I have narcissistic personality disorder ( NPD ) and I've been in therapy for my personality disorder since 2017 and it has definitely changed my life because without it, I would have lost everything.

Oh my god for 20 years , these things more and more break my heart , I just can't understand how a person who has been wanting a person for such a long time in order to just the ruin the other person's life . I think if you've supplied something the new supply doesn't they won't forget you. They compare new supply to the old supply.
I believe they forget about you the moment they start planning a move to another supply.They forget about you before they even leave they relationship. They dont care..Move on.
Not always. Some of them that also have BPD will circle back once the other person isn't doing it for them anymore. It's dangerous to assume they just move on. They may or may not and you should still stay alert either way.

He told me he never misses me and that I'm not an important factor in his life yet comes back each year tells me he loves me and that it was a timing issue and then discards me once I take him seriously. It's like his Sunday special routine.
My narc ex gf told me early on that I was “already in my journal as people I’ll never forget”.

I'm finally away from him after 10 yrs- of an on again/ off again. It's been a month officially that I've gone
NO CONTACT. I told him I will call the police if he shows up & I will. I treat him like a wild animal b/c it's what they understand. When I finally woke up & saw what was happening, I went into a rage. If he tries to contact me, I'll call the police & I let my friends/family know. You have to expose them like cock roaches. I married him 4 months ago after 4 years together and a lot of forgiveness but the last attack I got him arrested. In that time I left the house changed location, phone number, email. 2 months no contact now and the rest from now on. He’s on bail to not contact me but he wouldn’t be able to anyway. My trust and faith is in god now 🙏

not only did I block Him a while back but I finally deleted Him from my contacts and deleted ALL His TEXTS. I felt like I was holding on to a tethered piece of thread that needed cutting ✂️

Dude WILL NEVER forget ME! 35 years! I elevated his life! He had discarded me emotionally but was so obsessed he didn’t want to discard me physically but through death…. I know that’s not a brag because that can be dangerous but just saying if they are obsessed with you and you were married to them. Had kids by them and impacted their life positively; they WILL never forget you! NEVER! We spent over half both our lives together. You will remember them but not in a good way. But they will always remember you forever in a positive way. They may go back and forth by telling themselves lies because they don’t take accountability but they KNOW and remember how good you were to them. They REMEMBER! ❤️🙏

It becomes so difficult because when you are two people on different paths in life there is going to be a push pull of each person trying to stay on the path they chose. At some point the battle gets harder for them because they were pretending to be a righteous person. Pretending they wanted a life with God at their center for us but they really don’t and at some point it becomes very hard for them to fake it. He looked and acted like he wanted out. Like he wanted something else so bad so I set him free to live his life as he please…. He’s playing games with the only thing he can play games with post-divorce, the alimony but his games eventually will just lead to him being garnished. I pray for him and his family and especially my adult kids. I did my job as a wife, a mother, a friend and so on to everyone. I used to have a God complex trying to save everyone. I don’t now. I care but I leave the saving to God. I mean I for sure speak the truth and use my wisdom and knowledge but I don’t put people on my back anymore. 😊❤️🙏
They maybe forget the person you are because they never knew you at the first place (they didn´t care to know you). But they don´t forget what you did for them (because they have sure troubles without you)... All of us were great supplies and easy to use (I was too).
22 years with a narcissist. He treated me like a princess. As soon as I said no to something. Then he would punish me.
Host me. He had total control over me. Until I found out he was playing happy family’s with another woman.
That was the braking point. Went no contact. Four years out. I have never heard of him again. This was a very painful process. But I knew I could not go on with him. I stopped selling my soul to the devil. Some days I still feel his energy around me. A real strange feeling.

