Contemplation V3 here, thanks for the explanation and all the other ID:Core content you've shared. /// 1 I can't determine from the manual if Cab Rig settings are only routed through headphones and USB output and not the speakers and TRRS stream feed. Maybe a regular TRS connection from the headphones output is a workaround for some scenarios where you'd want to include the Cab Rig. Then add some kind of TRRS splitter to send the mixed output (incl. eg. backing tracks playing on the device) to both the streaming app and a headphones jack (not the one on the ID:Core). To include a mic use a loudspeaker app or something similar on another phone and send its output through its headphones jack to the ID:Core line in. /// 2 Or, if at home with a laptop/desktop open anyway, run it as a USB interface into your DAW and send the mixed output by TRS or TRRS cable to the streaming app. With a virtual mixer (like Voicemeeter on PC, native on MacOS IIRC) you can mix in any source from web or local file as well as a mic input. Totally overkill if there are some good apps that can mix both internal mic, jack input (from ID:Core) and virtual sources (eg. spotify) on the device itself. No clue about that, IIRC iOS allows for clever routing between audio apps but I've never tried it myself. /// 3 There is a TRRS use case as a stereo DI with the ID:Core volume controlled by the player as monitor level while FOH gets the emulated output. Previous versions muted the speaker. /// 3b There is a noticeable hiss/hum/white noise from my V1, both in speakers and headphones, some V2 users report the same, don't know if V3 is different. It's loud enough to make it unnerving as a podcast and youtube speaker for me. Would be an issue in more delicate venues and genres as well. /// 4 There is also a TRRS use case for the ID:Core 10 V3 I guess, for teachers f.ex. carrying it around to their students - or students carrying it around their music school, to quickly share a snippet or rough demo. Tech-averse singer songwriters also comes in mind. But still, the missing mic remains a hassle and there are other units available with a basic mic input as well, some of them also with built in rechargeable battery. If you don't need that nor a speaker you might as well use one of those tiny amplug thingys straight from the guitar's output jack or use an audio interface for the mobile device like IK's irig. /// 4b To just add verbal notes and such maybe some apps enables easy switching between jack input and internal mic. Or just sing and talk unplugged and record room sound into the phone mic and camera app if you can, good enough for 98% of the IG crowd I guess. If you really need almost studio quality 48k stereo you're probably not using a phone or tablet for that anyway? /// 5 I've got a decent signal chain for my acoustics going into the MP3 input on my ID:Core 20 V1 from a Zoom G multi fx where you can switch output impedance between line and amp level. The clean warm voice is almost usable for the piezo output from one of them and the great effects of the Core can then be used. /// Sorry for the long ramble - just trying to figure out how these options can be used best. I'm trying the tiny Beam next week, headphones out only on that one and I'm still rocking the MIGHTY FLY 3.

I'm having a bit of trouble with the livestream capability. Once I plug the TRRS cable in, I get a loud noise similar to when you plug in your guitar cable with no guitar.
