The Phil Collins drum fill at 1:22 ... I’m dying!! 🤣
WOW!!! That was fkn awesome and Holy Accurate boys & girls... For real , Your Talent as musicians and as a band as a whole is absolutely undeniable and unbelievable... My Respect to each of you, 100% .. Great job Band Geeks!!! Fun and enjoyable video indeed
I'll have to put one in for my dad:
Vocals: Grace Slick and Little Richard
Guitar: Eric Clapton
Bass: Geddy Lee
Keyboard: Donald Fagen
Drums: Keith Moon
Song: Radar Love (Golden Earring)
IndianaBones or Spanky McFarland from Spanky and our gang..
Just the ending alone was epic!! You guys are truly Masters!!! Love all of your episodes.
That was horribly wonderful
Well put!
This is far and away my favorite arrangement of one of my least favorite songs!
For a group exhibiting the Dark Arts (Jazz), Guitars - Mark Knopfler and Jeff Beck, for Drums - Charley Drayton (Divinyls/Cold Chisel and many others), Bass is Victor Wooten, Keyboards - Allan Holdsworth and two Vocalists again for different stylings - Shana Halligan (Bitter:Sweet) and Caroline Esmeralda van der Leeuw (Caro Emerald)
OMG! That was insanely cool. The Mike McDonald was spot on and so was the Celine. Phil Collins on the drums was perfect.
Great job capturing each player/singer's style...yeah, I was singing along...
every once in a while you come across something truly excellent. thanks for lifting my spirits.
You folks are so talented. You cross genres, styles, mix and match, etc, and damn but that young lady has got some pipes on her!!! I'm hooked. Subbed
I really love this idea and Hope you do this again
I've always loved everything about this -- especially Andy's tribute to Chick Corea. RIP Chick!
Tongue-in-cheek-iness of it all aside, I wonder if there are more than 10 people alive who can hit that last note. Just incredible. Great stuff all around.
How the hell did you guys ever pull this off so well? You guys all accurately mimicked your favorite artists so well!
Just stumbled on this. My goodness this is clever, funny and fantastic.
Just effin outstanding. Vocals on point.
This is one of the greatest things I have ever seen.
Michael McDonald = Dead On!
Wow, you are all FANTASTIC! Love the concept. Great musical impressions of Celine and Michael, and the Beatles as background singers was strangely awesome! Well done, lady and gentlemen!
"in the air tonight" drum fill... is there nothing else that can be associated with Phil Collins? lol
Nope!
This is awesome! No other video ever made me smile this much.
Mike McDonald is spot on bro! Kudos!
Wow, didn’t expect to find this looking around. What creativity! You guys are the best combination of musical talent, humour and entertainment!
That was freakin' awesome!! So much to unpack there... 👌😂
Loved this. Please more of these - What about the following fantasy band: Bass - Geddy Lee (Rush); Drums Jeff Porcaro (Toto), Keys - Howard Jones, Acoustic Guitar - Nancy Wilson (Heart), Electric Guitar - Mark Knopfler (Dire Straits), Lead Vox - Lou Gramm (Foreigner), Background Vox - ABBA . Could do What a Food Believes (Doobie Brothers), or Don't Stop Believing (Journey).
I love the incongruous descending Chic Corea chromatics. Perfect.
what a hoot everyone twisted it just right awesome job
That is an absolute RIOT! You crack me up!
That ending was worth the price of admission! Haha Really cool!
Ann Marie has some voice.....she's incredible !
This is simply the best channel and collection of musicians in the known universe. Thank you.
Just stumbled on this. Can't believe it actually worked.
Just amazing
I loved this..so fun!!
man this is PURE GOLD
Outstanding!!!
That girl has an amazing voice and projection! Great Michael McDonald impersonation by the way 😊
This is crazy, what else is there to say? Let's have more!!
Rarely I had so much fun listening to a cover version. Richie, you and the guys (and the gal of course) are tremendous anyways and every time, but this one... You nailed every of those musicians and I had literally tears in my eyes laughing. Richie, as a musician myself I envy you for your talent, your abilities and all those lovely talented people you are sourounding yourself. Best wishes from Germany, KaDe
First of all. You guys are awesome! Second, that was a trainwreck 😂 but still delightful. 🤯
Top shelf stuff guys
It's a big YES from me, you're through to the next round!!!
Why have only 84,000 people seen this?
Good job. Holy balls.
You guys crack me up. Talent, a sense of humor. lol Love from South Florida
I can't even explain how awesome this is.
I'm thrilled to say that I just saw the band geeks last night with Jon Anderson at the space at Westbury!! I am so happy for these guys! WAXX TRAXX TO THE MAXX ON WUSB FM NY. Drop me a line when the tour wraps!!
Brian May in the house. MM and CD nailed em. Phil fills everywhere. Chick Corea doing it only like Chick Corea can.
STAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHPPPPPP IT! Just in to the chorus, and my ribs are killing me already from laughing!!!! Too damn much talent there! You guys are great as yourselves, but really, I can close my eyes and see your drafted band doing this tune! Michael McDonald is DEAD ON!!!!!
wasn't sure how this would sound based on Richie's explanation - but it is both excellent & hilarious! Well done
One word: brilliant! !
What a cool idea. Had no idea what it was about until I got the full explanation. Totally wild and funny. Especially, since I o certain sang this in a su.mer theater production decades ago. Loved it.
How fun! I'm laughing and yet incredibly impressed.