We were together 14 years. She is diagnosed with personality disorder. I didn't know what that meant at the time and, quite frankly, didn't care because I loved her,she was beautiful , and she "treated" me better than butter on toast. At least I thought she did. There were glimmers of being treated well sprinkled here and there, but they were outweighed with the bad. The point is no, they don't forget you. Even if they just see you as supply. For whatever the reason, they don't. I've looked at her social media here, and there she has made videos saying she loves me to death and post very specific photos I took of her over 10 years ago on social media. She then removed them, I'm guessing, because they were too obvious because I was a part of that time frame. In conclusion, they don't forget you, especially if you were together a long time. I close with, if you are able to stay off their social media. If you have to look, try to limit it because in the narcissist head, they know you are likely looking months and years later after a discard. This, of course, as we all know, is the Trauma Bond which is impossible to break. You can get better at managing the Trauma Bond but it never fully goes away. Your superpower is not reacting to anything they say or do moving forward. Thanks for reading.
I resonated a lot with you said. I was with my ex for 10 years and she’s “moved on” to a new boo who has my same name, similar hairstyle, and looks like me (a friend of a friend saw this on FB and sent it to me)… so I definitely agree: they don’t forget you, especially in a long term relationship.
My goal ultimately is to move on💯 ... I don't want anything to do with him. There is no closure because our partner has used us- & that is NEVER okay.
The "covert" ones I know never forgot and forgave those who left them or didn't evwn want to be with them. Their grudges and hatred last a lifetime, even if they have better lifes, later on. If their victims have a better life afterwards, the grudges will definitely be way bigger than if they are bad off

I feel that I was the best he ever had, with him not being with me he doesn’t look good at all but when he was with me he looked really good, my daughter’s boyfriend saw his arrest picture he doesn’t look good at all and I am glad he doesn’t look good.
I been broken up with mine for a little over a month and today made two weeks of no contact. I was his longest relationship of only two years l. I know he won't forgive because I elevated him in many ways. But I know I don't see myself being able to forgive him and more less giving him another chance.
My director at work, who is also a new friend of mine, has a husband who knows him and told me a couple of days ago. "If it makes you feel any better, he is miserable." The last time I saw him was literally two weeks ago, and I noticed he has lost weight, but she told me her husband told her that he looks "terrible. " He's lost more weight. And like you said, it does make me feel somewhat better. Because I feel he is feeling like that because one, he lost me, and two I exposed him with a couple of people.

I think it depends on the person and the situation and if kids are involved. Yes i agree with Lee! If you were a great supply and have a long history with them i don't think they forget you. BUT i do think their NOT sitting around daydreaming about YOU and the memories you shared. Or losing sleep over you.

Yep, I had one stalk me for 20 years , only knew him for 3 months (I found out he was married and I told him never come around again, he's not honest person!). Didn't listen. He would wait outside of my job (then drive off when I saw him). Would be outside of places I lived (then drive off). He would call the HR dept of some of my jobs and report strange things about me. I could not date as if I went out with a guy, his tires would end up slashed during the date. My apartment was robbed (it was him). It was terrible. He was destroying my life and I couldn't stop it. I had to move and not tell anyone in the family. Found out my sister was in touch with him and she was telling him where I was (that's why my dates got their tires slashed, I would tell her where I was going) so I never told anyone anything again. It worked. One day I didn't see him anymore. I looked him up and he had passed away.

I ran into my first ex like 2weeks ago that I was with for 10yrs & it's been like 20yrs since we've been separated & he said to me he was the one that ruined the relationship. He still regrets it to this day with the way he treated me. His got a child now & said his not happy but not my problem now.

You’re right. Depends what n the impact. I don’t think they forget. Doesn’t mean they truly cared. Even if they never reach out to you again they remember you and will think about you from time to time. The ones that become obsessed may never leave you alone without intervention.

Some people are just throwaways to the narcissist. Like a snack of junk food. The others are meals. It has nothing to do with the longevity of the relationship though. My mother had nothing but contempt for my father who she was with over 20 years. She was slagging him off again - in front of his children and grandchildren, like the class act she is - before we’d even had his funeral. Meanwhile there was a 3 month fling that she idealised for YEARS. She was still infatuated when he left whilst my father had been thoroughly devalued and discarded decades ago. Some people think because they were married they were special to the narcissist and this is sometimes far from the case.

My ex only stayed 7.5 years bc I was Grade A supply. It never meant to stay for a long time just a narc time. Me abandoning myself after being loved bombed & unaware abuse repeatedly, back to love bombing 7.5 years I was in love & confused. We were together all the time but not bc it loved me so much (so I thought) it bc it can’t be alone. It doesn’t have anything to do with me. The 40% of me that wasn’t left empty after the final discard had to pull that weight back up. 14 months narc free. And my head still shakes when a flashback strikes 🤦🏽♀️

I just broke up with mine a little over a month and today made 2 weeks of no contact. We were together for 2 years and during our break up is that I actually started talking to his sister and she told me, "not because I'm talking to you now but you were the best he ever had in every aspect, you elevated him, and you were the prettiest." And I know that's a fact.
I'm going to say yes, in my circumstances anyway.
After the protection order, he moved on, made up some lies about me that he genuinely believes and found someone else. I'm sure he's fine. I'm worried about his wife... but that's why I got the protection order in the first place. It was so that there would be a paper trail for any woman who comes after me if she needs to file. It's hard to leave. If he has a blemish on his record already, hopefully it helps her if she needs it.

