I really don't want to rain on your parade and I only have one concern for your well being, that is watch your hair when you have your hair down when your using tools that rotate ie the screw gun or the drill. It will grab your hair and really hurt if it gets caught enough.

Great Father-Daughter moment. You are extremely smart. We are very fond and happy to see that you are smart enough to know something might be wrong and you found help. We were sitting here, being keyboard coaches, saying "your doing it wrong" and you change your technique. Many people twice your age still have not learned that lesson. We have enjoyed watching your journey thus far. We are looking forward to many more videos.

@@sannevanbeers She went to trace out the windows and realized it was wrong. She found a better, correct way to do it. Her first attempt at building the 2x3 window frames was wrong. Either she figured it out or she sought help. She learned to ask. She figured things out before it went wrong. Which proves my statement that she is smart. It took me a long time before I could ask questions or accept help. She is smarter than i was at her age.

THANK YOU for filling my heart with happiness and excitement for your journey. So glad you let your Dad help! Sometimes you just need that little edge of the love of a Dad to get you through. I am converting a cargo trailer into a living space to save for land. I just purchased my windows Not near as fancy as yours lol but I will be installing them soon. I'm sure you made it look much easier than it was, but I really wish you had allowed us to hear you thinking out loud because for me personally it would have been beneficial since I'm at that point in my own build..... Love the videos, best of luck ........

As a designer (with mild OCD), watching you do this build without a design plan or specifications, makes skin is crawl lol! It's turning into some odd form of therapy for me. I couldn't do it this way, but it's so interesting to watch and experience someone else do it. Thanks and I hope everything turns out great for you! :)

Hahaha, I am not a designer, just a Country girl with a Business degree & her approach scares the bJesus out of me too! Just found her channel & binged watched her latest 10 episodes. Just proof we are all different & have different approaches. I also tend to tackle projects without stopping & don't allow myself to enjoy minor successes until bigger projects are finished. She is coming along quite nicely. I am strangely fascinated by the slow pace.

I really enjoy your videos! They are really calm and feel more authentic than those of many other van life vloggers. You don't live in some perfect van (yet) and go on some outrageous adventures like going to the north pole, climbing the Kilimandscharo or Building a House. Instead you take your time to build out your van, project by project, learn a lot while doing it and visit the beautiful places this world offers. It is impressive that you do this on your own, only with some help, but still feels achievable and inspiring.
I somehow had this dream of doing some sort of van- or bus-conversion ever since I've been a kid, far before the van life trend actually started to get so big, but I eventually stopped thinking about it. In the recent years this van life trend made me think of it again, but it was your recent videos that made me think about it constantly and actually look for vans... and box trucks, which I hadn't though about before. I already have a lot of ideas and when I finish uni in a few months I might just finally commit to it.
I am already excited for the next videos!

the window installation is a huge milestone ! it will definitely help set the path of your build going forward . Like boat builds , weight distribution and load capacity will also be determining factors to what you need vs what you like to have . your judicious and careful planning will only yield positive results keeping mind that we learn best from our mistakes .

i wait each time between to watch your creativity unfold! i am a planner, but have discovered with my van, that all the planning ends in many changes…so i am letting go of the specific plans and doing it as I go. i love how you have the ideas in your head, but you aren’t married to a plan which can only cause stress. Thank you for your example…and for sharing with us your new adventure. you are truly an inspiration to me and have given me “permission” stop obsessing over what to do next….but to just do it! also….you are not setting any deadlines, schedules, “must have it done by ____. i keep forgetting…isn’t that the point of vanlife? take each day and fill it with the thing that will move you forward, even if it means a day of rest. thank you also for sharing the reality that things take longer than expected….yet there are moments when things come together. you have helped me so much…and i am 70 years old…so should know this by now! enjoy your Thanksgiving…you have so much to be thankful for…you have come so far from the anxious young girl to a mature woman who is at ease in herself. what am i thankful for? for one….you, my dear young lady! shalom! ❤

Let's just say I avoided having to buy more plywood to re-do both sides....
ALWAYS test fit the first window to make sure you did it right.
I cut mine wrong as I made my cardboard template on the outside instead of the inside dimension.
Your nervousness was justified, but I felt a bit of the triumph you must have felt!

Your next step is to put solar panels on that roof, that can fold out and give you a shelter wherever you stop while charging your batteries to run your A/C, fridge, TV, Computer, etc... Great work.

Very impressed with your carpentry. I can't imagine how scary it is to cut 3 big holes in the truck you just bought.

You are building trade skills and problem skills for life. If you were my child I would be so proud of you. I had my 6 year old daughter watch this with me. I recently built an off road trailer from scratch so she has seen how hard this all is. Good job.

I find the freestyle way you are doing the build very refreshing and it fits your character nicely. I wish I could have some of that attitude. I am the exact opposite. I wouldn't pick up a screwdriver before having gone through 30 iterations of a complete CAD model of the built.

Brilliant video. I recently watched a van build video from the UK and the guy had about three other van build experts with him. They cut the first window too big in the side door. He had to buy another door which wasn't the right colour and cut again. From then on, he worked alone. I think it is best.

Thanks for another excellent video. I bought a 12v blanket today to keep me warm on my trip to Pittsburgh for Thanksgiving. Good job on cutting the windows, my daughter cut mine out for me.

Honestly such a smart idea while cutting out the holes to use tape to help secure the cut ends. Otherwise the loose side would've vibrated really bad while cutting the other sides
