Love the 5 spoke chrome handle and lock on this. Mine is 3 black ones. I think my inside is nicer (leather trimmed shelves) but this one looks more serious from outside.
Just picked mine up today. Two of us unloaded it from a Silverado pickup into my garage. Going to use forearm forklift straps to get up 5 stairs into the house and in bedroom. You can do it!
Cut 1.5 in PVC pipe into chunks that fit through doorways and you can move it anywhere. Can use as rollers or as slides to go up slopes with two guys easy.
Mine is 24 or 26 gun, doesn’t matter, they all lie. But it’s 360 lbs. I have super soft real wood floors, a moving blanket and that thing slid smoothly into where I wanted it. Door comes off too, just lift up and don’t lose the ball bearings in the bottom of the hinges. Takes off 125 lbs for moving.
Trevis Stall yes there a hole in the bottom back of it and it’s up to you if you want to run an extension cord through the hole or actually run an outlet to the inside of it which is what I did on mine however I do electrical in a regular basis and was able to run wire from right behind the safe and into the safe and have it’s own electrical outlet that’s directly powered from my house electrical.
I have the same 26 gun Winchester safe. Thanks for the electrical option information. I'll be following your lead. Isn't utube great for just this sort of thing.
Just got mine. Have to cut down shelve to get it to fit Have to tear back carpet and reglue and staple. Both sides should be open like the left don't understand why you have to slide long guns up thru the hole on the right. Quality control needs to step up.but other than that probably a 7 out of 10 for the price
Running a dehumidifier outside next to it would work just as good. If you are storing your guns in a basement I would not recommend it. Save yourself a lot of headaches and buy battery operated strip light and some two sided tape
Thank you, I believe you are correct these ones that I have were outsourced to China. Winchester opened a new factory in Fort Worth, Texas in 2012 so the newer ones should be made in USA. I was looking at some Liberty safes which are very nice and they are stamped Made in USA.
I found it on Amazon. Behind that is an outlet kit made for safes. So the wire goes though the hole cut in the safe for it already. Then you install the plug end on it. I then put the surge protector on it just for piece of mind running the lights and the Golden Rod is always on. But then I could also put electronic items in the safe as well.
I have one like this I use for ammo, I went to home depot got EMT 4x4 box and wired up two plugs in it. in my case I drilled a hole in bottom beside there its bolted to floor and fished wire up into it.
@@davidbass4453 if you are standing in front of it mine is located in the lower left hand corner of the back. Mine has about a quarter inch hole in the steel for the wire to pass through.
@@TransAmexpert You da man! That would be highly appreciated. I've narrowed my choice down to this safe and another, can't decide if I should purchase now or wait for black friday deals.
@@JonnyPeee I can't find the same one i have but i would get the kit from Liberty Safe. I seen it on Amazon for 40 bucks and I think my next safe will be A liberty.
DaveFrom Accounting I’ve had the the larger safe for 7 years and the smaller one for 3 years now. I’ve never had an issue with it. In 7 years I only had to change the battery twice.
SafeLogic Xtreme is the way to go, to hell with a key pad. I have a higher end Winchester 2500 pounds & does not have a key. Get rid of that electronic lock. Also put a LED light in there that you can leave on that generates some heat to act as a dehumidifier.
Lol seriously??.. the guy has a golden rod and a moisture control pak humidifier.. the only thing he needs to watch is drying out the wood stocks on the firearms. LED lights put off very little heat.
I just bought this safe - I hope to make mine as badass as yours. You did an awesome job man
That Chapman set! Used Chapman in the Navy on weapon systems and it always worked!

This is the one I want to get. Just don’t know how to move the thing

J Rod I did it with 3 guys. Worked out

That lighting kit looks very nice. I didn't know that model came with a power outlet in it. Thank you for the content.
Nathan
There isn’t a power outlet in it, you have to run power to it.
@@James_Edward59 how do you run power? Is there a hole ?

I have the same safe with almost the exact same setup. I uploaded a video about 7 or so years ago doing a walkthrough of my safe.
Where you get the light kit
Its actually a kitchen cabinet light set that i got off amazon. It fit perfect in the corners.
Can someone send me the link for this safe???

I got my safe bolted down in my basement and humidity is at 43 to 49. Is that bad? Should I move it from my basement? Please help. First safe
Very nice setup!
willglo thank you!
Very nice and clean
Is there access for the power strip or did u have to drill it
There is a hole pre drilled through the safe already. All you have to do is drill through the flame retardant plates which is no problem.
👍nice setup
LOOKS GOOD! WHERE DOES IT SAY IT'S MADE? SOME ARE CHINA, PORTUGAL, USA...ETC.

Where did you get that belkin surge protector? and how did you hook it up, drill hole bigger to get the plug through the back of the safe?
I found it on Amazon. Behind that is an outlet kit made for safes. So the wire goes though the hole cut in the safe for it already. Then you install the plug end on it. I have made a newer video where you might be able to see it better.
Where did you get that led light kit? I want it thats really bright.
I actually found it on Amazon. It was just an under the cabinet set but worked perfect for the safe and fairly cheap.
im curious, does your winchester safe have a hole in the back bottom for the dehumidifier cord??
fondoo it has one in the back near the bottom. You still have to drill through all of the fireproofing material but the hole is there in the steel.
Was it hard to drill thru?
Do you happen to have the link to the outlet/power you ran to this safe? Much appreciated, thanks.
I have one like this I use for ammo, I went to home depot got EMT 4x4 box and wired up two plugs in it. in my case I drilled a hole in bottom beside there its bolted to floor and fished wire up into it.
But if I had it to do over I would have gotten a power strip with long cord cut the end off it and just ran it through and put a new plug on it.
how dare you not mention the best gun in that safe.... The Zastava m70 lol
I have the same safe how did you run power into it I don’t see any pre-drilled holes in the rear or back?
Matthew Rodriguez mine had a predrilled hole in the rear of the safe. The fire retardant on the inside is what I had to poke a hole in to.
@@TransAmexpert Where in the rear? Closer to the bottom or close to the top? On the right side or the left side?
@@davidbass4453 if you are standing in front of it mine is located in the lower left hand corner of the back. Mine has about a quarter inch hole in the steel for the wire to pass through.
Info on yr lighting in safe?
Klock37 I just ordered some under cabinet lighting off Amazon and a outlet kit from Winchester. Pretty simple install all around.
@@TransAmexpert I can't seem to find that outlet anywhere on Winchester's site or Google. Do you happen to have a link you could share? Thanks!
curlyhead1 I actually ordered everything of amazon. I’ll see if I can find exactly which ones I got.

Any issues with the keypad? I just need a spacious place to put my collection and to keep my daughter and her little friends hands off of them.

Is this fire rated? What it cost you out the door?
It is 30 minutes at 1200 degrees. I want to say it about 700 otd then about another $75 in the lighting and dehumidifier.
That’s a line graph.
Don’t care what weapons you stock but more interested in how your ran wiring into safe for lights and humidifier….
