Hi - happy Thursday🕺 . We'll be back on the 28th with video #7. Hope everyone is having a good Novembur, and merry early turkey day from our little family to yours ;)
I love you boo ❤
Nice job lady 🤙🏻
Very nice, well done. You should be proud of yourself.
I really don't want to rain on your parade and I only have one concern for your well being, that is watch your hair when you have your hair down when your using tools that rotate ie the screw gun or the drill. It will grab your hair and really hurt if it gets caught enough.
Heyy thank you for uploading, it’s so encouraging seeing your progress! Well done so far and great luck for the future! Can’t wait 😄♥️
Your never going to plan a week in advance again the. Plan to have a video on the 28th 😂 your funny. Your fun. Your resilient. I think today I subscribe. Honestly it looks kinda fun to build a truck out like this.
I am amazed by your independence and your ability to create a new home from a used box truck. You rock, Mariah.
couldn´t agree more on a comment! Love being able to watch the process🤩
same holy moly
No doubt
You guys are far too sweet 🥺
I could not say it better, amazing.
As a father I am so proud of what you are doing. When Papa appeared in video and helped it may have brought a little tear to my eye. Keep living your life!!!
Please Let's talk now 👆, I've got
something to share,,,,,
Great Father-Daughter moment. You are extremely smart. We are very fond and happy to see that you are smart enough to know something might be wrong and you found help. We were sitting here, being keyboard coaches, saying "your doing it wrong" and you change your technique. Many people twice your age still have not learned that lesson. We have enjoyed watching your journey thus far. We are looking forward to many more videos.
From the Wife and I.
Nothing went wrong, she just got somebody to help her put up some windows.
@@sannevanbeers She went to trace out the windows and realized it was wrong. She found a better, correct way to do it. Her first attempt at building the 2x3 window frames was wrong. Either she figured it out or she sought help. She learned to ask. She figured things out before it went wrong. Which proves my statement that she is smart. It took me a long time before I could ask questions or accept help. She is smarter than i was at her age.
@@sannevanbeers - She didn’t know that the trim around the first window was wrong because she didn’t realize the wood 2x3” pieces weren’t actually 2x3”. Her dad stepped in and she said saved the day and that if it weren’t for him this project would have taken an extra week.
That’s what Dad’s r for! ❤Glad she has a Smart, Handy Good One ! Mariah is Independent, Creative Smart Young Lady !❤
the moment of silence before drilling the first pilot hole is wonderful
amen
Omg girl!! You rock! So envious of you. You can do anything Mariah when you put your mind to it. I have a feeling it’s gonna be a beautiful build in the end. Much love from Iowa and hugs to Finn!! 🦋❤️🦋🌸❤️
I hope it's going to be beautiful in the end lolol. Thank you :)
I very rarely ever comment on a video. Your courage and bravery in the moments of fear and doubt are beyond encouraging to me (and I am sure others). I find myself at the end of each of your build upgrades cheering you on with great amounts of tears of joy in celebration of your continued successes. THANK YOU for filling my heart with happiness and excitement for your journey. So glad you let your Dad help! Sometimes you just need that little edge of the love of a Dad to get you through. Keep up the amazing work and I so look forward to what's next! We/I all love you girl!!!
Hats of to you SERIOUSLY!! I am a 52yr old disabled woman who has made a lot of stupid decisions throughout my life and now for the 3rd time am starting over. I am converting a cargo trailer into a living space to save for land. I just purchased my windows Not near as fancy as yours lol but I will be installing them soon. I'm sure you made it look much easier than it was, but I really wish you had allowed us to hear you thinking out loud because for me personally it would have been beneficial since I'm at that point in my own build..... Love the videos, best of luck ........
As a designer (with mild OCD), watching you do this build without a design plan or specifications, makes skin is crawl lol! It's turning into some odd form of therapy for me. I couldn't do it this way, but it's so interesting to watch and experience someone else do it. Thanks and I hope everything turns out great for you! :)
Hahaha, I am not a designer, just a Country girl with a Business degree & her approach scares the bJesus out of me too! Just found her channel & binged watched her latest 10 episodes. Just proof we are all different & have different approaches. I also tend to tackle projects without stopping & don't allow myself to enjoy minor successes until bigger projects are finished. She is coming along quite nicely. I am strangely fascinated by the slow pace.
I'm wondering if she's gonna put stairs infront of the windows or just hop up to bed everyday
I'm not a designer either but I definitely have OCD lite when it comes to this kind of thing or artistic endeavours of ANY sort. This is SO good for me to watch.
