    man I would love more lessons on how to appropriately use delays along with tap tempo from you. you always do a great job of breaking it down to a simple, nonintimidating science. thank you for doing what you do!

    it sounds like your delay pedal mutes the first and then every 4th delay repetition, to give it that "galopping" sound? made me think about ways to maybe reproduce that with a combination of 2 cheap "normal" delay pedals... one does the 1st and 3rd repetition and the other one does the middle one. Now I have no idea what exactly that means in note lengths but I think it might work.... will test right now :D

    • @KrumpusPlunk

      I think it should be one reverb set to dotted 4th and one to dotted 1/2 if that makes sense?

    Hi Bill, thanks for the lesson. Query, the Iridium does not go to the end of the chain of pedals ?. Thank you very much in advance

    • @chordsoforion
      @chordsoforion  4 года назад +1

      You can put the Iridium in the signal chain wherever you like. I generally prefer it before the volume pedal and delay/time effects unless I am using its stereo inputs.

    Bill, Valhalla DSP just released a new Delay/Reverb vst for free, it's called Super Massive and you're going to want to try that out, lots of fun just in the presets alone.

    I have a question about recording, did you direct out from DIG to interface?
    I always put my Iridium at last one, I wonder if I can chain it first then go to other pedal to interface.

    • @chordsoforion
      @chordsoforion  4 года назад

      Yes - the DIG was last in the chain. I generally prefer delays and reverbs after the amp modeler. Experiment with your rig to see what you like best.

    I like the hybrid picking but why not free up the index finger by learning to play with a thumb pick?

    • @chordsoforion
      @chordsoforion  4 года назад +2

      Sure! I have a video on thumbpicking and use one frequently. I do view both options as different and legit techniques that produce different results.

    • @chordsoforion
      @chordsoforion  4 года назад +2

      Iridium = fabulous for recording. As much as I love some of my other amp modelers, the Iridium keeps calling me back.

      @@chordsoforion very interesting, i haven't had good luck with modeling amps, i always prefer my mic'd princeton, but this one seems perfect and way cheaper than a fractal... thanks for all your cool videos