Punk/Alternative group - bass is Flea, Drums are Dave Barbarossa (Bow Wow Wow), Guitar and vocals - Justine Frischman (Elastica), Keyboard is Sharon Mew (Elastica) and Vocals are Siouxsie Sioux and Florence Welch (Florence and the Machine)
That was totally freaking awesome guys! Brian May is my favorite guitarist too. Loved the back up Beatles. I'll be smiling for days. Thanks guys!
Absolutely spot on!
You guys should do more of these!
I’ve just noticed this was 2 years ago, so maybe you have.
Where did Ann Marie get those last notes from? That takes one hell of a lot of puff!!!
Watch band geeks version of JANE
I was smiling from ear to ear, the whole way through.
That was pretty sweet. It's amazing to see how much work you and your team put into producing these great videos. Keep them coming! Oh, I would like to hear some more DIO!
Just watched this...the milk almost came out of my nose....hilarious. Since you nailed it, maybe consider
a Patti Labelle/Michael McDonald doing "On My Own" while slurring the words...but with the authentic sound of
the original recording with that soulful ballad feel. Kind of a take on Eddie Murphy doing James Brown but you can't understand a thing he's saying....you guys could pull it off.
Laughter is good for the soul and from what I've seen in your videos, the love of your craft really shows. Take care and keep it going....can't wait for the next one...Mike and Patti Live LOL.
That's a solid Michael McDonald and the constant over the top Phil Collins drumming was pretty funny!
Heavy on licks. But what do i know ? Wonderfully done.
You had me at Michael Mcdonald.
I propose that you do fantasy draft/summer nights 2. This time Van Halen's Summer Nights
It was very dangerous to drink water while listening to his Michael McDonald.
This is genius. I love this!
Awesome!!!!!!!!!!
That was, ugh...FREAKING AWESOME! XD! I honestly don't think you guys could stink, if you tried.
Btw, you guys should do/post some "behind the scenes" BG videos. You could call it, "Behind the Geeks". Love the music, but it would be really great to see everyone in their "natural habitats".:)
That's definitely Phil Collins' drum rolling!
Ritchie you lost me after Chris Squire. Chic Correa over Keith Emerson (the GOAT) But you guys are amazing.
So interesting. It sounds exactly like the fantasy band you described. Every part was spot on (although it's not easy to sound exactly like the whole Fab 4). Keyboard was absolutely bangin'. 👍👍
Redunkulous! You guys are to talented!
This is hilarious! And amazing!
The voices is amazing
Nice version in Clean Band Geek style ! Love your version of this song
Absolutely fantastic! amazing!
Ha ha! Andy just went completely left-field on that keyboard!
Liked the Chick Corea keyboard work most of all.
Listening to Richie's explanation I had to watch it all the way through and it was AMAZING!!! Nice work
If loving this is wrong I don’t want to be right!
That was frigging AWESOME!!!! 😳😀
That was so badass. You need to do more like this. Please!
Sweet! Love this!
Great stuff!
This is Mystique band in disguise!! You guys ( and fantastic chick) are not only great musicians, this was a brilliant idea that can only be executed with the level of talent you have, please, please keep going. It takes talent and big b... to attemp this 👏👏
Love this idea. There are so many fun fantasy bands to imagine:
vocals: Brian Wilson (Beach Boys) and Christina Aguilera
Guitar: Stevie Ray Vaughan
Bass: Paul McCartney
Keyboard: Jerry Lee lewis
Drums: John Bonham
Song: I knew you were waiting (Aretha Franklin & George Michael)
wouter e thats something Id love to hear!
wouter e
You lost me at Christina Aguilera. I guess it would work if the idea was to mash together as many disparate elements as possible. Kinda like mixing mashed potatoes with toffee flavored ice cream, sauerkraut, aspirin powder, onions, caramel, soy sauce and botulism. Lol
AM's sustain at the end.
I will never watch Grease the same way again. Not a bad thing. Thanks folks, you all are so epic.
FLAME OFF! Sounded really cool ! Ann Marie always sounds great, the Bass was INSANE!
This was genius! 👍🏻
So funny. And so good. My God, Ann Marie's voice!! And that Mike McDonald, awesome.
Wow this the best cover band on U tube .
WOW!
Wow what and ending, I got goosebumps in anticipation of how she was going to do that!
Band Geek Gods! What else can I say?
awesome !! :)
Your a freaking genius Richie!
A-f'ing-mazing!
Freaking killer!
Hmm - Fantasy Group For straight out Rock -N- Roll Guitars - Yngwie Malmsteen and Don Felder, Bass - Getty Lee, Drums - Richard Harvey (Divinyls), Key Board / Piano- Andrew Giddings (Jethro Tull), Vocals - I'm going to name two vocalists for flexibility - Chrissy Amphlette (Divinyls) and Noddy Hill (Slade)
Ann Marie has it and she knows it.
That ending! Ufff
Not worthy of flaming at all! Only very talented musicians & singers could pull it off! The iconic Collins drum roll, Rick-o-sound bass and Corea-style keyboards ..... Insane !
Love the song, love your cover. Would only recommend Idina Menzel, Fergie, or Shakira instead of Celine Dion (honestly not sure about female, just not Dion) and Michael Bolton in lieu of McDonald. Again, love it, just wondering what that would sound like.
I mean, everyone was great, but Jesus actual Christ, Ann Marie's finale. When this episode went out I kept winding that back.