Bit like sitting in the passenger seat and the driver turns the volume up and it lands on an odd number. If I were driving it's even numbers only.
Same same & I've gone and brought a truck 😂
You are one amazing young lady and I have huge respect for you. What an inspiration you can be to so many young girls and women, that if you put your mind to it, anything can be achieved. You are a joy to watch. Many blessings to you, young Mariah xx
Just so you know, thanks to you, I'm thinking of getting a license and going to live in a house on wheels.
My all-time most favorite video on YT. Most beautiful and sunny day. That’s a magical place to spend time. There’s a cemetery there where my dad rests. God Bless you and Fin
Kudos for doing things your own way, not being afraid to make mistakes, and learning along the way!
Wow Mariah, you've come such a long way! Don't be too hard on yourself girl. That was so sweet of your dad helping out! Much love, from California!
I am in awe watching you. Geez, thanks Dad for the little help there, but truly you are inspiring... and your little dog too!
You inspire me so much. Im only 14 so I can’t pursue my dreams of travelling in a van yet. But I can’t wait till I’m 18 and I can just live the life I’ve dreamed of.
The best part of the video besides your humor was seeing you working with your dad……..He must be proud!!!
Good to see your dad helping out!
We love a supportive Papa Bear!! The windows look amazing Mariah 🤩
Nice to see your dad in your video Mariah and helping you
A very beautiful and talented person you are. The windows look amazing and it's awesome that you installed them yourself!
I think that was my favourite Mariah Alice video, ever! Lovely windows too.
I really enjoy your videos! They are really calm and feel more authentic than those of many other van life vloggers. You don't live in some perfect van (yet) and go on some outrageous adventures like going to the north pole, climbing the Kilimandscharo or Building a House. Instead you take your time to build out your van, project by project, learn a lot while doing it and visit the beautiful places this world offers. It is impressive that you do this on your own, only with some help, but still feels achievable and inspiring.
I somehow had this dream of doing some sort of van- or bus-conversion ever since I've been a kid, far before the van life trend actually started to get so big, but I eventually stopped thinking about it. In the recent years this van life trend made me think of it again, but it was your recent videos that made me think about it constantly and actually look for vans... and box trucks, which I hadn't though about before. I already have a lot of ideas and when I finish uni in a few months I might just finally commit to it.
I am already excited for the next videos!
Your Daddy is adorable. I just turned 70 and my Daddy was my Knight in Shining Armor. He always let me go as far as I could go when I was building something, then he would jump in and rescue me when he saw I needed his help and/or stuck. Dad's rock!!!! Your windows came out wonderful. God bless you. You should be so proud of yourself. Good job!!!!!
Those windows look so good! And thanks for showing us a little bit of your family! I hope they are proud of how capable and independent you are!
Because you have the video on all the time, you have started to talk to yourself. Well done on the adventurous work you take on. Good on you.
awesome job kido. dad's r awesome. ur realizing u have no need to fear & we all make mistakes. luv u kido.
Turning an empty box into a home on wheels. Wow, this is progress!
I came across your video and was blown away. The difference with the windows installed.....amaaaazing! They instantly added a homey, warmer ambiance. Very impressive young lady. ✌
It is always good to be able to see out when your inside. Good job Mariah. Have a grand day.
Can’t wait to see how your truck will look once it is done. Love your positive energy and your videos. Keep it coming.
fix up some temp work lights 12v
I hate that I'm almost 50 and have been working with power tools for years, but I still can't cut a straight line with a jigsaw to save my life, and you're here just going at it like it's nothing. Nice job. :)
the window installation is a huge milestone ! it will definitely help set the path of your build going forward . Like boat builds , weight distribution and load capacity will also be determining factors to what you need vs what you like to have . your judicious and careful planning will only yield positive results keeping mind that we learn best from our mistakes .
i wait each time between to watch your creativity unfold! i am a planner, but have discovered with my van, that all the planning ends in many changes…so i am letting go of the specific plans and doing it as I go. i love how you have the ideas in your head, but you aren’t married to a plan which can only cause stress. Thank you for your example…and for sharing with us your new adventure. you are truly an inspiration to me and have given me “permission” stop obsessing over what to do next….but to just do it! also….you are not setting any deadlines, schedules, “must have it done by ____. i keep forgetting…isn’t that the point of vanlife? take each day and fill it with the thing that will move you forward, even if it means a day of rest. thank you also for sharing the reality that things take longer than expected….yet there are moments when things come together. you have helped me so much…and i am 70 years old…so should know this by now! enjoy your Thanksgiving…you have so much to be thankful for…you have come so far from the anxious young girl to a mature woman who is at ease in herself. what am i thankful for? for one….you, my dear young lady! shalom! ❤
every time a video of yours ends I always wish there was more. They are so soothing and it's so nice to watch you live our dreams out, so if we get the chance you'll have made it slightly easier. Thank you for taking us along!

