My family of 4 went to a ski ⛷ holiday with our Model Y, including Ski for whole family (fold down middle seat in back row) + all luggage 🧳 + food 🍱 without any rooftop box 😎 amazing!
Agree 100% with Bjorn and all the comments- amazing all-around car. Speedy, sporty, great for kids, seat comfort quality materials, towing, head/leg room, sound system, storage. No compromises!
Bjørn, let me know if you want to do this test on my X raven you tested before :) It is awesome with small kids, also the FWDs are so practical when you take in and out the kids + they protect you from the rain when the kids dont behave 😂
Love your videos Bjørn. As a father with a Model 3, I have to recommend the Prince Lionheart Car Seat Protector. Before you know it, the child has long enough legs to kick the seat. Here this protection is absolutely perfect. It is also hard so you dont get marks on the seat.
After installing and removing our "BeSafe iZi Twist" in the Model 3 Performance like 50 times it takes me about 20 seconds to install it. You learn where the mounts are located after a while and it becomes second nature :)
I have looked into some studies and all of these state: High SoC is bad, the integrale of temperature over time is bad and high c-rating (especially over 3c is hurting) is bad. Combine these, then you have the worst case 😉. My model 3 with the lfp55-battery tends to over-warming the battery in my eyes. If I AC-charge it, it tries to warm it to 25°C, even in winter, when ist over roughly 5°C. When you start driving (w/o fast charging destination in the navigation), it even tries to get the battery to over 30°C, if outside-temps are warmer than 15°C. In my eyes they are increasing calendar aging by doing this. My average driving c-rate is clearly below 0,3C. I think Tesla did this because of some guys, complaining about charging not fast enough, when spontaniously fast charging... for the people without a garage with a wallbox it is Import. But for me, its not good. I wish, I could tell the car not to waste energy and not to calandar age the battery without any reason in my case.
When I tested the Model Y I also found the space even better than on my BMW X3 G01. However I was disappointed by the lack of attention to detail by Tesla. The access to the isofix anchor points is very bad, compared to the nice doorlets the BMW has. But worse of it, the Tesla Model Y could not figure out by itself that there was a car seat attached, and kept beeping during the whole test drive, 30 min!. I also couldn’t find anywhere in the menu how to disable the acoustic warning. I may not be an expert on Teslas UI but any acoustic warning on a car should be matched by an informational screen and allow the user to take action via the same screen to correct it. At the end I felt quite disappointed by the Model Y. Yes, lots of space but felt like an empty shell. Unfortunately the competition is also subpar in general, which makes the Model Y still the best electric SUV in that price range/category.
@@texanmonke then it means it's just where it should be! It's just us, being used to have to click throughout 15 menus to turn such a warning off. In Tesla it on the very top when you might need it!!
Great Video thanks Bjørn highly appreciated! Like many others we are considering a model Y but with 3 kids we have to figure out the car seat problems. We have look at the Multimac car seats/insets from UK. Maybe if you come across a seat like that in the future it would be nice to see a video/test All the best from Iceland
Thanks for this video Bjørn. Can we do Mach E please and Ev6? Also I’m not sure where you get your source, for side collisions having the baby at the middle seat makes sense but for both front or rear crashes, the baby seat is a projectile waiting to happen since there’s no anchor on most cars at the middle seats.
Bjorn, do you adjust the front seat when placing the seat in the rear? Last week, I had the pleasure to rent model y and with the same setup, I had to compromise between stretching my legs or reclining my back. because my seat was pushing against cloud z. What is your height ? I am 187cm

To avoid lawsuits, in US, Tesla puts a sign in the trunk "please remove the baby from the stroller before putting the stroller into the trunk" .
Haha reminds me of the hotel I went to where a note on the toilet said; "please do not drink this water" 🙉
LOL First world problems.
"What's this, some kind of weapon?"
::immediately hear sirens approaching::
😅🤣🤣
I love my model Y. It’s so versatile and efficient and I have the tow hit s I I can carry two heavy ebikes too
That immense space is the reason why I get one Model Y for myself. Roadtrips with 2 children and a medium size dog needs some space.

Isofix-tip: Attach the one closest to you first, and then just rotate the child seat until the other one clicks in
The best real world practical review with child seats. Also a funny overview
Can you do this test for the IONIQ 5?

How does the middle seat between carseats compare to the Model 3?
You've gotten any answer?
@@swekiwi4517 not really, but it seems a bit wider looking at the middle seat and also the rear armrest.
@@Deveonn .. for the Model Y? So it its slightly "larger"?
@@swekiwi4517 yes, the Model Y rear bench looks wider then the Model 3. The outer seats are more oriented to the center in the 3.

Thank you!! This video is great.
My 2008 Citroën C5 has front isofix, but we never used it... 😊

On the screen where it shows which seat isn't buckled, tap the icon to change it to car seat symbol and it'll stop doing that.
@@texanmonke Thank you very much! I even tried voice commands but did not work. Sometimes things are so obvious that become invisible.

try „Noeme“ seats...i could fit 3 seats in the backrow in my model 3. in my new model y 3 seats shouldn‘t be a problem.

Please do a test like this in a Model X 🙌🙌
Can you also do a Test with 3 child seats? It’s quite horrible with a 6,5 and 0 yr old :)
nice model 3 hatchback
User, suggest a car seat and stroller for model y 7 seater
The frunk is for used dipers! 🙊
The front weapon is for tow the car (car crane), every car has this.
Yup. Bjorn likes teasing us 😉
He's just trolling.
I miss the "do you like this shit?" questions 😪
Ummm I dont think I can share this video. You may have overstepped the mark during rear seat fitment. Remember your audience for this video…
That was really unnecessary stupid
Would you like it if someone talk about your daughter that way some day?🙄
