos Pratibha, While I keep dancing as a hobby, learning how the body is changing and what is needed as exercises has made it all the more enjoyable and easy. Thanks
(Just a note on Trikonāsana: the foot positioning should be adjusted.) Many thanks for these exercises! I also appreciate the anatomical information, and you showing how the specific exercises relate to specific adavus.
@@PratibhaKini In fact I am doing most of these already. But I don't have as much flexibility as you and I am doing it wrong in few steps. I will rectify them. Thank you so much
Thanks for the lovely workouts. I have been doing the part 1 series for 3 days now. Wondering when I can incorporate part 2 too (time being my enemy). Thanks again.

Thank you! I enjoyed your tutorials to strengthen the right muscle groups for Bharatanatyam. I have a 5 year old daughter who recently started taking Bharatanatyam classes. She thoroughly enjoys dancing and needs some help to progress to a full hip kick jump. Could you post a video to help her get there? Thank you!
Pratibha Kini Glad to receive a response from you. Thank you! I am new to Bharatanatyam and hence not sure what the technical term is for the jump. She practices the jump everyday as part of the exercise routine. She said it’s supposed to be done with hands on hips and a high jump with both heels touching the bottom. However she is unable to touch both legs at a time and is only able to touch either of the heels. I understand that she is only 5 and has plenty of time to progress. But since she is very interested, I thought of getting her help 😊
@@sathyah89 That is not part of the Bharatanatyam curriculum. It must be an exercise advised by her teacher, which is good :) There is no other way than just jumping and trying to touch both the heels together, I guess :) She will hopefully get there with practice..
Dear Pratiba kini Very very useful your warm up exercises for the baharathnatyam dancers. I started to follow your exercises. But I have one doubt:, which is the proper time to do this exercise please mention us the timings. Thank you
Thank you soo much for your lovely feedback! This particular video was intended to encourage dancers to warm-up before dance practice/class. But if you are asking me the proper time to exercise/workout, I would say it's the time that will help you be consistent with your workouts. I prefer working out first thing in the morning so that no other commitment through the day comes in the way of my daily workout. But some find evening workouts effective. So try working out at a time which suits you best and be consistent :) Hope I answered your question..
You will definitely be able to tone your muscles with exercise. But you need to do the strength, conditioning and cardio exercises too for that.. just the warm up exercises won't do! :) Do check out other videos on my channel. You might find it useful :)