Love the high speed self commentary while you are working, cracks me up. Also those are some serious jigsaw skills. I couldn't cut a line that straight if I tried!
Only a month into the build and you're on the verge of reaching professional status. I'm sure bigger challenges are ahead, but you have a good support group here that is on your side to succeed. So wonderful seeing your dad (papa alice) 😆 lending daughter a helping hand. Have a Happy Thanksgiving and see you on the 28th. 🦃
wanna see the wring lighting and stove hook ups fer sure
Whew! I was on the edge of my seat, and much relieved when I realized you were doing so much better than when I put the windows in my self-built slide-in truck camper!
Let's just say I avoided having to buy more plywood to re-do both sides....
ALWAYS test fit the first window to make sure you did it right.
I cut mine wrong as I made my cardboard template on the outside instead of the inside dimension.
Your nervousness was justified, but I felt a bit of the triumph you must have felt!
AWESOME!
Not sure how I stumbled upon your channel, but I'm glad i did! I admire your courage and independence. Thank you for sharing your journey.its pretty special ❤️
Your willingness to try and independence is so inspiring and even thrilling to watch at times. Please keep sharing!
Thank God for Papa Alice Mariah. I'm sure he is very proud to have such a capable daughter!
That's huge progress- slowly your truck is turning into a RV.
Thanks for sharing this with us, Mariah. Your tenacity and courage are inspiring ✨️ 💛 AND your editing skills are sweet! I'm also at anchor for a while, working on the vehicle and learning how to make videos. From Prius to van to box 🚚 truck. Watching you grow is marvelous. Stay safe and stay groovy. ~Sonny
It's awesome watching you build out your box home on your own
Note to Papa Alice from one father to another: You did it.
Ifelt your nerves just before you made that first drill hole, then you smashed it!! You must be so proud of yourself x
You are doing amazing work on the windows, well done you 🕊🙏 ❤️
Great to see your Dad 😊
Wow what a transformation! Awesome job Mariah 🎉
Thank you for showing us your builder skills. With out this video I would have not thought to mock up a kitchen to get window & hook up placement for my build. 🤦♀️Thank you so much.
Step by step it's coming together! This is so cool to watch. Thank you for sharing this with us!
I love those kind of windows in my camper!!! 🥰
You're doing all this yourself? Right on! Mad respect!
I think a large framed map of North America mounted to the wall covered by a thin plate of lexan would be a great touch. With lexan cover, you could add removable notes, pins and routes as you travel.
I actually said out loud "you've got this", as the self doubt kicked in before drilling that first hole! 🤣
🥺 I love this
Great choice on the Arctic Turn windows. I have the same ones on my truck camper and absolutely love them. Enjoying watching the new build. Cheers from Oregon.
What a difference those windows made. You did a great job Mariah, and your helper was awesome. Keep at it girl.
You and Finn are gorgeous as ever, keep up the good work.
Just bought my first van. 89 transvan by champion. It’s in really good condition for its age. Fixed the power, propane, and water tanks. Need to learn upholstery for the couch bed. Thanks for being an inspiration Mariah!
Your skills are growing in leaps and bounds, you go girl!
Hi Mariah, 💓
You are so Inspiring and Amazing.
Great Job 👍 on the windows.
Liked the video 👍👍 👍👍👍
Wishing your small family a happy turkey day!
Take Care and Stay Safe 🙏♥️
Sincerely,

Love the get go, in horror at the lack of planning in the layout - I’m like aaah!!! But it’s not my build and excited to see where the winds of fate take it! Epic job and great to follow you on the journey- long may it continue.

Awesome that Papa Alice could help out on the project. Nothing wrong with support of others to make life just a little bit less anxiety provoking. Great job !
I can only imagine Papa Alice is very proud of your "go for it" attitude and your willingness to make mistakes and learn from them. It is an extremely valuable skill to possess. Bravo Mariah, I look forward to your many adventures!
