By the way, before you get any wrong ideas about Re:Zero, most people would want you to know that, like the Fate series, Re:Zero is a character study. Meaning that all of the tension, developments, and plot come from the characters choices, beliefs, and motivations. Lots of people don't like shows like Re:Zero or Fate because there is a lot of talking between the characters when all they want is action. Just a small heads up.
This is a good heads up, and I'd definitely advocate for more people knowing this before watching it, but for some reason, I feel like Luke would pick up on this fast and enjoy the show exactly for what it is. I might be wrong in that though

It ticks so many boxes of what you like and the whole score (osts) for the series is just amazing! This is an ost that plays during 2 episodes the writer of re zero (it’s based on a light novel) liked it so much he named a chapter after the ost Also please do the directors cut!
@@GOTGames episode 1 of re:zero is already 40 minutes in both. You'd have to cut that regardless. Or, just don't cut at all. That'll get you through it quicker as well + original is sort of censored and has some odd ost placement
@@GOTGames aww yeah I get that, you could cut them in the middle it's pretty clear where one episode ends and when the next one starts! (The directors cut stitches 2 episodes together that's why they're double length) it also has the ova memory snow in the playlist where it canonically takes place highly recommended it to watch it there and then and the 2nd one "the frozen bond" after season 1 if not "memory snow" the first one takes place after episode 11 There's a few uncensored scenes, translation fixes, improved animation here and there and a after credit scene in the last episode of season 1 but if it's too much extra work it's totally understandable! If you end up doing the directors cut fans of the series are probably gonna look for a few of "that" episode so episode one is a 1 hour episode anyways the part a & part b is a bit weird on cs for the regular version since it's meant to be watched together but from episode 2 on first part of the episode I'd episode 2 and the other half episode 3 for episode 3 it's episode 4 & episode 5 and so on
There is also Tragedy:Eternity which also an OST for Re:Zero but they didn't use it in the anime (maybe in s3). It would be interesting for you to react to it since it's not in the anime. It's by myth&roid and it is so Favorite one (thats why im writing this) Nice reaction as always 🔥🔥🔥

The 3rd gen has one op for one season. But the Japanese version has multiple ops for a season in any gen. You should definitely check both versions out. You know when anime is serious with their ost means the anime is absolutely good. The other ost is good as well other than myth roid. But you know, there's nothing to compare when an anime did an ost for a ringtone phone with absolute banger soundtrack. Yeah nothing in re zero ost compare to the Subaru (Main Character) Ringtone. I use this ringtone in my phone long ago when i finish the series. Makes me see a thing looks like a whale fly in the sky.

Re:Zero does have a banger soundtrack. As for the anime itself, as others it focuses less on the action and more on the choices the characters make. Mind you, there are fights but do not expect them to be at center stage. . . . As for other recommendations: - Magi. OPs - EDs - OSTs. Just do them all in order. As for specific OSTs "L'Arabesque Sindria" and "Enfin Apparu" are the most well known. - Shakugan no Shana. Again all 3 for the music buuuut this is kinda older from other suggestions. - Slayers. Even older than the previous ones but still great one. - Last but not least check "Le Chant De Roma" OST from Akame ga Kill. It has grown on me quite a bit.

Funny you mention MYTH & ROID's style as "future and past" because that's literally what their name is about lol. It's basically a transliteration of "Myth android," and it's about their desire to combine traditional and fantastical sounding melodies with futuristic, kind of techno background. And yeah this is a banger, there is no bad music in Re:Zero. The best OST is probably Requiem of Silence, but I highly recommend you don't react to it and actually just hear it when it happens in the anime (won't say when to not spoil anything).

This song is not an opening nor ending properly, it's an insert song used only in ep 7 as an ending, and in ep 39 as an opening. But the end part of the song is kinda different bc it's made for causing an impression on Cliff Hanger, as it was used in the anime.
People like the 7 deadly sins is an anime that I see people liking the openings but not the anime, and the few friends that liked 7 deadly sins at first dropped it after a bit
There is for example Isekai Cheat Magician which is a pretty shitty copy-pasted Isekai that has one of my favourite Myth & Roid songs as its opening. Also about the long vocal at the end. I'm pretty sure they just reversed it.
A bad anime? That’s a good question. There are definitely a lot of bad animes. One that simply has a terrible story that I think everyone would agree on is School Days, especially because of that ending. But what’s truly bad is when a masterpiece of a manga gets an awful anime adaptation. The best example of this would be Berserk 2016. The manga is literally the greatest fictional story ever told in my opinion, but that CGI animation in the anime looks worse than AI. Hopefully one day Berserk gets the adaptation it deserves.
the thing is people only recommend good anime openings from good anime. there are also anime openings that are amazing but the anime is bad to terrible. something like "libra" from asca is great but Shironeko Project Zero Chronicle is not, but it still got this amazing opening to claim for it's name.

The reason why Re:Zero is my favorite isekai because of the dark themes presented throughout the anime. It’s more of a thriller to me.

can you check out MYTH&ROID's Frozen Rain song. It was written for Re:Zero but never used in the Anime. Its my favorite song from M&R!
Funny you mention MYTH & ROID's style as "future and past" because that's literally what their name is about lol. It's basically a transliteration of "Myth android," and it's about their desire to combine traditional and fantastical sounding melodies with futuristic, kind of techno background. And yeah this is a banger, there is no bad music in Re:Zero. The best OST is probably Requiem of Silence, but I highly recommend you don't react to it and actually just hear it when it happens in the anime (won't say when to not spoil anything).

This song is not an opening nor ending properly, it's an insert song used only in ep 7 as an ending, and in ep 39 as an opening. But the end part of the song is kinda different bc it's made for causing an impression on Cliff Hanger, as it was used in the anime.

I've had both recommended but the directors cut is 45 mins plus per episode so probably the normal.

There is for example Isekai Cheat Magician which is a pretty shitty copy-pasted Isekai that has one of my favourite Myth & Roid songs as its opening.

A bad anime? That’s a good question. There are definitely a lot of bad animes. One that simply has a terrible story that I think everyone would agree on is School Days, especially because of that ending.
But what’s truly bad is when a masterpiece of a manga gets an awful anime adaptation. The best example of this would be Berserk 2016. The manga is literally the greatest fictional story ever told in my opinion, but that CGI animation in the anime looks worse than AI. Hopefully one day Berserk gets the adaptation it deserves.

the thing is people only recommend good anime openings from good anime. there are also anime openings that are amazing but the anime is bad to terrible. something like "libra" from asca is great but Shironeko Project Zero Chronicle is not, but it still got this amazing opening to claim for it's name.
