    • @PratibhaKini
      @PratibhaKini  4 года назад +1

      It is a must to do warm up and cool down before and after any dance practice/workout respectively.
      The strengthening and conditioning exercises should become part of your training regime. This could be in the morning or evening according to your convenience.
      I have made videos for strengthening the body parts we use while dancing. Do check them out.

      Pratibha Kini Glad to receive a response from you. Thank you! I am new to Bharatanatyam and hence not sure what the technical term is for the jump. She practices the jump everyday as part of the exercise routine. She said it’s supposed to be done with hands on hips and a high jump with both heels touching the bottom. However she is unable to touch both legs at a time and is only able to touch either of the heels. I understand that she is only 5 and has plenty of time to progress. But since she is very interested, I thought of getting her help 😊

      @@sathyah89 That is not part of the Bharatanatyam curriculum. It must be an exercise advised by her teacher, which is good :) There is no other way than just jumping and trying to touch both the heels together, I guess :) She will hopefully get there with practice..

      Thank you soo much for your lovely feedback! This particular video was intended to encourage dancers to warm-up before dance practice/class. But if you are asking me the proper time to exercise/workout, I would say it's the time that will help you be consistent with your workouts. I prefer working out first thing in the morning so that no other commitment through the day comes in the way of my daily workout. But some find evening workouts effective. So try working out at a time which suits you best and be consistent :) Hope I answered your question..
