God, how he played in the movie " Carlito's Way "! Rather, he did not play, but lived his role on the screen. I just physically felt Carlito die when he was being wheeled at the end of the movie on a gurney.. "Dreams don't come true on their own, they need to be caught up." What strikes me most about al Pacino is his eyes - huge, dark brown, tragic. The eyes of a wise dog-a tramp, homeless, beaten by life. Many critics say that all his characters are United by loneliness. Pacino believes that what unites them is a burning desire to survive.

I liked Al Pacino best in both The Godfather (1972) and The Irishman (2019). I also liked him in The Godfather: Part II (1974), Glengarry Glen Ross (1992), Scent of a Woman (1992; won an Oscar for Best Actor), Donnie Brasco (1997) and Insider (1999).
The Godfather is epic and unmatched in any form shape size budget anything you can imagine .....The greatest movie ever made ........All crime and gangster movies made depics something from the Godfather in my personal opinion all I can say.........I'm just being honest and truthfull

I'd choose Carlito's Way over the Godfather any day. And Godfather III is overrated as shit. Just because the Godfather I and II are brilliant doesn't make the last one any good.

As others have said, 'Scarecrow', 'You Don't Know Jack' (even though it is HBO, rather than a cinema release) and 'Serpico' should have been in the top 10. Nevertheless, pleased to see Glengarry Glen Ross and The Insider on the list.

For some reason I didn't like Dog Day afternoon, nor Serpico. They were boring AF. However I think Devil's advocate is one of the best movies ever made, not just Pacino's and it should be in top 5. Otherwise, the list is pretty good.

SCARECROW is an underrated performance and so is PANIC IN NEEDLE PARK. People forget that Pacino plays vulnerable in a very nuanced and authentic way.