Yes, they do. But it takes a long time. My narc thanked me when I broke up with how I made him forget about his ex. He was in love with his ex, like in real love. I know because I was his friend before she dumped him for another guy.
He was most likely a narcissist with her too. They always play the victim and make it sound to everyone else that they were perfect to their partner and that they were the bad, toxic one. Because they have an image to maintain. They get very angry if someone tries to reveal them. If you talk to her I bet you would be surprised of what really happened.

I was with My ex-husband for 17 years straight non-stop even after I divorce him still around him everyday talking on the phone, going places every other days, in and out the house, he live with me two time I live in his momma house six month so I been with since 2004 - 2023 of last year constantly then got discarded April 2023 after the momma die and over there everyday caring for his sick momma with the siblings so I feel like I don't exist now . I'm still trauma bond to him. Impact help him when he was down and out went to jail for one years and 3 half years in prison still was by his side. After the divorce we was still lover never stop fooling around but he woukd gaslight me and future fake that we going to be better for each other I kept trying to make everything work at the end I thought he would see more good because I sacrifice to come in and take time to care for that momma hell no I got discared for new supply heartbroken I'm going through this now hurting because I did everything I lost out just for staying the long haul trying to prove my worthiness. Cast out like trash 😢

That makes sense. It depends on the narcissist and the impact. Based on this information, I can see that my ex-husband being obsessed with me 2 years later. We were married 3 and a half years but he received a lot of supply from me. I rescued him from financial crisis after crisis 🙄The last hoovering attempt was only 5 months ago at that. Honestly it is frightening in some cases, my partner and i have to accept that he had children with a narcissist and that she will sometimes be distracted with other sources of supply however, he is always going to be viewed by her as the primary source when her life sucks, she is always, always gonna come back to mess with him and us. She is already displaying stalker like tendencies and i imagine this will amplify over time and the more established we get. The worst thing is not knowing when she sees fit in her mind to come back around. I think he genuinely felt she would stop- i know it wont but the good thing is i can see her behaviour is becoming more and more disgusting to the point where he is blocking

Those 15 years we went through a lot and when he got caught hitting me in June of 2023 the judge put a danko order on him and he went to jail, but I saw that he made a facebook page but haven’t said anything to me on there but I feel he’s watching my post but he’s not been on Facebook.

Lee, I had 3 attempts at buying us a house but every time he sabotaged it by being nasty to me. He still lives at home with his mum and I really don't think he can afford his own place as he doesn't work. Is he likely to forget me? We were together for 2 and a half years. All his friends and family think I am the problem. Love the purple bows! 💜

I went full no contact with my sister in 1994. She stalked me incessantly until 2009, despite my pointless attempt to get help from the police (who ridiculed me).
I got a friend to write on her last letter to me in 2009, "RTS DEC'D" and sent it back to her. Since then she only occasionally stalks me. I'm pretty sure she doesn't believe I'm dead, but as she doesn't actually get to talk to me or actually see me, she's not getting any supply from me.
She will never get from anyone else what she got from me. She needs to make me feel abject terror, and she is unlikely to ever get that from anyone - unless, that is, she finds a child to persecute. Fortunately, she can't have kids.
Unfortunately, my other sister has 3 kids. My other sister was the Golden Child in our family dynamic, and, given what she did to me, I'm sure she's abusing her kids. I suspect my niece is the scapegoat in that family.

I wish he would to be honest. He comes back when he gets dumped, claims he dumped them and that he had the 'ultimate realisation' that I was the one for him. Not even a week later, he's begging it with his ex haha. I hear all this from friends that are his neighbours..just hilarious and I wish he wouldn't even bother coming back with the 'Ive woken up, I'm owning up to my mistakes' bs, when it doesn't even last a week.

I asked him was he going to let me go. He said never. He has kept in contact with his high school sweet heart 25 years and was hurt when she finally discarded him. After 9 months of no contact after 2 years of crazy he showed up on my doorstep on my video doorbell. He said he missed me and wanted to see me, but I told him (thanks to you Lee )I didn't want to see him. He left and that was 6 months ago. Hopefully he won't return.