I totally felt your anxiety before you drilled the first hole for the first window and I felt the relief and joy afterwards.
Impressive! I never would have imagined that you could turn a box truck into livable space.
Your dad helping you made me sob! I'm a daddy's girl and my dad always comes to my rescue. I plan on getting my own rig and project so it's special to see yall working together. I hope I'll be able to do the same.

Congratulations on your big steps so far. Keep walking forward, you are doing a great job! Thanks for sharing your journey! Safe travels!
Love your little doggie 🐕 too!! So cute!! 💓
The video was an inspiration to just doing things, I also liked the little dog snuggled in a blanket. Thanks.
Love your windows! So proud of you Mariah, you are living your best life and thanks for bringing us along. Finn looks so happy ❤
Absolutely beautiful job ...
I am no professional ànd don't know for sure but those cross boards you took off were there to keep the walls from vibrating during heavy winds and bumpy roads .I really don't know and might be checked out so those windows don't shatter.
Regardless you are very talented and should be proud of yourself... can't wait to see future projects and travels
You'd have to think they're there for a reason. To stop the walls flexing seems about right.
You've done some remarkable work. Your persistence and determination is bringing your dream closer everyday. Keep it up. On another note you are absolutely beautiful 😘
Idk why it’s so funny when you speed it up, your voice cracks me up 🤣 good job on the windows!
Fair dinkum. You young women of today never cease to amaze me with the challenges you tackle. Well done! Dads sure come in handy don’t they? Well done Poppa Alice. I’m so excited for you Mariah and am so enjoying your build❤️❤️❤️🦋
Hello Mariah! I'm so grateful for you to shared your passion to us, your Dedication to build yung new truck as a home. Much lang always and Keepsafe. Enjoy travels! 💯💗
Windows really do make a home, lights the whole place up :)
Omg, you did an awesome job Mariah , Congratulations sweetie. ❤
Your next step is to put solar panels on that roof, that can fold out and give you a shelter wherever you stop while charging your batteries to run your A/C, fridge, TV, Computer, etc... Great work.
Loved seeing your dad helping you and... the new windows are amazing. What a change they provide. Very cool. You're on your way!
Very impressed with your carpentry. I can't imagine how scary it is to cut 3 big holes in the truck you just bought.
gettin' friendly with the saw--kinda jiggy!! love the windows--and I see you went first class with the screens, shades all built in--so smart
The windows simply transformed this build instantly. Now it looks like a proper camper van! Great job!!
Great job, i miss my dad.... You may as well stay there and build what you can with dad's assistance 😉♥️
You are building trade skills and problem skills for life. If you were my child I would be so proud of you. I had my 6 year old daughter watch this with me. I recently built an off road trailer from scratch so she has seen how hard this all is. Good job.
I find the freestyle way you are doing the build very refreshing and it fits your character nicely. I wish I could have some of that attitude. I am the exact opposite. I wouldn't pick up a screwdriver before having gone through 30 iterations of a complete CAD model of the built.

Mariah, So far so good! Remember small steps to make your dreams come true!
I am so excited for your sake. You are a brave young wiman and I kniw your new home will be a success! Well done! Can't wait for your next video, with or without new additions to the van!
Brilliant video. I recently watched a van build video from the UK and the guy had about three other van build experts with him. They cut the first window too big in the side door. He had to buy another door which wasn't the right colour and cut again. From then on, he worked alone. I think it is best.
I am extremely impressed with your windows good job Young lady.
"Smooth"... You made me smile.
You guys speak so fast! I guess it runs in the family.
I adore your videos and I'm in love with the potential of this build.
Thanks for another excellent video. I bought a 12v blanket today to keep me warm on my trip to Pittsburgh for Thanksgiving. Good job on cutting the windows, my daughter cut mine out for me.
Honestly such a smart idea while cutting out the holes to use tape to help secure the cut ends. Otherwise the loose side would've vibrated really bad while cutting the other sides
Your work is awesome, I can’t wait to see what is next. You’re a brave woman to undertake such a large project!
I seriously look forward to your videos every week, I wish you had more that you uploaded in a week... but still grateful! You put WINDOWs in your box truck. That is something you should be proud of!!
Very impressed. You have learned how to be self-sufficient and a dynamo.
Young lady you are Awesome 👌 👏 You can do anything you set your mind to do 💯🤟
Those windows are very nice, love the swing out awning type with the shades built in!
Almost all dads are great. They are typically always ready to give us a helping hand.
